I use these for multiple purposes. In the video edit suite for monitoring and to really get a good feel for the overall mix. For location work, these are wonderful. Used them on a shoot in a rock quarry with on-camera talent (wireless mike & shotgun) and was amazed at the clean sound. The closed ear design worked great. Folding design is a real space saver. Only downfall is the cord which is a little to long and is prone to tangling. For a $ pair of headphones, these fit the bill just fine!

These work very well for the sound board at church where we are using them. They have good sound and come with a parts diagram if they ever need to be fixed. I did notice when I was testing them at home that they are uncomfortable for me to wear for long periods because they squash my ears slightly. I know other people who have said they find them very comfortable, though, so it depends on the person.

I'm still using the first two pairs of these that I purchased for studio use almost ten years ago. Clean sounding and wicked durable. Needed a couple more pairs for taking on the road/field recording. What's really nice is that the new ones fit, feel and sound like the old ones, meaning no surprises or having to adjust my listening to a different set. Dependable both in build quality and sound quality.

I purchased not one but two of these, one for me and the other as a Christmas gift for my daughter. They were recommended by a coworker who has had his for 3 years now. He paid twice the amount for them back then and at the current price even bought a second set. They sound incredible and are comfortable to wear for an entire day. Also, kudo's to B&H for great prices and fast shipping...even all the way to Canada! Thanks Guys!

As a photo student taking a video production class, these headphones are exactly what I needed. Light, compact, killer sound, and easy on the wallet. The little carrying case it comes with is a plus. Helps me keep track of the long cord in my backpack and easily fits into the compartments of my camera bag. They're super comfy too, good for long wear while editing.

Being an avid guitar player, I have spent a long while trying to find the right set of headphones that can enable my ability to play and record. I have finally found a headphone that meets my needs and exceeds my expectation. High quality sound, with excellent background noise cancellation, this headphone is sure to expand your music prowess. A must have for any music enthusiast. Music has never sounded better!

These legendary headphones are a great but for anyone in the audio industry. The only problem I have seen is the ring on the mini plug tends to disconnect, leaving you with signal only in the left phone. Easily repairable with a new mini plug. Also, the wires in the cord are notorious for breaking. Once again, due to the great user-serviceable design, just swap it out. Overall great design, beats the hell out of the competition.

I use these for monitors when I shoot and edit videos. I thought these seemed light and flimsy, which is how most headphones under $90 feel anyway. But I am going to rate these cans on how they sound. These really exceeded my expectations at this price range (They seem to sound better than Sony 7502). They indeed sound great with rich mids, bright highs, and clean bass. The most durable part I believe is the plug (no joke). headband stays tight and durable. cups are plasticky, light.

Did some research on what bassist use for silent practice and the MDR-7506s were one of the models that came up more than once. I needed a headphone that would put up with the abuse of loud music and my bass guitar put through a mixer - blew up a pair of mid priced Koss phones. These appear to be holding up very well. Very comfortable to wear and a loud clean signal comes through nicely. Only thing I MIGHT change is the spiral cable.

I really enjoy audio, video and photography and always want the best. That's why I've been a faithful B+H shopper for the last 9 years and most likely sent them close to $ 15,000.00+ for some great gear. These Sony headphones are typical because they sound great and the next level of quality will cost you 3-4X as much. I've used them for about 10 hours since purchasing about a month ago and I highly recommend them and plan on getting a good use out of them for the next 15 years...Thank You.

The Sony MDR-7506 are workhorse headphones and the first thing to go into my gear bag for any show. They take a beating and keep on working. My first pair is over 7 years old and still in excellent shape. Sound is excellent. Bass response could be better, so if you ever need to mix music or bands using only headphones with no other reference, you may want to consider moving up to something a little larger. Other than that, these are excellent headphones for the money, they won't let you down.

I purchased these as a replacement for my 25 year old Sony MDR-V600 headphones. I was pleasantly surprised that the frequency range, clarity & punch are just as good as my old go-to cans. I did replace the pseudo leather pads with Beyer Dynamics velour pads right away for comfort & longevity.

Over the last 22 years we have chosen these same headphones 3 times. Each time one gets worn out from years of regular use at our church, we do the listening test against other headphones, some 3x the cost. We STILL come back to the MDR7506 every time! It's not great for external volume isolation, but it wasn't designed for that. It just simply has the most faithful reproduction - virtually no sweetening in any frequency. NO Headaches from too tight a fit! You can wear them for hours.

They sound great and are comfortable however there is virtually no isolation. I could hear every word from the tv my wife was watching. I also purchased the Auray extra deep earpads. They also had terrible isolation properties and with my ears further from the headphone speakers I needed to push the volume. Conclusion: if you are sitting by yourself with no outside sounds around you, you will love them. And, don't buy the extra deep earpads.

The Sony's are everything they're supposed to be; well-built and solid. The case is also well-built and solid, but it's a fraction of an inch lacking on the deepness aspect when used with the Sony's. To close and zip it, the cans are compressed a tiny bit. Don't think it's going to be an issue, but thought I'd mention it. Haven't had to use the replacement ear cups yet, and hope I don't actually have to for quite some time. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

I have used these headphones for many years at many job sites. They have decient bass and good overall sound. Though they are not great headphones (and not many are) these are great for DJ work, Live sound mixing, or even to use to monitor a recording. They are comfortable and fold into a nice compact unit. Be aware they do not block out as much external noise as some other headphones, but they do enough to get the job done. Overall great product for a good price.

I use it for voiceovers and, definitely improves the sound quality in voice tracks and the overall sound of the mixes. The only thing I would change is the two little exposed wires, could be stronger or hidden.

These headphones are almost too good. I use them for recording on set as well as editing when not near a full studio speaker setup. They are so clean on set I have a hard time telling they are on. Its almost like I'm not wearing them. Although I don't like editing on headset, if I must then these are the way to go. As with all closed back sets, they are cumbersome to handle, but who cares? Once they're on, they are awesome. Great deal for the price, too.

I use this for editing in an open work space and the headphones do a good job of knocking out the other sounds. They are also comfortable and I like having the single coiled wire so that it can extend but stays compact when needed. I haven't had to do any marathon sound editing edits yet but for now I would say they are quite comfortable. The sound quality seems great which I've come to expect of Sony products.
