works great with my gl1 during interviewing and distant subjects. Not very well with my XL1.

I use this microphone for all of my short videos and the mic itself is good quality and everything but the windscreen definitely needs help.

I am hoping this mic works well. I am a complete audio video novice. I recently purchased a Panasonic AVCcam and wanted to up the video sound quality. This mic was well reviewed. It looks great but it arrived without any cord to connect it to the camera. I was sort of disappointed about that. There was some type of rebate that I filled out that seemed to indicate I would later receive the cord. I just wish I did not have to jump through this extra hoop.
