Great iMac for video and photo editing
I upgraded from a MacBook Pro late 2013 model. I upgraded to a SSD and that helped stretch the life of it. However, the laptop showed its age whenever I tried any video editing in Final Cut Pro X. Lightroom and Photoshop performance were acceptable. Im not a pro in the slightest. However, when I buy a Mac I buy more computer than I need since I cant upgrade anything (besides the RAM). The iMac is awesome and I dont miss the portability of the l... Show More

Fast, easy to use and excellent display
Outstanding computer. Sound is very rich with plenty of volume across the spectrum. Speed is excellent as well. The display produces a clear high resolution image with superb color rendition. B&H shipping was fast and on time as promised. Overall, this is an excellent computer and should be considered for anyone interested in a MAC.

Just what I needed (although at the wrong time)
My Macbook Pro died on me while I was unemployed so I had to buy a new computer and spend a lot of money at an inopportune time. Regardless, this computer rocks. I got the highest spec'diMac I could get: 4.2 GHz, 1TB SSD, Radeon Pro 580. I order 32GB of RAM from somewhere else (save your money on this). This computer is WAY faster than my 2011 MBP. I haven't run any benchmark tests, because well, I frankly don't care enough. But I've run Avid, P... Show More

Photo Feature disappointing
I will unfortunately return the iMac. I am a PC user and had hoped I could use the iMac to organize my large photo database and still use my PC system. I was not satisfied with the Photos features - XMP files are ignored and I would have to keep a duplicate photo DB just for the iMac if I want to keep my current system. I tried many applications in addition to Photos but none of them gave me the desired capability with my photo library. I will continue to use Lightroom/Photoshop for my photography.

Excellent Computer - 1TB SSD, 8GB RAM
I love this 27" 5k display iMac computer. It is fast, silent, and the color is awesome. It easily handles all my computing needs. The bluetooth keyboard and mouse are very nice also. They have built in batteries which charge with the included usb to lightning cable.

Quite a bit faster than my 2014 MacBook Pro
So far no complaints other than the default keyboard is a bit light and cheesy. But I already had a nice mechanical which I prefer over Apple's default wireless keyboards. But the speed of the machine and the screen quality are both really nice.

Just as I expected 5 STAR
It's a Mac, how could you expect anything but perfection. Have owned one since the day the Mac II came out....or shortly thereafter. I have owned over 20 different Macs. Have used in my business and personal life. Have also used Windows... and although Windows is pretty good now, it's still not a Macintosh.

What I needed
At first it looked to big and was hard to find the position to look at the whole screen without feeling dizzy. But in a couple of days it was history. Its a great product

Do it for the screen......
Very happy with the computer. Last Mac was a Macintosh 512, umpteen years ago. PCs since then. Very happy with the computer after coming from a Lenovo X1Carbon and a Surface Pro. Using OneDrive to sync my files. Absolutely no issues. Using Quicken with Parallels. Feels quicker than when I was using it with the Surface. Once again, I'm very satisfied and I love the screen!

Jaw Dropping ~ but a bit too big for me
You just can't believe the image quality. You almost fall into the display. I got the 27" because it was only $200 more at the time for 27" 5K vs.21.5" 4K with identical insides (MNE92LL vs. MNE02LL). However, after a couple of weeks, it is really too big for me and wish I hadn't been lured into the 27" by the price.

Great computer for my needs!
I had not had a new Apple iMac in years. I got this for working with Photoshop as I am a professional photographer. It makes my job a lot easier and the machine is way faster than my older computer.

Dream machine
I been wanting one of these for a long time but couldnt justify it. I bought an MacBook Air about 5 years ago to replace a heavy and aging MacBook Pro. I dont need portability anymore and really wanted some speed. I got the base memory and added an additional 32gig of ram myself. Took me less then 5 minutes and saved me over $300. Screen is amazing! Bright and crazy sharp. You have to see it to understand.

What a great machine!
I've used Macs since 1985 and this, for a 'non-professional' machine, is one of the best values Apple has ever produced!

Love, love, love!
This is the second computer I've ordered from B&H. The first one was over 9 years ago! I highly recommend. No issues, quick delivery and great customer service.

27" IMAC
FOUND OUT ABOUT B&H ON A UTUBE MAC REVIEW. PLACED MY ORDER ONLINE. PROCESS WAS SIMPLE AND THE DEAL WAS GREAT. RECEIVED SHIPMENT AS PROMISED. AS FOR THE IMAC, IT IS INCREDIBLE. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND B&H AND IMAC!!!

Fast for Lightroom photo editing.
Upgraded from 2009 3.1Ghz i7 PC w/1066Mhz 12GB memory and SSD to 27" iMac with 4.2Ghz i7 w/2400Mhz memory and 1TB SSD. Upgraded iMac memory to 64GB (more than needed). Lightroom preview build and display of 75MB raw picture file went from about 10 seconds on the PC to less than a second on the iMac SSD and about 1 second on its external USB3 G-Drive. 5GB file copies went from 57MB/s on the PC SSD to instantaneous on iMac SSD. Worthwhile upgrade...
I had a 27" iMac that was about 4 years old (3.5GHz i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and 1TB Fusion drive) and needed more disk space as well as performance upgrade due to the larger raw photos being processed. Migration was seamless with Apple Time Machine, and the performance with Lightroom and Photoshop is significantly improved with the faster CPU and the upgraded graphics processor. Much easier to manage file storage with the larger disk drive. Great upgrade!

Great machine!
Let's face it, in terms of UI Apple makes amazing machines. The iMac is no exception. I debated between getting the smaller 4k iMac, or even a Macbook Pro, but ultimately made the leap to the 27" 5K and am happy I did. Based on my needs and the portability of mobile phones and tablets, the iMac has the best screen size, storage, speed, and processor. It goes without saying, but the resolution is only as good as what you're watching and how fast y... Show More

loving my first IMac
I am a first time Mac user and I will say that there is a learning curve. First, Safari (apples web browser) sucks. It won't accept flash player, so there is a whole load of issues with that. The good thing is you can download google chrome for Mac. That's the ticket!! Things are different on a Mac, but pretty easy to learn your way around. I have an Ipad, IPhone, and an Apple Watch, so all I had left was the Mac! The app store is VERY different ... Show More

iMac and B&H a great combo...
This iMac was a long-waited purchase to replace a MBPro2012. Mated to LR and my Epson P-800, the difference in images is astounding! With added 32gb RAM, it never labors with complex local adj stacking. Ordered from B&H with Apple Pro. Shipped directly from Apple and the purchase and AppleCare were automatically registered when I installed the OS and iCloud Account. Thanks B&H for the usual fantastic service.

Super Fast Machine that does to trick for me with Adobe CC
I'm a multimedia guy. So the horsepower in this machine does me well especially after my MBP 2.8 GHz slowpoke of a machine. This baby renders fast! My one complaint is the noisy fan which is not a good thing in the recording studio side of our business when mixing.

This replaces my first Apple, a 2011, 27 iMac. As former PC user since day one, Im continuously in awe by the brilliant video display and lightning performance thats an Apple hallmark. The 5k video display is simply fabulous. Colors are so rich and vibrant, theres almost a 3D quality to my photographs. Replacement for 2010 IMAC 21"
Screen is great although not as great as I thought it would be. I do lots of photo editing. All other components function similar to my old IMAC. Transition to new machine was without a hitch. I love the industrial design of it.
