Connected alongside my Scarlett interface and everything is working quite well! Gain is set near 100% so I might pick up some sort of preamp Fethead or Cloudlifter later on but there is little to no noise even at that high. Also the mic is heavier than most others so my cheap mic stand needs to be replaced (even though it still holds it up with ease)

This mic is great for the price range. We own 3 of them for our podcast. RODE makes quality products. The mic is very durable and built well. Great sound and you can't be the price. We thought we would get this mic as a started and move to a better mic after a while but I can see us using this mic permanently.

I purchased this mic in the beginning of January. I currently stream online from my living room so I was looking for a good dynamic mic that would isolate just my voice. This mic sounds great out the box and only took a very limited amount of EQ to make it sound just as good as something like the Shure SM7B. $100 vs $400. No brainer, buy this mic!

So check it. The Shure SM7B is awesome...no denying that. However, at $400, the Rode Podmic for $100 is also awesome and you can get four for the price of one Shure SM7B. Don't sleep on this mic, Rode did a fabulous job with the build and sound quality. Great mic for podcating. Thanks Rode and thanks B&H Photo for the fast one day delivery.

i dont know if i get a damage mic but the sound is horrible, i sound like a old cassette player with this slow and distorted voice, awful. I change audio interface from m-audio to scarlett but the issue persist, i try with different platforms like audacity, obs and zoom and my voice still the same old cassette with slow voice like running out of batteries.

We ordered a couple of these to add some mics to a podcast rig. These mics are low output, have an exaggerated proximity effect, and no top end. If you're hoping for an SM-7b on a budget, this is not the mic. It was near impossible to get in the ballpark of radio-quality. It might make a decent bass amp mic, but I haven't tried it. If this is the budget, just get an SM-58.

This is by far the best sounding mic under $120 as long as you have a good mixer. If you increase the bass by 200mhz then it becomes almost indistinguishable from the Shure SM7B which is a $400 Mic (and the mic most big streamers and studios use). I could not recommend this enough.

When I saw that Rode released the PodMic as a new product in 2018 I knew I wanted one. I was correct, it is exactly as they described in their specs. I am a voiceover guy and have always used dynamic mics. The Rode PodMic is 1/3 the price of the big boy radio mics and gives me the same results. I waited a year and half to find one and B&H came through. Thanks to all.

Now I sound like a radio announcer! Arm swings out of the way when not doing production, and lets me keep it set up and ready to record when needed. The pop filter isn't really necessary, but an ok freebie. For voiceover recording into Adobe Audition, or use with Zoom/WebEx meetings, this is a capable device. The arm is a bit stiff, which is good, so it won't inadvertently slop out of position.

Was looking for a perfect match for my Rodecaster, and the PodMic is a solid performer, especially for the price. Compact size, solidly built, with great sound. Good upgrade from a condenser mic if you are looking to upgrade without breaking the bank. Just be sure you have a good audio processor if you want to hook it up to your computer.

OMG, I own Four Rode Procaster mics. One ROde NTG4+ One NT-USB One NT-USB Mini One VIdeo Mic Pro One Rode Reporter. Except for a slightly higher tendency to 'pop' the Rode sounds as pleasant as the Electro-voice for speaking at the 2 to 1ft range in my podcasts, etc... B&H did include a free filter, which does get rid of the few remaining pops, but spoils the appearance. The Rode is a top-notch announcer's microphone that I can only compare to the RE20. And that is high praise indeed!

This mic from taking it out of the packaging has the weight of quality. It's sturdy and sound. The quality it produces is true and clear. Definitely an upgrade from my Audio Technicas and I was waiting for this pre-order for months. The bad thing is I should have bought 4. Now I'm back in line for more. Definitely worth every penny for this amazing price

I was using a Sure sm57 ($99) with the sure filter ($40) and a Cloudlifter ($150). This $99 mic is as good and even better with the RodeCaster Pro as it has a preset for this mic. Before I had trouble with the RodeCaster Pro's gate so I turned it off. Because Rode matched the PodMic so well, the gate works great now. I bought 2 PodMics and will be buting 2 more as soon as they are back in stock.

I've tried less expensive microphones and I just wasn't happy with the quality. I considered a more expensive model but after watching many reviews I decided to go with the podmic as an alternative option. I'm very happy with my choice and that I didn't spent money on a much more expensive microphone.

It was this or a used sm7b. I bought this and have had little to no regrets. I might buy the sm7b in the future but I don't foresee it being much better than what I get out of this mic. If I wanted to do more EQ adjustments I know there are ways to improve this mic beyond how I use it now but I'm already satisfied with it as is. Always recommend.

Solidly built dynamic mic built for podcasting. Like most dynamic mics, you need to be up on it to get the best sound. Good background rejection. I use it with a Cloudlifter, and this combination works quite well.

There has been nothing ever that I would even consider swapping out my Shure SM7...until now. This mic is fantastic! Audio is superb. Build quality is fantastic and the footprint makes it possble to carry on the road without feeling like you are packing bricks. Thanks Rode.

I'm in love with it tbh. The build quality is amazing. It's sturdy, full metal body, and the heavy weight adds a quality feel to it. I combined it with my mixer and the sound is so much better than my previous mics (blue yeti and steel series headset mic). I'd highly recommend this mic to anyone who cares about spoken word work such as podcasts or live streaming.
