Very good sound isolation compared to all headphones I've previously owned. Managed to sleep through an entire transatlantic night flight while regular cabin noises (including a crying infant) were isolated with the aid of relaxing ambient music. Sound bleedthrough is not a problem with volumes at normal levels. It comes with a carrying case and additional ear tips. The wire loops around your ear, which takes some getting used to, but it doesn't bother me.Only downside I could think of, is that the bass could be little stronger.

I bought these to replace my aging Shure SE210s, and a new pair of B&W C5 S2s that I sadly lost. While the B&Ws sounded very detailed and clear, I thought they were perhaps a little too clinical. I decided to go back to Shure, and am very happy with my decision. For the price, these buds sound great and the sound isolating foam tips are very good - much better at blocking outside noise than the thin silicone tips that come with many other buds (including my lost B&Ws).

I found that, despite the fantastic sound, these headphones didn't work for me. The plastic element began to hurt my ear after several hours of use, and I found them time consuming to put in. It was difficult to tell which one was Left and which was Right without looking for the L and R every single time. The build quality was top notch, of course, because Shure is a high-quality company. I just felt that the design (at least for my ears) was a bit off. Perhaps they'll be better for you, but put them in before you buy them. I will re-iterate: The sound quality is phenomenal. ... More

I have tried two different foams sizes and two different silicone ear cushions. I still am not really happy with the sound. There is not very much bass response and the volume is reduced compared another set I have that has 5 drivers in each side. That set is a cheaper Chinese set ! The Sure does seem to have a flat response and may sound good with some EQ tweaking , and they are comfortable. The build quality and cable are rugged and I am Sure they would hold up. The 215 model is the lower priced Sure and I think they will do the job with a little tweaking. ... More

I had constant noise since new in one earphone, switch them and everything is fine. I used them for a few times never dropped, the connection to remove the earphone broke into the earphone. sound was good, but it took forever to ship to me because of backorder. Compared to JBL mini reflect 2 and Autotechnica LS50 &70, these where my 4th go to earphones those three go to 12 these go to 11. Which is better than any true wireless headphones slightly over 100. But the other headphones have been abused and are still good.

I have been using a similarly priced set of in-ear headphones for about 5 years and have been very happy with them. With some upcoming travel, I wanted to look into a setup with better passive isolation and kept coming back to the SE215 in all of my research. These sound incredible for the price, and I am really enjoying the sound isolation! Bass response is nice and tight and helps maintain a lot of clarity at lower volumes. I would definitely buy these again.

Almost a 5 star but the comfort factor brings them down a bit. I have mine connected to the Shure microphone cable so I can use them as a hands free for my iPhone. Good call quality - actually really good quality - and the music quality is terrific. In comparison to my now dead Ety HF2s, they have better bass, equivalent mids, and slightly less in the highs. But all in all, they sound great. For the price, these are very nice. Highly recommended.

Using for voice-overs, podcasts, zoom meetings. Decent quality when checking recordings. Unobtrusive in zoom meetings, as the color is clear, and the cables go behind the head. Gives some sound isolation. For newbies, they are not like regular earbuds, and take a little figuring out. I think after another 100 times I'll be able to put them in without getting confused. :-)

I bought these mainly for my commute to work which is a bus ride and metro of approximately 1.25 hrs. They dont hurt your hears and are quite comfortable. The memory wire takes a bit before they mold around your ears however, is of little consequence for what these headphones offer. The audio quality that these offer are crisp and have low to medium bass. Its what I consider an excellent headphone for those who listen to all different kinds of music Also use these for wear under my motorcycle helmet and the sound iso is great.

These headphones sound better than I thought and this is probably down to the fit and the ability to get a good seal. I have owned other low end Shure products in the past and have not been impressed. As a spoiled owner of their top of the line SE 535's I wasn't expecting much for $ but I was wrong. These have a solid build, decent bass with a good high and mid range. Not bad at all for single driver headphones. Another bonus is the cord being detachable for easy replacement if it should get damaged.

Sound quality is really good. I've owned both Etomyotic and Klipch and these are on par if not better. I've heard nuances in music from these earphones that I didn't know existed. The feature that sold me is the detachable/replaceable cable. I use my earphones to exercise and have had all of my previous headphones short out. At least if these do I can simply replace the cable. Getting used to putting these on is probably the only negative but that gets easier as you become more familiar with them.

I decide to make the switch to IEMs due to limited space during the CoVid quarantine. These are great headphones! I am usually not a fan of any time of earbud, but these have changed my mind. The noise isolation is unreal and the frequency range is awesome! I can easily do an hour long set and not even notice they are in. It feels like full professional DJ booth with full range powerful monitors. I definitely recommend these as a good starter set of IEMs!

I was skeptical that a single driver earbud would perform well as an in ear monitor, but these do very well with my Fischer wired beltpack. Obviously, multiple drivers would clean up the sound, but I'm very happy with the neutral response and the sound isolation. The foam "olives" definitely work better for me and taking the time to get the right fit makes a big difference for bass response. I didn't give them 5 stars because they are a bit awkward to fit in your ear quickly. Once they are set, they stay put, but they are not easy-in easy-out, especially with the swiveling ear pieces. ... More

I absolutely LOVE the sound of these In Ear phones! However, make certain you message your seller to see if yours comes with the regular cable or the clunky "Remote Control" cable option! I thought mine would come with a plain cable and it showed up with the "remote" cable only in the box. If you're using these on Stage (as I'm sure most people are) the "remote" portion of the cable is VERY annoying when you run the cable behind you. It is in the way on your shoulder and doesn't do anything for you. I then had to go spend an extra $35 just to get a regular cable. Frustrating. ... More

Great phones. Sound is as good as it gets for the price. Smooth, above average bass, can listen all day on these.

I am not an audiophile, a bass head or anything like that...I just like my music, and I listen to it through ear buds all day at work...I gave these a try to replace a pair of Beat urbeats that got shorted out...I returned these and bought a replacement set of urbeats. I couldn't get these comfortable in my ear, the over the ear chord bothered me without my glasses on...with them on it was a nuisance. I fiddled with the different foams and with all of them, the sound was just flat. Add in that the inline mic and audio controls are an extra expense...these just were not worth the money, so they had to go back. Thankfully B&H has an awesome return policy. I was not impressed at all, and I was pretty disappointed in that, considering the many good reviews of these earbuds. ... More

The music teams at church have shared several pairs of Shure SE215's for years. They are very reliable IEM's that deliver all the vocal & instrumental mix we need during our sets. I play bass and can assure you that the single driver, 22 Hz low end frequency response more than adequately reproduces what I need to hear on any given weekend. We use these with Allen & Heath ME-1 personal mixers and the sound quality / clarity is quite good.

Absolutely amazed, and very pleased with the SE215's - the sound seperation, sound stage and signature are exactly what others told me and more! i listen to different types of genre and am a beginner audiophile... these produce a clear profile with the right amount of BASS on the tracks that call for it - the highs are not as bright and/or harsh as others claim and yet you can discern the treble, mids and listen comfortably to the more classical and blues to jazz type. I highly recommend over any other in-ear at this price range

I use the earphones to listen to spoken word first and music second, connecting to an iPhone. I had a Sure set of earphones that I lost and this was to be a replacement. The previous set was very good but lacked a mic. This new set probably has greater fidelity than my old one in the higher trebble areas but lacks bass even for spoken word making it sound tinny. The sound is a bit harsh and not particularly welcome. Sound isolation is good. I decided to return it and looked for a different replacement; the music I listen to is classical, which doesn't require a booming bass but some modicum of base is needed. ... More

Very comfortable and good isolation. I use them for general listening as well as in ear monitors (click track plus monitor feed) with my band, both live and recording. The limited edition is a little more expensive, which kinda sucks, but it looks sick. also the cable is shorter, which is nice! 4.5 stars because its so much more ($ than normal se215s). i can't give 4.5 though so i'll got with 5. ...
