After used Rode VideoMic NTG for about 2 weeks, I see the consistent high quality of the sound when I did some videos. I used 150 noice filter, that worked extremely well to make the background noise dispersed. I use it as external mic for My Panasonic camera. Combined these two devices, professional videos were making.

Brilliant little mic. Genius in it's design from the standpoint of implementation of modern digital control & firmware. It's light, extremely versatile and sounds beyond it's price point. Rode has made a real winner. I predict it will dominate the market.

We bought this specifically for use in a recording environment where it needed to be plugged directly into a Macbook Pro for recording. The fact that it can do that as well as sit on top of my camera or a boom pole is great. Very versatile...and the sound quality you'd expect from Rode.

I am new to audio so had to spend some time experimenting and understanding the various features but once I got the hang of it this proved to be a very powerful and effective mic that is super portable. I have used it for commercial jobs and have always had great results and happy clients

Really an amazing microphone, works very well and sounds great!! Really looking forward to use it with a dead cat ( when rode wool make it available) for outside shooting, sound really bad (not usable when windy)without a dead cat outside... Happy about the versatility of that microphone.

Tested it with Nikon Z6 and SD Mixpre 3 ii. Good sound ! Lightweight, good audio, switches on/off with connected devices. Believe it will work just fine with Rode WL Go - go for it ! (Get lots of inspiration from Matt Nikon Irwin down-under. I don't think he minds that I took a snapshot from one of his youtube reviews ?)

I was hoping to use this mic with my iPad Pro (2020) with Cisco Webex video conference meetings but unable to get it working. Have tried various cables and adapters. Not sure if this is something wrong with the Webex software or with how the mic interfaces with the iPad Pro USB-C port.

From the moment you unwrap the packaging and feel the microphone in your hand, just like an Apple product, you realize that you have something special from Rode. Quality extends to the mount, the connections and, finally the controls and results which are superb. I especially like the ability to use the mic direct to the usb of my laptop for voiceovers. Thank you once again Rode.

I haven't previously purchased any rode microphones, but I have been really impressed with this microphone. It does all of the features that are in the product description really well. The charging works, the gain dial is a nice touch, and everything just works. On top of all of that, it sounds really good as well. If you need a mic to plug into your camera, get this one

I love this mic!!! I thought I would need to purchase another dongle and adapter to connect it to my laptop and my iPhone but it's not needed at all! This mic can automatically detect what it's being connected to and it works so effortlessly! The sound quality is top notch too! I love how you can adjust the db levels as well. Plus it's not too big! Looks fine with my Sony ZV-1 and GoPro Hero 9!

I really like this mic. It has a lot of nice features that make it adjustable so you can tweak the settings to maximize the sound quality regardless of what camera you have it plugged into. Another great feature is it doubles as a USB mic, so if you're looking to minimize the gear you take on the road, this serves double-duty! Plus, it's Rode, so you know it sounds great!

Admittedly wasn't looking for anything super isolating, just needed something that could pick up on my subject from afar well enough to make out their every word. 'and there is where this totally works for me. As mentioned, I've yet to spend enough time with it. So will need to explore why it picks up on my own voice so well, not that it's necessarily a bad thing. Will update this, if allowed, at a later date.

wireless shotgun that you can put easily on a boom pole without xlr cables. Sound is tremendous and rivals my Sennheiser shotgun. But it's much smaller, and sound is really crisp for interviews. Cancels out well noise around it. Btw. the transmitter pack has a built in mic, so you can clip it onto someones jacket, keep it out of the frame and it functions as a wireless lav mic.

I love this microphone. I paired it with my Fuji X-H1 and X-T3. I get great sound. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the microphone has an internal battery you recharge and has no battery level indicator.

So far I've used this shotgun mic just for Zoom calls at home. I need to procure another unit for a work project with a large A/V recording assembly, and this should be great for focusing on a smaller area of speakers while reducing side discussions, HVAC, and other equipment noise.

Talk about a feature packed on-camera mic. Two different low pass filters, safety channel recording, auto on/off feature, gain control, and NTG technology? All for $250? I plan on pairing it with the DMW-XLR1 for my S1H and excited to hear the results.

The USB-C audio is fantastic and the auto-on and auto-off feature is seamless. The auto-switch feature for camera vs. phone is great, but unfortunately you need to buy a $25 usb-c to lightning adapter for the iphone. Otherwise a great mic for a great price.

Pleased with the purchase! You can plug and go right out of the packaging, and any questions I had were clearly covered by the Rode product videos. In terms of performance, I boomed it about 1.5' above my head and the audio was crisp with very little ambient crackle.

Love this little mic! Fits perfectly on top of my a7sII and gets MUCH better audio than the in-camera mic. The dual channel for clipping protection feature is great, as well as the high pass filters and high end boost for use with the windshield. I even use this boomed with great results.
