This is my first shotgun microphone and thus far I'm pleased with the results. Clean sound, sturdy design, and a fairly good price. My only disappointment has been in customizing my Canon C100's mic holder to fit the MKE 600. (Which is more of a problem with the camera than it is the microphone).

I've been using this mic in doc shooting, both run and gun and in controlled interviews. For such an inexpensive shotgun I'm impressed! The presence and richness of sound are great without being boomy on the low end. Definitely would recommend.

Great mic for the money, takes pretty clean audio with low noise. Compared back to back with higher end mics, there is a notable difference, but it can definitely be used with confidence to get good sound.

Use this mic with my Sony Pro camcorder. Its audio quality and build are absolutely top shelf and at a very affordable price. I will be purchasing two more in the near future for my other camcorders

Attaching this shotgun mic on top of my Sony NEX Handycam gives me the ability to mix the mic level with a line level input to an attenuator attached to the camera base. It provides a balanced XLR connection that avoids many of the problems I've run into with mini connectors. The mic looks classy, picks up distant audio very clearly, and is lightweight.

I intend to use this for on camera for my DSLR and on the boom pole flying overhead for interviews into an H4N as it has the ability to do phantom or battery power. I've had a chance to try it out on camera so far and it sounds pretty nice. No complaints or issues with it thus far and I've had good luck with sennheiser gear in the past, so I was really happy to see this was available.

This mic seems to capture the sounds i want but it is so sensitive you can hear the humming noise if you do not know how to set up the mic properly. It is great for interview and light enough to shoot with just one person. what is also great it has phatom power just incase your battery runs out and don't have any extra

This is a great sounding microphone for ENG type productions. I've used it in a variety of settings and it delivers every time. The included wind screen works very well at blocking wind noise. It was pretty convenient to have so many parts at once to start working with. The shock mount seems a little fragile, I would prefer some metal for strength there.

I use this mic while filming with my d750. Great sound, and low noise. A lot of complaints about picking up wind, but I didn't have that problem with only the supplied windscreen. Worth it.

Soup to nuts this Senheiser Mic and kit of accessories is everything you need to get Hi End Audio to your DSLR or in my case Canon XF100 ... Incredible sound both indoor and out. There is no better package on the market. Trust me, I looked.

Very clear audio and cancels background audio very well, (but not totally). Nicely done. I use this MIC to record Action-sports and it does a great job of allowing enough ambient noise to pass through to set the environment however your subject is heard in clear detail. I was very impressed. Quality manufactured piece.

I love this mic and have gotten some award-winning sound out of it. It works like any other shotgun mic so nothing much to add. The only complaint is that when you turn it on, it has a red light that indicates it's powered up but then it goes off right away. Another complaint is I always forget to turn it off.. But this is a great mic with great sound.

Very pleased with my purchase. I did a lot, and I mean A LOT of research before deciding on this mic. It came down to Sennheiser vs Rode and this Sennheiser mic beats the Rode NTG2 hands down. Better sound quality, less noise, etc. i use it mainly for filming interviews and the results have been fantastic. Worth the money amd no regrets.

I shoot documentary and this was a perfect balance for me of quality and portability. The boom pole is on the shorter side but that works well for my setup and I like the light weight. Strong microphone with excellent sound.

Disappointed. Bought to replace a 10 year old ME66. Side by side a disappointment. The 66 is no 416 but the 600 is definitely not a 66.

I gave this little guy a 5 star because of what it is for the price. It by no means can compete with my 416 or other shorts costing 3 times as much but for the money it is a very nice unit. If you're on a budget this one is a must.
