Rather getting cheap Chinese shotgun microphone. it is better to spend more and get the Rode Microphone. Good Audio Quality with the Wind Dead cat it is perfect to start with

If you're still shooting with a DSLR or Mirrorless, this is a must have. The audio from this mic is way better than the built in mics for scratch audio. Also, depending what your shooting and how far you are from the sound, the audio can actually be usable.

I got this mic for my canon t6i. The audio quality was ok, but very noisy in the background. I contacted RDE, and they told me to change my settings to manual audio, So I did. After playing around with the gain, the background hiss remained. I contacted RDE three more times and told them my situation, but they still gave me the same answer. The mic is still better than most on-board microphones.

This guy is awesome, don't judge by the size. This Mic is very lightweight, great looking, very inconspicuous, get the job done, the sound you get from this little guy is incredible. I use it with a Sony RX10-M2 and is a killer combo.

Bought this for our Fuji XT3 and A7sii to have a little better audio without adding a ton of bulk. After reading some reviews and hearing test across the various Rode DSLR mics, we decided on this one for it's compact size and the price point. Works and sounds great.

I bought this to use with Filmic Pro on my phone, the difference between this and built in mics is night and day, very happy. Size is great, built quality feels great. Had to buy the Rode SC7 to connect but other than that no issues.
Really nice for smaller cameras.

I also have the Rode Video Mic Pro. There is a little less low end in comparison but the overall sound quality is very similar. Love the phantom power and not having to worry about switching it off and on. Great mic and awesome B&H service as usual b

I use this for my YouTube channel and daily blogs and it works very well and is very versatile as well as easy for travel due to its size. I wish the sound quality was a little better or that it had a larger range of hearing but all around great product especially for the price

Great addition to the FDR-X3000 Action camera, screwed on underneath if you want to vlog with the camera. Unfortunately, this un-powered mics don't work with the C100. So check to make sure this works with your camera. Otherwise, great quality nicely made.

great pickup. the best feature is no need to worry about a battery. wish the bottom part rotated for the hot shoe as in the 5dMK4 it only fits facing sideways so i had to buy an adapter just to have it face forward.

For such a small video mic, it does pack a punch. I resentlly picked on up and had it mounted to my Osmo to help with the audio onboard the mic. Let's just say it did it job and more. If you are looking into picking one, this should do the job.

It does what it's supposed to for its price. I use it mainly to make sure my camera will pick up decent audio in case of technical difficulties with other sources of audio. It's small, compact, and well built.

The ability to add the dead cat wind diffusion is this mic's best quality. Get one or two with a Rode SC7 and apple lighting adapter instead of the included cable. That's how it will work on your iPhone.

The video reviews and hype are 100% accurate. This hooked right up to the hotshoe on my Fuji XT2 and the difference in audio quality is amazing!! I cannot believe the price on this. Solid metal construction and includes dead cat in the box.
