Great mic, using it mostly for vocals (female) and I've finally found something that compliments my voice and leaves me very little work to do in post. With and without foam wields different, and equally pleasing results too

Is it expensive? Yes but it's worth every dollar. Absolutely great microphone. It has a great sound and will meet all your needs. Remember to purchase a cloud or similar DB amplifier. If you don't you'll never get the volume you desire.

Great mic! Needs a fair amount of gain, but as long as you know that going in, it really does a wonderful job. (If you have a 2i2 or something, you might want a passive gain stage.) The arm is pretty good too! Nice and sturdy.

I like it alot, very good quality. Doesn't pick that much room noise or outside noise. Very good investment.

It should be advertised that a phantom power source such as a cloudlifter is necessary. I am using a good pre-amp but the signal to noise ratio is very bad. I am having to use a gate and SIX notch filters to cancel out the noise after eliminating all other possible sources for the noise.

I love this, I use it on every vocal take I have done recently and many other use it too. I use it with my cloud lifter and it is just wonderful. Its not that expensive so it will save you some money. People like Taylor Swift, Andrew Huang and MJ used this mic.

This mic has been used on some of the most iconic records out there, it works wonderfully in podcast situations, as well as recording live and studio. It's incredible for churches who are now adjusting to recorded worship scenarios.

Using this mic almost daily. It's been a great improvement over my previous setup. The only complaint is you'll need a pre-amp that is capable of boosting the output of this mic. The Focusrite devices here on B&H don't quite have enough gain to do so.

I had been using an SM57 microphone for voice until I could save my lunch money to get the SM7B/Cloudlifter kit. Once it arrived, I immediately installed it and noticed an improved difference in the way my voice sounds. I am definitely glad that I have this kit.

Nice rich sound, versatile settings. Remember! Use this microphone with a Cloudlifter CL-1 and adjust your inputs for phantom power, otherwise, theses microphones will not work optimally or at all. Great product with a lot of history and a look that makes your studio look real professional. :-)

I bought this for my podcast recording needs. It sounds amazing with an untreated room, absolutely no ambient noise. It's probably. more than what you need, but you won't be disappointed at all. if you get it.

I love the sound of the SM7B (with the close-talk windscreen) and the Cloudlifter - although you need the Cloudlifter if you have a low noise studio and a nice pre amp. More natural tone than you get from other similarly priced broadcast mics.

The Shure SM7B is the standard as advertised. It may be the most versatile microphone in its price range. Novice and pro will get what they need from this product - a quality mic that lasts. As with most dynamic mics, pairing the SM7B with a powerful mic preamp or inline gain booster is recommended.

What else can we say that hasn't been said? It's the legendary microphone, and you'll absolutely love it. If you're worried about the price, there are alternatives that come close for less, but if you have to have it, you're probably not reading reviews anyway!
