I've only used it once, but hung it in front of the speaker cabinet, a bit off axis from center of speaker. Our sound guy said it sounded great.

I've been using my particular microphone to record drums, and have used a band members mic like this to record guitars and bass guitar. Love both of them.

It's OKAY on guitar cabs. Might be good for live use as the profile is great, but it's not any better than a 57. Currently using mine as a bottom snare mic. Meh.

After a couple of uses, this is a mic with good sound. A bit low gain, but maybe it's geared toward hanging in front of very loud amps - using it as an upright piano mic.

Sounds great. I use it for bass drum mic and guitar cab mic. I did have some EQ issues at first, but was to be expected. I'm happy with my purchase.

Great mic...tailor made for guitar cabs. I love the response, and more importantly , my sound techs love it! Beats the usual suspects by a mile in a live setting, IMHO.

Everything it's advertised to be. A high quality mic at a very reasonable price. I'm miking amps with it and I'm happy with the sound quality we're getting.

Awesome guitar mic. Always works just as it should and always has the great Sennheiser quality sound. Flat faced construction makes mic placement a snap. Love it.

This is the second one I've bought. I have a cabinet, and I have a Boss K50. I record those in stereo, with these. They are easy to dial in, and they sound great!

I like this mic. It's easy to use by hanging it right in front of your speaker, and it works good, but an SM57 still sounds better to me. Simple as that.

Super convenient on stage. Great mic, but in terms of recording, the SM57 just has a more natural/neutral eq. I use mine as a second mic alongside an SM57 when recording and love the results.
