It's easy to know when it's time to replace these lil' guys, because the slightest move by your interviewee means horrible crackling in the headphones! I hate that, and I love that Sony keeps these moderately prices in the $100 range!

Less expensive cousin to the venerable ECM-77B. If you can live without using this with phantom power, and don't mind using AA batteries, then this is a great mic for you.

I bought this to use with my zoom h6. It works well, although I do find these Mocs to be a bit long in their xlr housing. It does require batteries.

For the price I am able to pick up pretty solid sound. It does pickup a decent amount of background noise but overall I am very satisfied with this mic for use during interviews.
