This kit includes what you need if you are looking for basic beginner shotgun mic at an affordable price. The sound quality is ok for ambiance sound, but if you look for nice and clean sound recording, you need to look for pro gear.

I've been using it to create training videos. Mic is solid if you're on a tight budget. I do really love all the accessories in the kit. May eventually upgrade the mic and use the rest of the kit with it.

I use it professionally to get better sound than what I was getting from the on camera mic. The only issue I had was it was a bit too skinny for the mic holder of my Canon XH-A1s. Solved it by wrapping rubber bands around it for now.

This is a huge improvement over the mic built into my camera. The accessories included cover most things you'll want to do with this. To be fair there are mics that sound better. My boss has a Rode that I've used, very nice mic but it costs several hundred dollars.

Sounds muffled a little but you can bump the highs in post. mic is skinnier than other shotgun mics and didn't fit in my Sony PXW-X70 without wrapping it with some gaff tape. Definitely better than in camera mic.

I use this product to capture audio during testimonials and interviews and some documentary work. I also use this product for producing speech recording. Quality isn't bad for what the price range of this product is, and I can also spruce the audio clips up in post. Great.

As someone who wanted to start filming his own work, I stumbled on this kit. I've heard mixed reviews on it, but so far I'm really happy with it. You have to keep in mind you need to handle it with care as it is made of mostly plastic, so move slowly when plugging wire in and handle with care.

I have been using this mic for about a month, and it has a rich sound, and works very nicely. It also has a built in filter to cut low frequencies. The cord was tangled, but I unraveled it and re-wrapped it the right way. It has a lot of other accessories packed in, so it is a great value!

I have thus far only attached this microphone a few time just getting a feel for it and how it responses to my cameras. I am very excited put this to the test during a wedding video shoot. I have already used this for some voice-over tests and am pleased with this microphone.

Just it coming in a kit is awesome, not having to buy an XLR cable and a mount separately is great. as for the quality it's good enough to the point where a beginner like myself would say its good, but someone more experienced would say it could use some work.

One of my film peers purchased this Mic last year. And we used it for his short films. So, from that awesome experience with recording the audio for his film, I already knew what this microphone was capable of. Super audio capture !! I recommend this product.

I'm happy with the mics construction and performance. I'm using it in an office setting for recording video blogs. There is quite a bit of echo in the room using the camera's on-board mic. I mounted this mic on a boom stand pointing downward over the desk and the audio is fantastic.

This shotgun mike is perfect for capturing audio when you can't get up close. Although this unit did not compare as favorably to my Sennheiser mike, it did come with an assortment of accessories that well compensated for the difference.

Purchased this to have a nice shotgun with XLR cable so I wouldn't have to use an adaptor like with my Rodes. Works great, very directional. Not made of the best materials, but for less than a hundred bucks, nice kit.
