Bought for transcribing audio. In comparison to audio technica's ATH-M40x (which I've also used): - sound seems thinner at the mid frequencies, lots of clarity at high end (good for ts vs ds). Vs. AT's had a meatier sound - better for distinguishing between the characteristics of individual voices (not sure why this is) - feels gentler on my ears, hurts my head less but blocks sound better - more lightweight, folds up smaller: aesthetically the design of these brings me joy. :)

I have used these headphones for over a decade. This pair is hanging next to my media server for use when I'm working locally on the server. I had a cheap set that I used to just give me a hint what was in the media, but I decided to buy a quality pair of headphones and treat myself. The bundled sheepskin ear pads will go on my older set. I hung the carrying case on the wall next to the server to protect the headphones when I'm not using them.

I've been using the Sony Professional Headphones since my days working in broadcast radio decades ago. Today I do a lot of video shooting and editing in my career, and these are the headphones I take with me in the field. The quality is awesome, as is the ability to fold the ear pieces into the head band... which makes it easy to pack with my other gear.

Timeless Sony monitoring headphones bundled with a nice set of upgraded pads and a carrying case. There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said about these headphones. The deep earpads make these headphones VERY comfortable and don't change the sound signature all that much. The material is a luxurious feeling fake leather that make the headphones feel more expensive. They will probably last a lot longer too. However, they do not increase noise isolation as much as I'd hoped.

I had experience with an earlier bad batch of these industry standard headphones (which I need for radio and audio production work) - in fact bought my last pairs used rather than risk a new one. Finally thought I'd try again with a new pair - but the right pad fell off this pair within the first week! It's very difficult to try to put the pads back on. Unless this was a bizarre coincidence, the ear pads are still a serious problem.

Great pair of headphones at a very reasonable price. The sound quality is comparable or better than others I have tried in the same price range (Audio Technica, Sennheiser). I use them on-set to capture audio as well as at home when recording voice-overs, and although they are not designed for listening to music, I use them for recording guitar and bass in the studio and I feel they have a great sound regardless and are my go-to pair for anything PC-related.

The Sony MDR-7506 are workhorse headphones and the first thing to go into my gear bag for any show. They take a beating and keep on working. My first pair is over 7 years old and still in excellent shape. Sound is excellent. Bass response could be better, so if you ever need to mix music or bands using only headphones with no other reference, you may want to consider moving up to something a little larger. Other than that, these are excellent headphones for the money, they won't let you down.

I bought these to replace a similar set that was at least 5 yrs. old and had developed a missing channel. I intentionally went back to this headphone because I like the way the originals sounded, and the new ones deliver just as the old ones did..

These headphones have incredible clarity, presence, and true sound. I use them for professional video editing and field recording. Never heard a headphone with more true sound in all frequencies. They are open back, so don't expect any noise cancellation. The only issue is they due tend to heat up over time, which makes wearing them for multiple hours kind of uncomfortable. But it's worth it. It's worth the price!

I have finally found a headphone that meets my needs and exceeds my expectation. High quality sound, with excellent background noise cancellation, this headphone is sure to expand your music prowess. A must have for any music enthusiast. Music has never sounded better!

I wanted headphones for watching TV after 10:00 pm without bothering my upstairs neighbors. My Bose headphones (OE2i) are excellent but I had to sit too close to the TV due to the mobile friendly length of the cable. These headphones have a 10-foot cable, so I can sit wherever I want. And the audio quality and comfort of these over the ear headphones are wonderful. Now I can really appreciate all the acoustic details in my favorite show, Game of Thrones.

I purchased not one but two of these, one for me and the other as a Christmas gift for my daughter. They were recommended by a coworker who has had his for 3 years now. He paid twice the amount for them back then and at the current price even bought a second set. They sound incredible and are comfortable to wear for an entire day. Also, kudo's to B&H for great prices and fast shipping...even all the way to Canada! Thanks Guys!

I use it for voiceovers and, definitely improves the sound quality in voice tracks and the overall sound of the mixes. The only thing I would change is the two little exposed wires, could be stronger or hidden.

These work very well for the sound board at church where we are using them. They have good sound and come with a parts diagram if they ever need to be fixed. I did notice when I was testing them at home that they are uncomfortable for me to wear for long periods because they squash my ears slightly. I know other people who have said they find them very comfortable, though, so it depends on the person.

It is time to replace the cord on my old MDR-7506s (15 years maybe), but I don't have the time to do that right now. So, I purchased a second pair. Now one will stay with my camera audio kit and the other will stay with the editing system.

These legendary headphones are a great but for anyone in the audio industry. The only problem I have seen is the ring on the mini plug tends to disconnect, leaving you with signal only in the left phone. Easily repairable with a new mini plug. Also, the wires in the cord are notorious for breaking. Once again, due to the great user-serviceable design, just swap it out. Overall great design, beats the hell out of the competition.

I use these for monitors when I shoot and edit videos. I thought these seemed light and flimsy, which is how most headphones under $90 feel anyway. But I am going to rate these cans on how they sound. These really exceeded my expectations at this price range (They seem to sound better than Sony 7502). They indeed sound great with rich mids, bright highs, and clean bass. The most durable part I believe is the plug (no joke). headband stays tight and durable. cups are plasticky, light.

Got these mainly to monitor recordings made by my Zoom H6 and as practice headphones for my Yamaha P-515. If you can look past the somewhat lightweight construction and the cheap pouch that they try to pass off as a protective method of storage, then the sheer honesty of these headphones is undeniable. You know you want them, get them!

I use these for multiple purposes. In the video edit suite for monitoring and to really get a good feel for the overall mix. For location work, these are wonderful. Used them on a shoot in a rock quarry with on-camera talent (wireless mike & shotgun) and was amazed at the clean sound. The closed ear design worked great. Folding design is a real space saver. Only downfall is the cord which is a little to long and is prone to tangling. For a $ pair of headphones, these fit the bill just fine!

The one thing i will say that others dont is that even though its a 10 foot cord, it is coiled up (like an old school telephone cord). i was worried that I would have 10 feet of cord to manage. But its really more like 4 feet of length that can stretch to 10 feet
