For the money its an amazing camera, just be sure to carry an extra battery with you. jpgs from camera are just ok. But I shoot raw and use DXO software and images can't be beat by anything even costing 2x as much. Very happy with it, really like silent shooting.

I am mostly a landscape shooter, but I also shoot sports (grandkids), portraits and travel photography. This camera is the perfect match for my A6500. I normally would use the A6500 for sports because of the crop factor, but last week I used the A7Rii to shoot my grandson's baseball game a got some great shots by cropping. For the money the A7Rii is perfect.

Got this camera to get back to shooting, after a long hiatus. Love the size and capabilities. I've used it for concert photos, street photography and portraits. No complains.

Amazing image quality and control. The EVF on this camera is a pleasure to use and I have everything I need in it. For resolution it has you covered. I wish it had slightly higher fps capabilities but I guess that's why Sony just dropped the A9. No regrets here though.

I like the lighter weight and the new menu vs dial arrangement. Easier to find and select settings and still shoot fast. The 5-axis image stabilization is a big plus. Fantastic resolution and image size. Very satisfied!

Does what the reviews say it does. Best with native FE lenses, but adapted lenses do work well. Metabones IV t works for most Canon EF lenses.

I jumped ship from my Canon 5D Mark ii system to join the Sony Full-Frame mirrorless camp. I couldn't be happier with the purchase! The picture quality is marvelous, as is the compactness of the entire camera system. It's taken a little getting used to the new settings of the Sony but I'm confident I will fully integrate here within the next month. Don't miss using this fantastic camera!

This camera is superb in feel and performance. I suggest you watch a YouTube video to get to know it better. The instructions that come with it are almost useless.

This camera produces high quality images like I have never seen. It is not the fastest camera so I wouldn't recommend it for sport/action shots, but if you want to produce thoughtful high resolution and sharp images, this is the one for you. And I never worry to crop my images because the resolution is so high.

I shoot pictures for the Shriners and I needed a new camera. This was the best deal I found and I thought I would try it out. I had the 7II but I seen the 7R II and decided to get it. I just wish I could afford a better one. A great value and takes excellent photos. I have been a long time user of Sony.

And yes, I am another pro photographer who switch into the mirrorless world. Why do I need an optic source (reflex) to setup my camera if I will use my picture in a digital environment???. It does not make any sense. With my Sony Alpha A7II and now with my new A7RII ?my post production? settings starts at the very moment that I look through the awesome e-viewfinder *T (Zeiss coated) and setup my picture. I am working fast, accurate, I can share my pictures in real time, come on people you have to be blind if you continue believing that DSLR have future, we are living in a digital era, leave the heavy DSLR bricks to remember one important and beautiful era in the history of photography. ... I was impressed right out of the box for size and ease of operation. I've been using Cannon for years but wanted something lighter in this upgrade. You can read so many other reviews for the technical things that suit your situation; but for me quality of image and portability are unmatched. When I'm out the door with only a back pack this is the camera I'm taking.

This camera was purchased after a long wait for me, and I have to say it was worth it. Crystal clear images and sharp video even at pretty high ISO. If you're worried about battery life, don't be. Sony offers external charging and a battery grip so battery has never been an issue for me.

I used the same Sony DSLR for 8 years and a million miles, and I debated buying an a7 for awhile. I found the a7rII at just the right time. Still very up to date but a much easier price than when it debuted. I use her mostly outside, pretty cold lately, and so far so great.
