I use these for listening to my IPOD as well as with my DVX100b camcorder. I would say they provide good sound at a value that you must pay for. I was hoping for a more nuanced listening experience but I guess for the DVX100 these headphones do the job. They are comfortable! Nice LONG LONG cord. CONS: Watch out when taking them off--they are like a mousetrap for those individuals with bigger heads. They clack together sometimes when I remove them--use two hands...

This is an outstanding product for radio announcers. As many know, we put our headphones on and off frequently, and we need a sturdy pair of headphones that feature terrific sound dynamics. Simply won't use any other brand!

These are decent and comfortable headphones, but boy are they floppy. Every time I pick them up they flop around and fold into themselves like a spineless jellyfish, which means that every time I have to do a complicated untangling process just to start using them. It would be fine if I had them hanging from a hook in the studio but the troubles start if you put them in your pack or set them down!

These are not for Audiophiles, if you are looking for those set of headphones look at the AKG K 702 Headphones. These should be used for monitoring of audio inputs for video recordings. Don't get me wrong, these are good headphones overall and I used them on flights just to avoid carrying two sets of headphones when I travel around. I cannot speak highly enough especially for the price.

I bought these to replace my 20yr old Sony MDR-V900 headphones. So far I'm very impressed with their crisp highs and tight low end frequencies. The build quality isn't quite as refined the predecessors, but still pretty good. The price was very reasonable for the performance of the product. I would definitely recommend these headphones.

...very comfortable and is great for a simple pair of monitor headphones. As I am not an audiophile but rather a sound engineer I prefer the best raw sound as opposed to the highest fidelity. These phones work great for giving you a raw sound without too much bass. A more accurate sound is what I work with, and these deliver.

I've been in the video/audio business close to 30 years and have always used the mdr-7506 headphones. I've tried others, occasionally, but nothing sounds as clean as the Sony brand. Durable and rugged, but you will need to upgrade the earpads because the plastic coating doesn't last long.

These headphones have been a well worth the expense upgrade to my audio editing process, and I wish I had purchased them earlier. For the price they overdeliver for my needs. I don't think they are perfect as they clamp down quite hard on my head and the cord is noticeably heavy, but in terms of the audio quality they give, I am happy.

Great for monitoring audio when shooting video. If you're on a budget and can't afford Sennheiser; Sony headphones and mic kits are a nice alternative. Good quality, durable and compact which are all pros when in the field. I've used Sony headphones since the mid-90s and still have my first pair.

I use these for video editing and monitoring sound will filming. They work great and have always been reliable. They don't have the low-end frequencies that some headphones do, but the clarity is amazing. Solid purchase.

This is my sencond 7506 and I just bought it as a backup. I use this headphone for video editing and encoding and have been using my firtst one 5 days a week for eight years now but it is sitll in good condition. Ear pad is somewhat vulnerable and you may need to replace it every year or two but if you think of sound quality, durability and price, there is nothing better than this one.

From a price to quality perspective these headphones are terrific! They have a clear, clean, sound. I use them with the Rode USB Mini Microphone broadcasting with OBS to Zoom. Additionally, I appreciate the comfort of the earpads as I am on Zoom all day. I am very happy with the product and highly recommend them to those wanting high-quality budget-friendly monitor-type headphones.

I've been using a much more expensive set of Bose headphones for years. When they began to wear out, I didn't want to spend so much money on a replacement. Excellent. Very happy with the purchase.

These offer a really refined balance of highs and lows- perfect for audio mastering and field recording. They are also just great for music enjoyment of all kinds. I looked at headphones of 2-3 times the price and read nothing but praise for these-- I have to agree, for the money, I couldn't ask for more.

unit was fine for about 3 months then the right side quit. attempted to contact sony cust service at 8667669272 and kept getting that I had to contact the professional service dept. which is the number I was calling, after 3 weeks of trying I gave up. I am not happy with the unit or cust service. I would not buy again.

These headphones provide the best quality sound of any set I've ever owned. Also, they are comfortable to wear. I use them nonprofessionally (just to listen to music, not to mix), but I'm a pretty intense audio nerd, and they certainly meet my expectations.

You will waste a ton of dough on cheap headphones. Then, you will wise up and get the MDR-7506 headphones. They're fabulous. When I added these to my cart, BH gave me $20 off, so these cost me $79. Always check the price in the cart!
