I've only had it for about a month but I love the photos I'm getting from it already! Very impressed by the resolution - the 42MP is extremely helpful for major crops in post.

I have bought and sold this camera body three times going back and forth between this and Nikon since I own Nikon glass. But now that the G Master line of lenses are robust, no reason to ever switch back to Nikon. Sony all the way !

I love this camera. It takes stunning pictures and excellent videos. The only reason i did not rate it 5 out of 5 stars is because of the battery life, lack of built in intervoltometer and current star eater problem.

If you are thinking of making the leap to a full frame camera in 2020 but want to pay your rent as well, buy the a7rii. Incredible quality and photos.

The A7 R2 is already a fantastic camera for nearly half of what you would normally have paid for it originally and the quality was easily as a new product.

My first mirrorless camera and as a old Canon 5D series camera user -- I can say this body is phenomenal. The ability to use an insane number of 3rd party lenses and along with the 5-axis stabilization in the body makes this camera and brand my choice moving forward!

I haven't had the camera long enough to make a thorough comparison to the A7R ,but there are modest ergonomic improvements .....however ( so far ) no dramatic difference in the file/ IQ other than improved higher ISO performance . Shutter is a bit quieter. Despite the Sony quirks and menu oddities , both the A7R and A7Rii are capable of producing amazing images with a small package. Overall a 4.5 rating

I just did my first wedding with this as the main camera. It is an amazing machine. 4 stars because of the battery life but I added a battery pack to it and it lasted 1000 shots. If you can work with changing the batteries every 1000 shots, one cannot beat the quality for price paid.

Coming from a Sony a6000, the increased full frame sensor size, 4K video capabilities, microphone jack, it's all a total game changer. Even in 2021, with the camera two generations old, it holds up supremely well for both print and digital distribution photos and the video is top notch.

I was looking for a camera that had a huge file size and supported my favorite Leica M lenses as well as Contax C/Y and older Nikon lenses. It even supports my Super-Wide Heliar that the digital M's won't. The little feature that helps you to know if everything is parallel is wonderful. Words can't express all the positives about this camera. SONY hit a homerun. It's small light and can be hauled places other cameras can't. Now for a 100 megapixel version ... to be continued.

But a battery grip if you plan on working video on this. I haven't managed to get it to overheat using it in 80 degree weather with no wind at 4k 100mbps with the battery grip. I've run it for 90 minutes straight too.
