I am an audiophile who enjoys spending evenings immersed in jazz, classical, big band, classic rock ... a wide range and wide variety from my recorded collection and subscriptions. I could not justify professional headphones, but these are PERFECT for those occasions when the rest of the household does not want to hear my music.

Great sound quality for the price. I'd say these are the best headphones you can buy for under $. Great noise cancelling dynamic and extra comfy on the ears. These headphones will make any audio job easier, great bang for the buck!

...very comfortable and is great for a simple pair of monitor headphones. As I am not an audiophile but rather a sound engineer I prefer the best raw sound as opposed to the highest fidelity. These phones work great for giving you a raw sound without too much bass. A more accurate sound is what I work with, and these deliver.

I use these for video editing and monitoring sound will filming. They work great and have always been reliable. They don't have the low-end frequencies that some headphones do, but the clarity is amazing. Solid purchase.

These are quite nice and definitely good value, but the pads that come with the set are hopeless. After an hour of wearing them I had to take them off. The extended pads are the ones that Sony should send with them. Spend a few bucks more and just get them.

unit was fine for about 3 months then the right side quit. attempted to contact sony cust service at 8667669272 and kept getting that I had to contact the professional service dept. which is the number I was calling, after 3 weeks of trying I gave up. I am not happy with the unit or cust service. I would not buy again.

These headphones provide an excellent balance of sound, and they block out quite a bit of outside noise, even though they aren't specifically noise-cancelling headphones. I am very happy with these headphones so far, especially for the price, and I'm excited to continue to experiment with how well they work in various situations, such as on an airplane.

I am very happy with my purchase of the Sony MDR - 7506 headphones. Was obvious to me as soon as I listened that they are better than previous headphones. I am hearing so much more than with my other headphones. My son and daughter said they same. I highly recommend

These headphones provide the best quality sound of any set I've ever owned. Also, they are comfortable to wear. I use them nonprofessionally (just to listen to music, not to mix), but I'm a pretty intense audio nerd, and they certainly meet my expectations.

Second pair of Sony MDR7506 headphones I've owned. I still have the original pair and they still work over a decade later. I bought this kit to replace the ear pads on my old pair and have a secondary set. Can't beat the quality and price. Built to last, great price for the value.

Over the years I have used many pairs of these (and similar) Sony headphones for editing and monitoring sound. The sound quality is true and the design is durable. For the price, I have yet to hear their equal.

This is my sencond 7506 and I just bought it as a backup. I use this headphone for video editing and encoding and have been using my firtst one 5 days a week for eight years now but it is sitll in good condition. Ear pad is somewhat vulnerable and you may need to replace it every year or two but if you think of sound quality, durability and price, there is nothing better than this one.

I have recently started my own amateur studio and this phone is amazing, in fact some pros have recommended it to me. I also use it for regular music listening, it's perfect for that as well. It doesn't block much of external sound sources, which is fine since it wasn't made for this purpose. Bottom line: I totally recommend this to anyone. Best headphones I've ever had.

Great for monitoring audio when shooting video. If you're on a budget and can't afford Sennheiser; Sony headphones and mic kits are a nice alternative. Good quality, durable and compact which are all pros when in the field. I've used Sony headphones since the mid-90s and still have my first pair.

These cans are very comfortable & sound great, especially for the price. The cord is long & coiled & gets in the way sometimes. The earpieces collapse which is good for travel but every time you put them on, you have to pull them down to uncollapse them.

These offer a really refined balance of highs and lows- perfect for audio mastering and field recording. They are also just great for music enjoyment of all kinds. I looked at headphones of 2-3 times the price and read nothing but praise for these-- I have to agree, for the money, I couldn't ask for more.

These are decent and comfortable headphones, but boy are they floppy. Every time I pick them up they flop around and fold into themselves like a spineless jellyfish, which means that every time I have to do a complicated untangling process just to start using them. It would be fine if I had them hanging from a hook in the studio but the troubles start if you put them in your pack or set them down!

I bought these to replace my 20yr old Sony MDR-V900 headphones. So far I'm very impressed with their crisp highs and tight low end frequencies. The build quality isn't quite as refined the predecessors, but still pretty good. The price was very reasonable for the performance of the product. I would definitely recommend these headphones.

I use these set of headphones at work mixing and editing audio and video, I also own a pair of Seinhesser HD and beyertronic's with the velvet cushioning; compared to them these still have great bass and good mid and high ranges. They are accurate and not much sound from outside leak in. Def a great set to have in the studio!

Excellent audio monitoring for everything from midi studio to prosumer camcorder with low impedence. these are especially good monioring devices with weak audio level. Rugged enough to take on my road trip to chicago. comfortable to wear on 3 days of wall to wall video coverage of a large client meeting.
