I love this mic. It is plug and play. I had one I loved and had to lend it out during the pandemic. It was nice to find another at only about $10 more than I paid for the first one a while back. It's a solid performer whether sitting on your desk (any adjustable angle), or mounted on your monitor (also adjustable) for a Zoom OR used as a better mic in for your computer when used with any app. As a professional editor, I would not use it for voiceover work, but you'll have the best scratch tracks in town. Headphone output for confidence monitoring is remarkable in this price point. ... More

Easy to install. Cakewalk LE software that came with it did not immediately recognize the Go-Mic but after a half hour of trying my own solutions, I went to the Cakewalk website and found the answer. Now everything is working perfectly. Audio levels from the mic are pretty high just from my voice at about 18 distance, even with WindowsXP recording level set low, so caution if you're planning to record a rock band.

Samson has truly impressed me with their Go Mic. This little microphone has a surprisingly rich sound to it, and captures an impressive dynamic range; you can capture some high-quality, professional sounds with this microphone. I use mine primarily as a to-go mic for my laptop for TV Specials, capturing voiceovers with it. The quality is undoubtely broadcastable. If there's a minus that could be the fact that my Macbook Pro didn't recognize the mic right away and I had to re-install the plug-in. Size is one of it's best features, I can fit the mic in my pocket with it's connection cable comfortably. ... More

I was looking for a reasonably priced condenser microphone for videoconferencing and voiceovers, and found the GoMic not only priced, but added features not found in others in this price range. The Cardiod/-10db/omnidirection switch is very useful. It also has a built-in USB audio output if you want to plug headphones into it instead of the computer. It folds into itself so it can be safely transported in a pocket, and the clip is great for attaching to a laptop yet heavy enough to stand on its own.

This microphone has been very useful and easy to use. You simply plug it in the usb port and the computer will automatically recognize it. It's worth the $. I use it for Skype and also recording music. Great sound quality. I recommend this for anybody looking to start off with a simple microphone. Remember. Simple is always best. Go ahead and get yourself one. This product will never disappoint. Trust me:)

Samson Go Mic review I previously used a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone for my Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition software and it worked very good. But the Samson Go Mic has superseded my expectations of it being a little better than the Logitech. Excellent microphone for the price. Go Mic is positioned approximately 14 inches in front of my mouth and 1 inch lower. I would definitely recommend this microphone to a friend.

I use this with a netbook to record my guitar practice and think this is suitable for recording demos or publishing music on the net. It is very easy to use, provides decent sound and records at a good volume. It is very compact. The headphone out is noisy, but you won't hear the noise in your recording. The software, Cakewalk LE, is useless and crashed for me repeatedly on Vista and Windows 7 (even running in XP compatibility mode). I am very pleased with this product. Now I have a very portable studio I can take almost anywhere.

This mic is amazing for its low price. This mic definitely has much better sound quality than my built-in mic on my Macbook Pro. No installation is needed either, just plug it in, change your audio input settings, and you are good to go. I use it for recording vocals and for webcamming (since my friends complain that they can't really hear me too well when I use the built-in mic). Purchase a pop-up filter or a windscreen if you are using it for vocals cause this mic does pick up the popping sound you make when you say P. Overall, this mic was a great purchase at a great price. ... More

I use this mic as an alternative to the mic on my webcam to record church services. I cannot believe the sound. It truly sounds as good as it looks. Easy to hook up, easy to run and great sound. I thought I was going to have to spend a little money for like a blue yeti or something to get good quality audio but I found this samson go mic and it is as good as yeti or better and a quarter of the price. Only problem is coming up with the little filter that goes in front of the mic. If you are looking for a good sounding mic this is it. ... More

I use this for music recording, Skype and podcast. All 3 area are awesome! Skype is much better sound since it is directional mic it eliminates a lot of background noise. The voice just sound so much better on the other end. Podcast, again so clear that blow my mind away. Music you can find some recording on YouTube, hearing is believing. This is my first digital mic and what a joy to bring awesome voice recording

I use the Go Mic to record my end of a small podcast I do with a friend. The recording quality is great compared to the size and cost of the microphone. The design of the stand is a not as good as the mic quality. The microphone is too heavy for the hinge. I feel scared attaching the mic to my macbook pro as it has a lot of pressure (I suppose this can be either good or bad) on the clip. Luckily, it has a screw mount for a stand that I will utilize on my next use.

We ordered this because our friends said they could barely hear us during Zoom Meetings. It seems to be satisfactory, documentation is a little sketchy, but we made it work . I like the folding stand and clamp, we use it set up on the table in front of the laptop, out of view and picks up our voices just fine according to others in our meetings. B&H service was very good.

Pros: It was nice to have a compact design with a directional switch and a headphone plug. Sound quality was a good step up from laptop mic or equivalent source. Cons: Ear hurting static kept occurring for me and for the person at the other end. Moving the connections sometimes helped. Sometimes it made it worse. And while it will stand on its own like the picture shows, it tips over as soon as you attach the USB cord. Additionally, there's a great deal of noise picked up from adjusting a cord position. I'd suggest a lavalier mic or a headset. ... More

Great to get vocal ideas recorded quickly when working on songs, because it's right there and ready to go it gets a lot of use. The quality for the price is amazing. The mic will clip on to a laptop screen but doesn't open wide enough for an lcd monitor. It will stand on it's on however.

I will admit I am not the best typer. But with this Go Mic, and almost every dictation program out there, drafting and writing is now so simple. It only took me 5 seconds to write this review. So if you have to do audio recordings, or draft literature this product will make your day so much easier. A very vital tool for me

Wonderful, natural sound of crystal clearness. I use it for my home voice and music recordings, and also for Skype. The results in all the cases are great. Small size, a nice case, ease of installation and - which is more - ITS SOUND - are the reasons I've bought THREE of them for my friends)

Nothing fancy here, it does the job for which it is intended - a way to capture decent-sounding audio on a computer. I notice significantly better quality from this than from my headset mic, for example. The design is very thoughtful - different mounting/use options and it generally seems well built. The only minor niggle I have is that the cable doesn't fit in the case with the microphone - that's a missed opportunity there in my opinion. Other than that, so far so good.

Using specifically for iPad 2 audio recording. Has worked well with every app so far...iMovie, Garageband, ShowMe!, Recorder, etc. No sound output if mic is plugged in but may be my error...to be investigated.

An incredibly small and well built microphone that has a lot of the same characteristics of its bigger brothers. I highly recommend this for laptop use, for people who have different workstations and need to bring along their tech. Also for people who travel a lot and might need a microphone in a hotel room or on-the-go. This is a high-quality device and it comes highly recommended.

Very compact and seems pretty well built. 3 different settings makes it pretty versatile and user friendly. with headphones plugged in it is easy to experiment with the proximity and angle of the mic from the sound source. I'm using it for basic guitar w/vocals and am planning to use it for onsite recordings of my 3 piece band, both unplugged and through our system.
