many people say at this price, this is the best bang for the buck.. I can not test other ccompetition...but from what I hear from this mic..it is very good.. I think good enough for amateur or even profession on low budget..with correct way of operation mic..professional can still get decent result..but of course..more expensive one would be better

So far I've gotten great use out of this mic. If you're into recording weddings, this is a great starter mic, plus you'll get your money back in no time.

I've used this mic mostly on a boom for a 2-3 years. It's held up well and I've largely been pleased with it. The midrange is kind of bitey, for lack of a better word, so I think I'm going to find something a little sweeter to go on the boom, and relegate this to an on-cam mic.

My voice sounds incredible with this little shotgun mic. I am amazed how such an inexpensive mic outperforms my more expenseive mic. So glad I got it!

I use it with my Canon XH-A1 and it brought me nothing but great audio.

I use it for videos for my website. Having a microphone in front of me was distracting for what I'm doing. This one picks up great from a distance with quality. However, outside I need to get a better wind screen, because when the wind picks up, you hear that. Well worth the money!

This microphone is one of the best microphones I've ever used. I have used many mics in the past from Sennheiser to RDE and I find this microphone have a great durable build quality and great sound for the price.

great assortment of gear, excellent mic. Took it on the road to shoot a documentary days after receiving it and everything worked out very well. Didn't really need a 30 ft xlr but may in the future.

I like the mic's size. Bought it as a substitute for the freebie mic thrown in with the camera I purchased. It has decent on-axis pick up. Subject voices fall off quickly when they move off-axis. Ambient sounds are not completely rejected.

Very small and light. Sound quality is good but limited. Bass is rolled off at 90Hz whether you want it or not. No controls for pad or bass roll off, phantom power must be external. That being said it sounds very good for the price and is very light and small.

Great balance of price and performance. The competitors either sound muddy or are cost prohibitive. The at is excellent.

I use this mic on a number of cameras and sometimes handheld. It fits well on out EX-1R and similar sized cameras. The phantom power means I never have to worry about another battery and the small size stays out of even wide shots. Very well built and good sound quality.

I use this on a Cannon AX20. It was recommended by B&H and they were right on it works very well with this camera. Be sure to purchase a LXR cord to go with it. Neither the microphone or the camera come with one.

Im a big fan! So far it has worked great and I have had no issues. I like that it works great on a mic stand in my studio setup but is also small enough to mount to my camera and work out in the field as well.

dynamic sound from a tiny mic, i used it on my sony ax2000, doesn't compare with on camera mic, its sound much better, soud is clear and sharp no noise the only thing that bothers me is that it's more thin than my camera microphone holder

Bought this mic for the Canon C300 and it fits perfectly. Good sound quality and it does a good job of cutting through the extraneous noise to capture the sound of what you are pointing the mic at.

This was included in the kit I bought to do some internet reviews for a supplement company. I'd been having troubles getting clear sound. So I ordered the kit and wow what a difference. Clear and balanced sound. Well worth the buck!

We used this mic for a short video. It worked really well picking up a variety of voices and sounds. It is light weight and easy to use. For the price, the sound quality was exceptional. It would be nice to have a few more attachment options for greater ease when using it without a mic stand.
