I use this for VO recording and some light instrumental work. The is the perfect ADC for my purposes. The preamps are great, the controls are simple and feel solid. I have used similar products from the other major manufacturers and this unit beats them all. Add in the low cost and there is no better option. I wish it had an on/off switch and a midi input.

More than a week of struggling with downloading "bundled Pro Tools First and Ableton Live Software", I still don't have the software installed. So, I cannot try out the Scarlett 2i2 2nd Generation hardware product. The current situation is very frustrating. If this issue is not resolved soon, I will return the product to B&H and I do not recommend this Audio Interface to beginners in audio recording & playback.

My retailer recommended the brand, I did some research, and found a great price online. This is a great interface for amateurs, bedroom studio pros, and mobile artists. Input levels are viewed with a colored ring instead of meters, but it does the job well enough. Sound is pure...excellent product.

small and compact, easy to store, this is very good if you only do simple vocal recording since it only has 2 output. the quality is solid with no static since its balanced. only draw back is its usp powered so it eats your cpu and power supply a little bit, and the direct monitoring doesnt have enough boost as you'd like, but for sub 100 this is a very good choice if you don need many outputs.

I use it with Premier Pro CC and it works great. Just need to make sure the settings in Premier are set right. The large knob on the front is easy to reach. The headphone volume is independent of the main volume, which is very nice.

The plug and play usability of this device is excellent. I did the research to see which model would meet my needs and this one fit the bill. It sounds fantastic and the portability along with ease of connectivity with my computers in multiple locations was key for me. If you are brand new and need easy to use or if you are a seasoned interface user with minimal connection needs at one time, this device will not disappoint!

The Scarlett is solid, and functional. The microphone is pretty impressive but has a bit more sibilance than wanted - might do a capsule mod on it. The headphones are horrible! loud creaky plastic, uncomfortable, weak, and they broke within a handful of uses. These should never have been made and NEVER sold for recording use (unless you want a ton of plastic creaky noises in your recordings).

All I wanted to do was record my DJ sets on my PC. For a very long time, I used another cheaper audio interface which gave me nothing but configuration problems; honestly it didnt sound good either. What finally spurred me to replace it was when a friend told me my sets were NOT in stereo. The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 PROPERLY installed in minutes, and sounds GREAT!! I never knew what I was missing in sound quality. NEVER AGAIN will I value cost over QUALITY!!

I'm a novice and just started to begin getting better audio for my YouTube channel. I'm using a Xlr microphone. and either speakers or earbuds connected for narrating and voice over. Has a totally premium feel and look at this price range. At this time I don't need more to my channel and can highly recommend this phantom powered input device to any one looking.

Love my Scarlett 2i2. It was quick and easy to get things ready to start recording. Solid build. Easy to use. If you're looking for the ability to record audio, or looking to do video recordings with external mics, on your computer, you'd be hard pressed to find a better device. Especially for the price.

After initial difficulties setting everything up and getting it running (there are minimal directions for the mic stand) I am very pleased with how everything works. The headphones are a bit uncomfortable as I am used to a higher quality, but works in the literal sense. Overall, for the price, it was well worth it as a bundle.

The ability to live-monitor the mic input is absolutely essential in this unit, and allows me to modulate my speaking voice to really get great videoconferencing quality. Everything worked great, right out of the box with zero driver installs even on my Linux computer. Sound quality is amazing and the whole thing is solidly built and looks beautiful as well.

I use this to record my demos at home. It integrated with my laptop seamlessly. I would give it a five star rating based on the unit itself, but with the free software it comes with, it far surpasses most other products in overall value. Its versatility is easily on par with other pricey units. I'm very happy with my purchase!

I am now able to have rehearsals and jam sessions from remote locations with band members and others.

Great interface to connect with other musicians during online jamming sessions. Allows social distancing during pandemic. I like these features: individual halo for each input to monitor clipping, "air" switch adds presence to acoustic guitar and individual headphone volume knob. Bought this interface to upgrade from another unit and I'm glad I did.

I have a Focusrite Saffire 6 but wanted a smaller unit to do my voiceover work on the road. The Scarlett 2i2 is a great mic interface. It's portable, lightweight and give a super clean clear sound. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this for playback. The fact that I can record too is a bonus. Paired with some nice small studio monitors, this is a desktop audio system that is IMO equal to audiophile stuff costing double or more.

I didn't have to do much to get this up and running. It connected to everything with ease. I had a usb-c cable to usb-c cable already so was able to plug it directly into my MacBook Pro. I was pleased with how it sounds and it feels very well built. Make sure you have the wider headphone plug as you need an adapter for 1/8 inch. So far I love it!

Super easy to set up and glad I went with the Focusrite instead of a sound card. I had some buzzing from my monitor speakers on my old computer (which had an m-audio sound card installed) and that went away. I highly recommend this for better sounding audio. I mix and produce music on my pc and ocassionally record audio, and I love the simplicity of this interface. Works great and sounds amazing!

I got my mobile studio kit from b&h, delivery was super fast, I know this equipment is not the top of the line, but for my needs it's perfect! Very easy to install [MacBook pro] when u installing, the website shows u step by step so u must be really really special person to not get it! I am not a professional recorder or engineer I just do that for the hobbie, and for that I got my money worth!
