I use the Go Mic to record my end of a small podcast I do with a friend. The recording quality is great compared to the size and cost of the microphone. The design of the stand is a not as good as the mic quality. The microphone is too heavy for the hinge. I feel scared attaching the mic to my macbook pro as it has a lot of pressure (I suppose this can be either good or bad) on the clip. Luckily, it has a screw mount for a stand that I will utilize on my next use.

I use the Go Mic for online music lessons and it works very well. The -10 pad reduces sound clipping even at the loudest volumes and overall is very easy to use. I do not recommend it for web conferencing unless you have 2 USB ports available, one for the Go Mic as input and another speaker for output.

Got this working today so I can insert words into MS Word documents using just my voice. Worked first time after some review on how to do it as I am not too computer literate. There are a lot of Utube videos on how to do this, much more and clearer than Microsoft help stuff.

I use this as a desktop mic for narrating screencasts. It also works well with Windows 7 speech recognition for dictation and PC control. The Go Mic records clear, strong audio signal. It has some capability to serve as a playback speaker, which is a feature I don't use. When first plugged in, the driver set the Go Mic as my default playback speaker, which silenced my normal PC speakers. It was confusing at first, but easy to correct in Windows through the Sound control panel.

I have been recording for a few years as a hobbyist and I am really impressed by the capabilities of this microphone. I find it great for carrying around due to its tiny size. It's also great for recording my violin sounds and works almost as good a pickup. One downside is the soft popping sounds heard when put in omni directional pickup mode. But otherwise it seems to be a great product!

I use it to record bird sounds for my Ipod touch. It even has a visual light to let you know when the sound is clipping. For the money the sound quality is good.

The form factor is very convenient, and I was able to get it into a good position by clipping it to a mini tripod (though it took a little work). Looks nice. Sound quality is pretty good. Downside is that it hisses quite a bit, and sound input on the computer has to be set to maximum, though it has its own USB converter. Might have less of a hiss if it had a little more amplification.

Especially for the price, this is a great little USB mic! We've used it for backup audio recording a large conference room of people, for podcast recording, and for Skype - type communications and it really shines. Easy to take with you and mounts conveniently on the top of a laptop screen. A great little performer!

Couldn't decide between samson meteor and go. I had experiences with meteor but didn't want to spend that amount of money. Go Mic satisfied me with its quality, it's really compact and instrument recordings are better than expected(read horrible reviews about guitar records). If your aim is podcast then don't even think. For music purpose, it's reasonable.

I am using the microphone at work with Dragon voice recognition software. the mic is clipped to the monitor. With the directional microphone, it ignores the ambient noise and just picks up the person directly in front of the mic.

I plugged the microphone into my MacBookPro's USB port and started recording a podcast right away. The built-in clip enabled me to position the mic on the lid of my MacBook. There is a settings button on the side but I haven't used it yet.

I was looking for an inexpensive mic to use for making podcasts. For less then $50, this little beauty really delivers. I use an iMac that is a few years old, and the mic inside of that just didn't cut it (especially when the cooling fan would rev up and create a good deal of background noise). This Samson mic has been perfect for creating high-quality voice podcasts that I create for my students.

I teach piano lessons and choir and have been using the Samson GoMic for the past few weeks. My students have expressed high praise for the sound quality of their online lessons ever since I began using this microphone. It is small and very easy to use.

This a great USB mic for plugging into a computer. It has different pickup pattern settings. I use it for short recordings instead of a much larger studio mic.

I use this mainly for conference calls and packaged slide narration. It works very well. My only minor disappointment was that the installation process caused it to be set as my default speakers (!) so my computer sound was off until I diagnosed the problem and reset my speaker assignments.

Got this on the recommendation of a live sound guy, and it's great. Sounds sooooo much better than the built in mic on my laptop. I'm using it for Zoom calls for work, and also for recording live music to my Mac.

My computers sound driver stopped working and I needed an external Mic w driver for my zoom classes. This was the perfect product. Feels well built, transmits clear sound, and even has a meat clip to put on my laptop. I by totally back in business with this Mic. Would recommend.

I had this mic before back when I was in high school prolly around 17 or 18 years old making music writing and recording my own songs. I bought tons and tons of mics through out the years of highschool. For it's price and the software it comes with, I'll say it can have you sounding pretty decent. Especially if you have your mixing skills down. I found that using this mic it worked better with the Mixcraft 6 software for about around $$. I would buy a pop filter for this mic though. It sounds more clean with one. I found a way to use it, that worked for me years ago. And now I'm 21 in college working a 40 hr week job an I bought this mic agian today because, it's little things can bring you a long way. would give this mic 5 stars hands down. :) ... More

I have been using this daily for about a month now. My boss works in a different city and has no idea that I am doing all of my conference calls from home on skype. Very high quality fit and finish and call quality is same as a real phone.

I use it for Skype and screencasts. Things that are great about it: Compact and good quality. Things that aren't so great about it: Sometimes the usb cable and the headphones plugged can pull the mic to the side, moving it from its position. Other than that it's a great product for its price.
