I bought this a few weeks ago, I think they are excellent for blocking out the outside world amd getting immersed into your music/podcast or anything else you may be watching. The anc is superb, blocks out the victoria line really well. Sound quality is amazing probable one of the best pair of headphones I have owned. I would suggest if you can get the mx5's for not much more than these, then maybe get those as they are supposed to have even better Anc. The only downside I have of these headphones, the mic's for phone calls aint the greatest. ... More

I originally bought these headphones because I have a noisy neighbour who plays bass music very often, the headphones have been a god send! They are fantastic at blocking out low bass type noises! Music and movies sound brilliant on these headphones too. Really easy to use and handy having the app to change settings when needed. Also easy to use touch controls on headphones. Love that music etc pauses when I remove the headphones. 10/10 has been life changing for me, which sounds dramatic but it’s the truth!

I bought these a few weeks ago after seeing a bunch of videos online and was intrigued by the noise cancelling feature as well as their crisp sound quality. I was impressed that they lived up to the 5/5 reviews and have been wearing them all the time - they last so long too which was another feature I liked. They are definitely worth the price and I can see them lasting for a good few years. My friend has them in white and the quality is still the same after a year of using them.

Bought this as a gift but had the chance to try it myself. It's a fantastic headset remarcable for it's noise cancelling and sound quality. It delivers to every promise made in the most outstanding way. It's comfortable to use for a long period of time and will work both with Android and IOS although it seems to bring more to the table when connected to Android. The case that comes with it is really handy and makes it easy to carry around. Also brings a 3.5mm jack in case you need to use it in Airplane mode (no bluetooth).

Bought this around 2-3 weeks ago, the price was great and relatively affordable for the quality I was expecting and I was not let down in any way. The audio and the accompanying audio features/ modes are phenomenal, the sleek, clean and sturdy design is amazing and it feels very comfortable on my head even after/ during hours of intense physical activity. These can be used well in almost all scenarios.

Read all the reviews and was in dilemma to get xm3 or xm4, possibly xm5 in a sale. Searched sites and found xm4 on Amazon used, as new condition £175. They were amazing, matching comfort for long hrs listening with excellent quality. So impressed I wanted new pair so returned and for few quid more had greater satisfaction and knowledge with new pair bought these from Argos. Matching sound with Sony xf3 earbuds both using great free Sony app that can tweak easily for really decent sound whatever music source. Won't be disappointed with these at all. Five Stars.

I am constantly using the headphone all day; it gives me about 3 days of battery life. Sound quality is perfect and the ear cushion comfortably fits in my medium sized ear. Bluetooth sync and transition from iPhone 11 Pro max to iMac is very smooth. Right hand gestures are very useful and not gimmicky at all. The 3.5 mm aux cable is perfect for connecting with my ps4 controller. The only con is very tiny usb c cable. If you are using latest android phones with usb c then you are in luck. Sound quality seems little better and louder with my Samsung s9+ ... More

Nice quality build. I bought these because of selfish colleagues who force their music choices on others. The subwoofer's boom gets through my old headphones mixing with my own music thus creating not the nicest experience. The WH-1000XM4 tackles this easily delivering great sound. There only con I'd like to point out is that hours of wearing them makes your ears sweat and the tiny sweat drops start covering the sensor, something partially bearable but with unknown outcome as a long term effect.

I may not be an expert on headphones as I've primarily used Apple EarPods for the last several years and never used noise cancelling in the last decade. However these headphones have changed my mind in what is possible. Clear sounds, noise cancelling is almost magical and easy to pair and use. I haven't used any of the advanced features like pairing to two devices, but the touch interface to pause, skip, ets works well. It also pauses music when you take the headphone off and plus when put back on your head. That is pretty nice. Overall very happy with the is purchase. ... More

These headphones do exactly what they advertise. Noise cancellation is top-class & comfort is pretty crazy (super light). BUT the only thing is that the frequency response above 16kHz is severely lacking & it's quite noticeable. Even in the wired mode where it's rated for the usual 40kHz, still the same situation. Firmware was fully up to date. I try & keep my ears in tip top shape as to not interfere with my mixing work. Interesting thing is that certain wireless earbuds have the same frequency range & doesn't sacrifice any of the highest end, making for a more fulfilling sound experience. Of course it's not a direct comparison, but it's something to note. ... More

Went back and forth between these and the Bose QuietComforts II and the 700s. I had the QuietComforts for a long time and loved them so thought I would just upgrade to the 2s but after a lot of research, I realized that both would be great choices! So why not try something new. Love the sound quality, USB-C charging, nonie control, etc. All working great! Use for video editing and traveling. The active noise canceling is cool although I need to dial in the setting some more. All in all, love them!

Great headset, i decieded to make the expensive purchase of this headset & i wasnt disapointed the noise canceling is next level! Downside to this headset is the software, when you have adaptive noise canceling on every time it changes state it changes the music volume to let you know its changed state which can become anouying when you stop walking for traffic lights and then start again it kind of takes you out of the expeireance.Show

So these headphones took me a while to build up the courage to meet the asking price, which seemed alot for headphones. However they are unbelievable, putting you into a different world. The sound cancelling is the best I've ever experienced, they are comfortable, sound is great, app is easy to use, packaging and case is excellent. I wish I'd bought them earlier, if you're considering it just buy them. You'll thank me later :)

I used to own the XM3 version but unfortunately lost them. I know there is now an XM5 but the XM4 was on sale so I decided to get these instead. The ANC is just superb. I bought these, jumped onto a long haul flight and used them the whole way. Everything gets blocked out by the NAC. I haven't even tested the extra features of this headset out yet as they are not top priority for me. But the sound quality and NAC are standouts that make this headset a high recommendation.

Had the previous WH-1000XM3 for some time and was really pleased with the performance. It is easily the best noise cancelling head set you can get. Then Sony release an updated version WH-1000XM4........ Some subtle changes to the dynamics, that are improvement's to an already great sound. Is it worth the money.......... yes. You could go for the WH-1000XM3 that have come down in price (below £200) and you would not be disappointed.

It's a beautiful experience listening to deep bass or instrumental music. Call quality is great too and they ares super comfotrable for wearing 2-3hr at a stretch. There are way too many features that I could not test. The connectivity to multiple devices is not very intuitive (TBH I have not seen the tutorial included in the app so it's partially my mistake) Overall, highly recommended.

The sound quality for music is incredible. It's feature rich. The noise cancelling is top notch. I absolutely love it, regardless of its one flaw. The mic is terrible. If you're buying this for music only I think it's the best you can get (and I researched the competition). Some of this comes down to personal preference. I listen to dance music and Sony suits that great. Don't expect to use this headset for clear calls or for us with Teams/Zoom. Buy a separate mic to go with it.

Outstanding headphones. I have the lower priced Sony WH CHOONs and they're very good...until you try these. Only complaint is the app is confusing and the buttons on the phones are as well. But sound quality is superb. And so is noise canceling. Everyone talks about the Bose having better comprehensive canceling, but the combination of sound quality and cancellation on these is, for me, the best option.

Love my new Sony ANC headphones. There are a lot out there to choose from and in the end I bought these, they are comfortable on the ears cancel’s all noise and have several great features. I can answer my telephone calls, change the volume, skip to the next song etc all by a touch of the ear piece, and the battery is long lasting. I’m in my late 60’s but I would recommend these for all ages.
