There is no doubt why this headphones remain as the industry standard for sound mixers, recordists, boom ops, etc. After using the AKG K240 for a long time, the switch to these guys was great.

Best value for the price (also check out the MDR-V6). I find these fit better than the Shure SRH-440s, they also fold up smaller. The sound is very even, these are great for monitoring, isolation is good but not perfect.

I use these headphones every day to practice on my digital piano and also to compose new music. They have terrific sound quality, are lightweight and very comfortable.

These sound much better compared to my old headphones. As a video editor I need to know that my headphones are accurately producing sound. My old headphones are still good for casual music listening but for editing the Sony MDR-7506 will be my foots from now on.

I originally bought these back in 2003, right here on B&H. They still work great (though I replaced the earpads several years ago). I needed another pair to use for clients in the video editing workstation, and got another set. Excellent audio quality.

I'm glad I ordered these, and that they came with the deep earpads. The original earpads are rather shallow. YouTube has good videos on how to swap the earpads easily. A handout on this, sent with the kit, would have been helpful. Staff helped a lot with ordering them. They get 5 stars.

I just came out of a sound mixing studio session. The engineers had them as well. That has to say something. For the cost / sound and comfort, I've yet to come across a better pair of headphone. Only downside is the pads might come apart 2 years in. But that's 100 of hours later...

Great audio, very comfortable, I can wear them all day. This is my second set. I use them to record audio for video.

These are just fine. I was looking for over the ear pads that help reduce extraneous noise while providing natural and faithful audio monitoring. Special thanks to the B&H audio sales specialist who recommended them. Sony is dependable, and the B&H sale price was appreciated.

These are the best headphones to use when recording sound on a set. Everything is clear and I also use it for music. I wouldn't recommend them for editing though. Wish it came with a hard protective case though.

The Disc Jockies for three radio stations use these headphones day in and out. Including the On-Air studios, production studios, edit studios and remote trucks there are 20 units in use. All the operators like them. The three failures this year were related to the temper of the operator...J Hobbs CE

I owned the mdr-v600's for 13 years, upgraded to these and couldn't be happier. Incredible sound, comfort, and can take the things apart for servicing! Perfect at a studio, or for djing on the road. Can't be beat at this price.

I use this mostly for some editing, casual listening, and the occasional game. Thoroughly impressed with the sound profile and clarity, and even more so for the price. Also light and comfortable.

Working as an audio professional, 7506 is the only model I will ever buy. I was devastated when my last pair that I had for nearly ten years were stolen. I was over joyed to learn that they were still available.

Sounds great. Sturdy Construction. I'm not a super audiophile, but for video production work they are super. No nonsense product. Probably too industrial looking (but not in a cool way) for hipster styling.

After some abysmal headphone track monitoring, these are a joy! I can finally hear the nuance of buried/quiet tracks. Less leakage while tracking and the although not totally flat, the response allows me to hear everything.

I use these in an academic setting for video/sound editing for our department. I had a paid of the MDR V6 years ago and wanted a similar pair. This model sounds great. I needed something that folded up to be more compact, so I chose these over the next model up.

I have had 4 of these for years with no troubles. Bought 2 more to replace a couple of headphones of another brand. They're not completely accurate, but the additional highs seem to help the talent hear better while tracking.
