B&H had a great price on the Rodelink Filmmaker Kit but it just sat on a shelf for a few days because there wasnt time to thoroughly read the manuals and test it. WRONG! This wireless mic is stupid simple to set up and use. It has a very strong signal thats very clean even in a venue where other wireless mics have suffered from interference. Some dont like the size but thats insignificant to me and an easy compromise considering the quality and affordability.

Great quality audio connection, easy to setup, and a great mic that comes with it. However, the size is far too big, and if you aren't very careful the body pack will fall off your talent. It's happened to us several times with different people. So, gaff tape the clip on your talent or something.... Hopefully they will redesign, and make it smaller and engineer the clip differently in the future. That said, still a solid purchase.

Used it a few times now...and sounds good. Easy to plug in and play, so to speak and has all the cords necessary to plug in. I bought the mini-plug to XLR converter to minimize hanging wires. You could pay $7-$800.00 for a Sennheiser or $400 for a Rode. For my budget, Rode was the ticket and I'm happy with the purchase.

Just used this for the first time for an engagement shot. Lavalier mic was placed under the client's shirt and their voices could be clearly heard and no rubbing sound with the primary cover on the mic. Some of my team could hear a slight hum that is easily fixed in post with Final Cut Pro when we reviewed the video and hence the drop of one star. I will probably purchase a replacement lav mic. I have not had the grounding issues with the cable that attaches the receiver to the camcorder that some have reported.

I'm giving it a 2 star for two reasons. One, we have not encountered connection issues and two, because it doesn't sound bad. The bad news is we've had the clips break on us and BOTH lav mic cords frayed and no longer make a connection. They feel cheap as well but we expected this given their price point. If I had to do it again, I'd pony up the coin for more professional tools.

Generally I am quite pleased. The microphone is simple to set up and use, the sound clear. However there is no way to know if the sound is getting to the camera without looking at the camera controls. Since I work by myself, an indicator on the front of the unit that could be seen would be great. This is particularly important since the cable supplied with the unit was defective and I wasted a fair amount of video time not recording when everything was set up properly. To replace the on short cable I either need to return the entire unit for replacement or purchase the cable separate adding to the cost. ... More

This is my second review of the product. Rode is really peddling trash wth this release. After explaining my issue many times to many people they finally sent an rma, (the unit is 40 days old and 8 shoots deep at this point). I just received the unit with only a patch cable replaced. The department clearly didn't test the Rx unit. These shouldn't be sold until the faulty connections are sorted out. Also, just terrible service from bh and rode, it's like they're playing hot potato with this garbage product.

The best feature of this wireless system is its sound. Completely free of noise and the included microphone sounds great. Pairs easily automatically (turn on transmitter first, then receiver), good range, but not as great as UHF based systems. As of this review, have had no problems with interference.

Really impressive ease-of-use. Really impressive quality on recorded content. Added batteries, turned it on and I was ready to roll. At this point have used it for one commercial shoot (interview) and one wedding. Will update this review based on repeat use over time but a few observations right away: - no carrying case or bag to house the units, assumed RODE would consider this for their $300+ price point items. - I shoot with the C100 Mk II and when I rig the receiver on the shoe mount that sits at the front of the top handle, the mic cable has to stretch quite far to reach the mic input. ... I've been using this product for professional tutorial videos for medical students. I purchased 2 Rodelink Wireless mic packs and they have worked very well for our first few videos. We have many more to make and if my opinion changes, I'll update this review. So far, I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is a great system especially considering the price (I got it on deal day). The transmitter is pretty large compared to other systems and this sometimes causes issues to hide it. Also Rode now ships this with a regular lav with NO micron connector, just a plastic one. Definitely won't last as long.

Using The Rodelink Filmmaker kit with a T3i. I just did my first shoot with it having it on all day (Ruffly 8 Hours. Ran great, indicator was a nice to quickly check that I was still receiving before recording. Coming from a cheap Lapel mic I could definetly tell a difference in Audio Quality. This is in part due to the Invisilav which I highly recommend with this product. You never know when a subject will have a T0Shirt on, Also nice for all day shoots if you want a secure/Reliable placement.

Just after warranty transmitter mic plug in is broken. Even without any force or dropping it. Also signal cuts off in high wifi areas. Don't use it with important live recordings. Mic came with it is amazing but broke after 2 months. Replacement lasted a year, I own other rode mics (wired) and they lasted long time. Any thing rode makes plastic brakes fast. Even the mic holders ! Their customer service is the best though

Use the RodeLink wireless Filmmaker Kit for non-profit promos/pieces mostly so far. Have really enjoyed it. Sounds wonderful and works very well with my GH4. Very happy with the product.

Set worked well for about 9 months. The mic wire went bad, and they glued the mic into the wire making it near impossible to replace with the replacement wire. Very frustrating. The wireless transmitter and receiver work very well.

Really works extremely well! It's very well built, doesn't feel cheap. The sound quality is excellent. Setup is easy. The only negatives I have are that the user guide could be better, and it is pricey, but it does deliver!!!!! I made an email inquiry to Rode tech support and rec'd a quick reply back which was excellent. I love it!

After waiting a couple of months for it to get back in stock, I finally received my RodeLink wireless kit. Got to put it to use the very day it came, and I was incredibly impressed. I haven't done any extensive testing, but it real-world, outdoor in the city experience, it works flawlessly and produces a really good sound with no interference. It holds its own with more expensive wireless systems, and it definitely worth the price. I would definitely recommend.

I've used Rode SmarLav & SmartLav+ for the last two years, and was looking forward to this upgrade as soon as it was announced. It has delivered on its promises. Easy to set up and start recording, and a noticeable bump in sound from my previous SmartLav mics. Loving it. Only thing I would change is the size of the 2 units, but it's only a small issue for the type of shooting I do.

I ordered 2 of these in June, and really like these except for one issue, on both of the units. The Captive TRS Cables both went bad within 2 weeks of one another, just with about 2 months of light use. Hopefully Rode or B&H will replace these.

Used for: Weddings, public ceremonies, DJ anouncements Purchased for beach weddings. Did a fantastic job with minimizing the ocean waves and seagulls. Preacher wore it and it picked up the voice for the preacher, bride, & groom perfectly. Love the LCD display on the sender/receiver, the green lights for connection (red light for no connection), syncs within seconds and keeps wireless connection.
