We have some of these at the radio station I work at. These were purchased for my own hobby of collecting sounds, where I needed a closed ear, light weight set of headphones that I would not mind wearing. These do the job.

Durable and reliable, the Monitor Headphone by Sony is indispensable. We use it to monitor sound recording in the field. Perhaps a little bulky and a little heavy -- it can be cumbersome when you are shooting on the fly. But the quality of the product more than makes up for these minor issues.

Bought my last pair in 2006 and they lasted me until 2011. I, myself chewed through the cord while mixing on them (mixing habbit) and instead of getting them repaired I just decided to order new ones. I now chew gum when mixing in these.

...or so I read...they are standard equipment in virtually every recording studio. Super comfortable with clean, unbiased sound. I've had three sets of (Higher priced) headphones from other makers, I like these best by far.

I've been using these for years. They're comfortable and sound as good as anything within the price range. They're easily repairable and even come with schematics and a parts list.

I've been using the same 7506 model headphones for almost 10 years now and only had to replace earpads. Other than that this is a sold built product. Would definitely recommend them to any pro sound engineer.

Sony released a couple new models to surpass the quality of the 7506, and reviews have been lukewarm. At $ these are a bargain and are far better than any $300 Beats headset. They are still the standard with most of us pro film sound recordists.

I greatly recommend this pair of headphones to anybody who would like to have one for recording and listening to music, watching movies or even playing videogames. The sound is well balanced and the overall experience is great. The comfort is also amazing.

These Sony Studio Monitor MDR-7506 Headphones sound great. They are a little tight around my fat head however they are comfortable. My sessions have been lasting between 2-4 hours and these have been a great addition to our sessions.

I have a pair of this exact model that are still working well after around 15 years. I wanted to have a new pair but will keep the old ones for a spare. Use them a lot for almost daily video editing and use on the computer and camera. Can't be beat for sound fidelity, dependability and sturdy build.

I have only had these for a couple weeks but so far they are everything I hoped for. I produce rap music for a hobby and my old headphones badly needed an upgrade. These sound great and I no longer have to worry about outside noise altering what I hear in my phones.

I primarily use these headphones for video editing and sound monitoring while I'm filming. I love that they collapse which helps me fit them into all my camera bags much more easily. Great buy for the price, highly recommended!

Used these on a shoot one weekend and bought a pair the next day. The difference between these and the phones I was using ($30 pair from a reputable company) was night and day. High quality and they fold up compactly to fit in my gear bag.

Sony MDR-7506 are a reliable reference for professional audio monitoring. I've been using them in my studio both in the control room and recording booth for years, and have added new sets to the ones that keep on delivering. I have come to count on their consistency and accuracy, and know that other professionals can count on their results as well.

I use this product when listening to the music I am recording and mixing. They're great considering I don't have a lot of money to spend as an independent artist. The higher frequencies, however, are a little high in the mix. It's something to keep in mind.

Sound quality is good and you are wear them non-stop for a long time. I have sensitive ears but this pair does not irritate my ears. The only down side is that the cable is non-detachable. Build quality is good.

I love the sound of these headphones! Nice flat response. The deep ear pads make them sound even better and feel much nicer. The case doesn't really work that well because you have the fold up the headphones to fit them into the case.

Nice coiled cord. Great sound quality, better then Tascam I had before. Original ear pads not comfortable. Replaced right away with Brainwavz sheepskin pads, huge difference.

I purchased these primarily as tracking headphones in a recording studio. These were exactly what I was looking for. Comfort, great sound, portable, and little sound leakage when recording next to microphones. You can't ask for much more for the price.
