Bought it to fit on my DSLR and it works very well. It's abit larger than I expected but not a problem as it's mounted on a cage. The shock mount works fine, I've had no issues with it. I also bought the dead cat, which is essential outdoors, it functions but isn't a good fit at all.

I've only used it once now... but I do love it. There's so much less ambient noise in my recordings. The mic is put together well and I love the shockmount. Only thing is that I wish it came with some sort of case either hard or cloth.

I use this mic to film music and live performances and I've had great success with it. At high levels there may be a tiny bit of distortion but nothing bad in my opinion. Great little mic and great performance for the price and anyone on a budget.

versatile and quick to mount, needs better placement so you can use viewfinder to take snap shots as well. your head hits the back when trying stills shots. Moving the mount forward and sliding the mic back to keep weight balance will enable both video and stills to be taken

I use this mic on my Nikon D800 when shooting video. The suspension system does a good job to isolate the mic to provide a good clean recording. Very good sound quality and build for a reasonable price.

This mic is great, it produces great sound in a very simple frame. The one thing I would say is that a dead cat is needed if you shoot in the wind. Other than it does pick up some wind noise the mic is wonderful, easy to use and gets the job done.

This produce is very handy when it comes to traveling around town with my camera backpack. The mic picks up sound very well and there are now downsides to it. GREAT PRODUCT! I shoot with the Canon T2i.

I am quite happy with the microphone, it picks up signal quite impressive and absolutely way better than the built-in microphone. The only thing is the battery housing made of plastic, makes it feels kind of cheap.

I used this mic for a small student film instead of a boom, and I got better results than I had gotten with a previous shoot using a boom mic. I recommend this easy, compact high quality mic for a no-headache shoot .

I bought this to use with my canon 60d. I chose the shotgun over the stereo because isolating the sound is going to be more important that having stereo in almost every case that I'm shooting. I do commercials and wedding videos.

You will need to buy a dead kitten/ wooly wind-jammer to really eliminate wind noise. Plastic construction seems cheap and flimsy BUT hasn't broken yet. Integrated shockmount is cute. Not bad for a first shotgun. Plenty of room for improvement IF you are willing to spend more money.

No fault of Rode's. Sounds great when connected to our computer. However due to Canon's auto gain control you will record a very loud hissing sound over your audio. So sad that Canon would give us an unusable mic input.

Easy connection, secure mount, simple shock dampening system. 2 settings. Does improve sound recording. The high setting filters well unwanted noise. Will require extension bracket with some LCD monitor locations.

It has a cheap lightweight plastic feel but works better than expected. A very good value for the relatively low price. I'm very glad I can improve the souns so inexpensively since I mostly use it for family videos.

I would not buy this again. One of the features that lead me to opt for this mic was the 3 stage PAD filter. Unfortunately it's pretty well inaccessible. It gives the product a kind of shoddy feel. Oh well, probably my bad..

The quality of the sound is incredible. Very professional and easy to use. Just don't forget, if the mic is off but plugged into the camera, there will be no sound whatsoever, not even from the camera mic. So please don't forget to turn it on!

I use the Rode for close up video vs using the hassle of clip on mics. Rode produces outstanding audio quality. Fast B&H shipping was awesome. It really helped me keep on schedule with my clients!

Affordable and high quality sound. It's a great alternative to using on the on-camera mic of my D600, and much more convenient for run-and-gun filming than using the Zoom 2N.
