Got it just in time to integrate it into our live rig. I use a 906e on my lead rig but our rhythm guy needed a solid mic and the Sennheiser 609 is what the doctor order. Awesome audio clarity live or in the studio !
Just What We Needed

We wanted to mic our two guitar amps so we could run them through our monitors. We had been just running vocals through our monitors and we had problems hearing the guitars. A sound engineer recommended these mics. We got two and they work great!

Perfect mic reproducing clear accurate tones of the amp. Sleek design; just drape over the top of the amp, loop the cable around the strap loosely and your set. Offset the mic from the center of the speaker if you don’t want as bright a sound. Great mic for the price!

I use this mic for recording at home, and for live sessions, use it on my fender mustang amp and it's perfect! For the price this is great. I would definitely recommend it! If you are thinking about getting a $40-50 mic (for guitar recording) i'd say be patient, save and get this one

Sounds great. I've wanted one of these for awhile, and got one for a good price! Good quality, and I like hanging it off amp to desired speaker position. As a home recording enthusiast, its always nice to find decent gear at a decent price. Welcome addition to my always growing mic drawer!

Used this mic for the first time this weekend, was awesome. Nice microphone for guitar amp. The low-profile design makes it easy to place the mic right in the sweet spot of the amp. Nice clear, clean tone. Very happy with the purchase.

Currently using this mic to mic guitar cabs with in a recording setting. I use it alongside a SM57 to mic a single cab. Sure using two mics eats up two channels on the board. But this combination of mics is worth it for the sound you get.

Easy to get a great sound from my amp. A club I played mic'd me up with one and I loved the sound. If you are on the fence between a SM57 or the E609, go for the Sennheiser. Great live or in the home studio.

I like this mic. It's easy to use by hanging it right in front of your speaker, and it works good, but an SM57 still sounds better to me. Simple as that.

Super convenient on stage. Great mic, but in terms of recording, the SM57 just has a more natural/neutral eq. I use mine as a second mic alongside an SM57 when recording and love the results.

This mic was an easy purchase. Sennheiser always makes good products.. It doesn't stack up to something like a Shure SM7B, but does great getting the job done
