I'm a low budget filmmaker and I use this with my hv30 and a Hosa XLR line adapter and it works great! My only problem is that its really long to mount on my camcorder when I cant mount it on a boom. But its a great buy!

Mic works great. I use for School Board meetings and independent filming. This is my second one. First one still going strong.

Mounts to the shoe of most camcorders. It is not a flimzy mount but suseptable to rough handling. Great sound and added new life to an older camera. I would readily use it on my XH A1s. Good price too.

the first mic they sent was faulty and I sent it back for a replacement. In about a week and a half I got the replacement and hook it to my camera and it produces great sound. I do a lot of weddings and believe this mic is worth the money. It works great with my GL-1 canon but not with my XL-1

I use my shotgun mic with both a hand mount and boom pole. The mic gives excellent sound quality and at a decent price. If you want the best pay the price, but if not this will do the job nicely.

I use it for eng and i am surprised with quality. Clear sound and battery operated, great. Lo cut is a bit to much cuting and i dont use it. For this price is wery good mic. I think that this mic is better than lot of microphones in higher price range.

I love this microphone. The sound quality is outstanding, it's compact, and even comes with its own shock-mount and wind screen. The day I got it, I took it right out of the box, put in the battery, plugged it in and it sounded great. It is so simple to use and provides such high quality audio.

This is a great shotgun mic that beats the Rode Videomic by a long shot. I use it with my Canon HV30 and it is killer! This is a lot of bang for your buck.

mic worked great for run and gun situations. An extended hot shoe allows me to use this mic, a lav mic and a camera light on a handheld panasonic. perfect.

Wonderful shotgun microphone. Only picks up what you point it at. I really like the frequency roll off option to take out the wind or maybe cars in the background. Very useful and easy to use as well!

I am just starting to build up my collection video equipment and this was a great cheap way to start with. I am a musician and usually have a high standard on equipment but I am tight on cash. For now this does the job, but I will be upgrading when I can. So far I have been mounting it via mic stand, not on the camera. XLR is a huge plus especially with the H4n.

It's doing exactly what the reviews suggest, providing an adequate starter mic for me in indie film. Sometimes there's a significant amount of feedback, and even a cylindrical fur cover doesn't silence the wind interference.

I use this for my Canon XH A1. I didn't have a ton of money to spend on a mic but I needed something better than the on camera mic. This mic is very affordable and provides clear, quality sound that is much better than I expected for the price.

I have been using this mic on a boom pole to record sync sound for narrative films. The XLR output allows me to plug it directly into my Zoom H4N and run a cable longer than 10 feet without audio interference. The sound quality is clear and strong.

Awesome, affordable microphone, that provides excellent audio for small projects. Works well even with the surrounding sounds of Manhattan.

I got this for Chrismas and have been very happy with it. I will say it's not the best out there but it's still the best in the price range IMO My only complaint is the threaded holes made for a mic stand won't work with standard stands. I simply clip mine on with a standard clip style clamp.

I use it on my 5D, 7D rigs as well as my XHs. I've used it with my Marantz PMD661 for documentary work and it's clear as can be.

This mic works just as good as its competitors in the $ price range! It has superb noise canceling ability while providing rich audio. I would suggest this mic for video production specialists everywhere! B &H always delivers a quality product in a timely manner.
