Love these headphones. They are light and fit nicely on the head, so I can wear for them long periods of time. The sound is exactly what I need for editing podcasts. Not too much bass, and good clarity with voices. So if the podcast sounds good in these cans, then it is going to sound just fine when someone listens in their car or through earbuds. Fair price, excellent quality. And classic design. Love 'em

I needed a pair of headphones as I have embarked on digitizing my extensive collection of vinyl records, cassettes, 8 track tapes , and reel to reel tapes. I needed something at an affordable price point. These sound excellent and allow me to listen at a higher volume without disturbing others (sound leakage is very minimal) to precisely trim and edit the tracks after ripping to digital [.flac] files. They also appear to be well constructed so they should hold up to daily use on this project.

Crisp, clear sound, comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Not too heavy on the head. Long coiled cable accommodates a fair distance from a video camera without straining cable. 1/4 to 3.5 mm adapter included. Care must be taken to prevent coiled cable from becoming knotted or curled up. Once knotted, it's a pain to unknot. Leatherette case is included. Phones fold up neatly to save space in your bag. Doesn't need lots of power to drive the drivers for adequate sound level.

I have used Sony Headphones for 25years. I have carried them around the world beginning with the first Sony CD player. My originals still work fine! The MDR-7506 is essentially the same headphone as my originals. Sturdy build, folds up easily, sounds great. Sure, there are better headphones. But, for $ there are few that compare. We use the MDR-7506 in our SSL studio - headphone mix for clients. No client as ever complained. Also works well with my Itouch. Good product.

There's a reason these are still so highly regarded so many years later - these phones do not color your sound so you know exactly what you're working with. I disagree with the reviews that suggest not enough bass is present - I get plenty, just enough without being over the top. An excellent choice for studio monitoring without breaking the bank. Get these.

Being an avid guitar player, I have spent a long while trying to find the right set of headphones that can enable my ability to play and record. I have finally found a headphone that meets my needs and exceeds my expectation. High quality sound, with excellent background noise cancellation, this headphone is sure to expand your music prowess. A must have for any music enthusiast. Music has never sounded better!

I use these for multiple purposes. In the video edit suite for monitoring and to really get a good feel for the overall mix. For location work, these are wonderful. Used them on a shoot in a rock quarry with on-camera talent (wireless mike & shotgun) and was amazed at the clean sound. The closed ear design worked great. Folding design is a real space saver. Only downfall is the cord which is a little to long and is prone to tangling. For a $ pair of headphones, these fit the bill just fine!

These legendary headphones are a great but for anyone in the audio industry. The only problem I have seen is the ring on the mini plug tends to disconnect, leaving you with signal only in the left phone. Easily repairable with a new mini plug. Also, the wires in the cord are notorious for breaking. Once again, due to the great user-serviceable design, just swap it out. Overall great design, beats the hell out of the competition.

I wanted headphones for watching TV after 10:00 pm without bothering my upstairs neighbors. My Bose headphones (OE2i) are excellent but I had to sit too close to the TV due to the mobile friendly length of the cable. These headphones have a 10-foot cable, so I can sit wherever I want. And the audio quality and comfort of these over the ear headphones are wonderful. Now I can really appreciate all the acoustic details in my favorite show, Game of Thrones.

Did some research on what bassist use for silent practice and the MDR-7506s were one of the models that came up more than once. I needed a headphone that would put up with the abuse of loud music and my bass guitar put through a mixer - blew up a pair of mid priced Koss phones. These appear to be holding up very well. Very comfortable to wear and a loud clean signal comes through nicely. Only thing I MIGHT change is the spiral cable.

These headphones have incredible clarity, presence, and true sound. I use them for professional video editing and field recording. Never heard a headphone with more true sound in all frequencies. They are open back, so don't expect any noise cancellation. The only issue is they due tend to heat up over time, which makes wearing them for multiple hours kind of uncomfortable. But it's worth it. It's worth the price!

I used these headphones for years with my previous employer. After switching jobs a couple years ago, I was handed another headset that was fine, but took some getting used to. At last I was given the opportunity to select which new headphones I wanted and I went back to these with no hesitation. Welcome back old friend! :)

The Sony MDR-7506 are workhorse headphones and the first thing to go into my gear bag for any show. They take a beating and keep on working. My first pair is over 7 years old and still in excellent shape. Sound is excellent. Bass response could be better, so if you ever need to mix music or bands using only headphones with no other reference, you may want to consider moving up to something a little larger. Other than that, these are excellent headphones for the money, they won't let you down.

These work very well for the sound board at church where we are using them. They have good sound and come with a parts diagram if they ever need to be fixed. I did notice when I was testing them at home that they are uncomfortable for me to wear for long periods because they squash my ears slightly. I know other people who have said they find them very comfortable, though, so it depends on the person.

I use these for monitors when I shoot and edit videos. I thought these seemed light and flimsy, which is how most headphones under $90 feel anyway. But I am going to rate these cans on how they sound. These really exceeded my expectations at this price range (They seem to sound better than Sony 7502). They indeed sound great with rich mids, bright highs, and clean bass. The most durable part I believe is the plug (no joke). headband stays tight and durable. cups are plasticky, light.

I use it for voiceovers and, definitely improves the sound quality in voice tracks and the overall sound of the mixes. The only thing I would change is the two little exposed wires, could be stronger or hidden.

I purchased over a dozen of these over the last several years. 3 pairs for myself and the rest for several small recording studios I helped put together. Make sure to replace the pleather pads with Beyerdynamic valour alternatives.

I've been a fan of the 7506s since I first stumbled across them nearly 20 years ago. I still have one of the three original pair I bought thenand they still sound dayum good. I love these 'phones... you'll love them, too. They're light, comfortable, and if you have to use them to mix, they translate well. I use them in the studio as well as in the field.

Several sets have been purchased for use by staff for radio broadcast and podcast production purposes. They sound great, are reliable and can be worn comfortably for extended periods of time. The only downside is the original Sony earpads start to degrade and flake after about 10 -12 months. That's why the sheepskin pads are purchased as replacements for the Sony originals. The sheepskin pad wear well and very long.

The MDR-7506 headphones are nothing short of amazing. Excellent sound quality, bass is very noticeable but not overdriving, treble is great. I've used these for FOH audio monitoring, production audio for video, and even gaming - they work in every situation. The folding component compacts it perfectly for transporting, and the components holding it together are quality. For a bit under $, you can't go wrong.
