These headphones have incredible clarity, presence, and true sound. I use them for professional video editing and field recording. Never heard a headphone with more true sound in all frequencies. They are open back, so don't expect any noise cancellation. The only issue is they due tend to heat up over time, which makes wearing them for multiple hours kind of uncomfortable. But it's worth it. It's worth the price!

I purchased over a dozen of these over the last several years. 3 pairs for myself and the rest for several small recording studios I helped put together. Make sure to replace the pleather pads with Beyerdynamic valour alternatives.

The MDR-7506 headphones are nothing short of amazing. Excellent sound quality, bass is very noticeable but not overdriving, treble is great. I've used these for FOH audio monitoring, production audio for video, and even gaming - they work in every situation. The folding component compacts it perfectly for transporting, and the components holding it together are quality. For a bit under $, you can't go wrong.

I was using a good quality set of headphones prior to these but I thought that they may not have been an accurate representation of the actual sound I was recording. I purchased these headphones and heard the true sounds and picked up some other issues that I wasn't aware were present. Audiophiles may want some "boosts" of certain frequencies to make a music recording sound more full. But, I needed to know exactly what my recordings sounded like and these headphones do precisely that.

I use these for multiple purposes. In the video edit suite for monitoring and to really get a good feel for the overall mix. For location work, these are wonderful. Used them on a shoot in a rock quarry with on-camera talent (wireless mike & shotgun) and was amazed at the clean sound. The closed ear design worked great. Folding design is a real space saver. Only downfall is the cord which is a little to long and is prone to tangling. For a $ pair of headphones, these fit the bill just fine!

I have used Sony Headphones for 25years. I have carried them around the world beginning with the first Sony CD player. My originals still work fine! The MDR-7506 is essentially the same headphone as my originals. Sturdy build, folds up easily, sounds great. Sure, there are better headphones. But, for $ there are few that compare. We use the MDR-7506 in our SSL studio - headphone mix for clients. No client as ever complained. Also works well with my Itouch. Good product.

These legendary headphones are a great but for anyone in the audio industry. The only problem I have seen is the ring on the mini plug tends to disconnect, leaving you with signal only in the left phone. Easily repairable with a new mini plug. Also, the wires in the cord are notorious for breaking. Once again, due to the great user-serviceable design, just swap it out. Overall great design, beats the hell out of the competition.

I've been a fan of the 7506s since I first stumbled across them nearly 20 years ago. I still have one of the three original pair I bought thenand they still sound dayum good. I love these 'phones... you'll love them, too. They're light, comfortable, and if you have to use them to mix, they translate well. I use them in the studio as well as in the field.

Their sound is balanced (NOT bass heavy). They are comfortable being worn for hours in the studio, and theyre nearly indestructible. Theyve been standard in studios and on movie sets for decades. I love them. You can get better ones...for at least 3-5 times their cost, and those wont last nearly as long.

I wasn't really feeling like doing any sound/music projects the last few months and wasn't sure why. Turns out I didn't have a nice pair of headphones and everything felt like a chore. Slapped these babies on and spent hours working on something I wasn't motivated to for a long, long time. Makes the work fun because you can actually hear everything you need to and mix accurately. HIGHLY recommend for great quality at an affordable price.

I use these for monitors when I shoot and edit videos. I thought these seemed light and flimsy, which is how most headphones under $90 feel anyway. But I am going to rate these cans on how they sound. These really exceeded my expectations at this price range (They seem to sound better than Sony 7502). They indeed sound great with rich mids, bright highs, and clean bass. The most durable part I believe is the plug (no joke). headband stays tight and durable. cups are plasticky, light.

I wanted headphones for watching TV after 10:00 pm without bothering my upstairs neighbors. My Bose headphones (OE2i) are excellent but I had to sit too close to the TV due to the mobile friendly length of the cable. These headphones have a 10-foot cable, so I can sit wherever I want. And the audio quality and comfort of these over the ear headphones are wonderful. Now I can really appreciate all the acoustic details in my favorite show, Game of Thrones.

The MDR-7506s continue for my needs, to do many things well. Create enough isolation, have excellent clarity, very comfortable and light enough to wear for hours. Fit comfortably on anybodys head we had to use them on...which is varied...with zero complaints. Using for sound field work, studio work, Podcasting with guest use, editing....Highly recommend!

I like to listen to the original recording. So I think popular studio monitor is the best because this is how's the music was sound when produced. Other than a studio monitor the sound is altered in some way. I used to have a sony mdr-v6. 7506 is a little brighter. I like the the sound. The clamping is a little strong. Hopefully it will loosen up over the time. Overall this is one of a few low cost audiophile headphone!

I purchased not one but two of these, one for me and the other as a Christmas gift for my daughter. They were recommended by a coworker who has had his for 3 years now. He paid twice the amount for them back then and at the current price even bought a second set. They sound incredible and are comfortable to wear for an entire day. Also, kudo's to B&H for great prices and fast shipping...even all the way to Canada! Thanks Guys!

These work very well for the sound board at church where we are using them. They have good sound and come with a parts diagram if they ever need to be fixed. I did notice when I was testing them at home that they are uncomfortable for me to wear for long periods because they squash my ears slightly. I know other people who have said they find them very comfortable, though, so it depends on the person.

I got these to replace my almost 30-year-old MDR V6s, which had a loose contact somewhere, and were due for replacement. To my ear, the MDR-7506s have a clean, warm balanced sound, with a nice clear high and. They are also extremely comfortable to wear, unlike some more x-pensive 'phones I own. These are not audiophile, or studio, level headphones, but that's not what I'm looking for so these are perfect for me.
