I was looking to improve the audio quality on my EOS5 II. This little thing did a great job. Mounts securely to the hot shoe of my camera and does a great job at honing in on the subject, while eliminating background noise. Very light-weight and well made.

when it arrived, everything in the box smelled musty and moldy, however it works very well. I wish it came with more instructions though.

This was a great buy for the price. The only thing I don't like is that it is really sensitive to the wind. There was an extremely light breeze--almost unnoticeable--but it kept distorting the audio.

I use this mic at home and on side projects. For the price point, i have yet to find a better alternative, and I have tried a few. Durable and the sound quality is great.

I use this on my Sony HDR-AX2000 shooting short docs for a web based media channel and other content. The sound and directional quality are wonderful. We have an audio-technica lav so wanted for the sound quality to match.

I am an indie filmmaker and find this mic very sufficient for my needs. My only complaint is how batteries appear to drain when the mic is not in use, due to no on/off switch. Otherwise, great mic!

I use this mic for indie filmmaking. It has good quality sound. Great for indoors. Make sure to have a pro shock-mount and find a good windjammer (or make it by yourself and save the money).
