I had to add two microphones to my podcasting setup, and this kit worked perfectly right out of the box. It came with everything I needed (of course this kit doesn't come with headphones, so keep that in mind if you do need those extra cans)! I used this with the Rode Podcaster Pro and didn't need any further equipment, just plug them in, setup for your subjects and you're good to go. The pop filters were a little finicky to get onto the mic, but weren't a problem. My clients were very happy with the end product.

Rode makes great gear! I was looking for a dynamic mic that had a solid build quality, was inexpensive, and that would be good for recording voiceovers for training materials. I'm pleased with the way this mic sounds for USD 99. The internal pop filter helps minimize plosives and sounds great even without EQ. The mic is a bit on the heavy end; lower-quality mic booms may not support the weight of the mic. The PodMic has been a good addition to my inventory and I would recommend it to anyone looking to record voiceovers or podcasts.

I was really hesitant to buy a $100 microphone podcast recording. In my home studio I use Heil PR-40s that cost a lot more. After watching some Youtube reviews I took a flyer on them and I am not disappointed. Yes, I can tell a little difference between the podmec and the heil, but not enough to matter at all for a podcast. These are mics for my second studio, but I'd be okay with them being the mics in my first studio if I was close on budget. And... the Rode Podcast board has custom settings for this mic which makes it even easier to use. I'm impressed. ... More

Amazing quality and operations. When you pic this mic up for the first time it feels like a million bucks in your hand. Feels extremely well built. I was more impressed with B&H and how fast they processed the order and got it out to me. I messed up and ordered a Go XLR from Amazon the same day I ordered this mic and a boom from B&H and I didn't get the Go XLR until 3 days after recieving my product from B&H. ( I had a gift card for Amazon) I will check with B&H before I order anything in the future and get all my items from them! ... More

We have a selection of mics that we use here at ElectricianLIVE but when we added the Rode Podmic to our lineup along with our RodeCaster Pro console we achieved MAGIC. The PodMic is so well balanced and the price point is amazing. The ability to have multiples for live streams and remote events at such affordable pricing is astonishing. Also RODE is a top notch group to work with as their customer service is second to none. Also the service we received by B&H as well was award-winning excellent as always. They are my GO TO Folks.

Bang for the buck I honestly don't think you can buy a better microphone for spoken word. It is heavy and feels extremely well made. I have it running through a triton fethead inline pre amp and a m-audio air 192/4, sounds great. I use it for streaming and it does a good job of not picking up to much room noise or my pc. Looks good too. Yeah it isnt the status symbol a shure sm7b is but will definitely sound good and look good for you while costing 300 less. Not this mic is not recommended for singing or instruments. ... More

I bought the Pod Mic to use with my Rodecaster Pro (Also available from B&H). The Pod Mic is made for it. I was happily surprised at the quality of this mic. Is it a U87? No. Is it a 414? No. Is it good enough for podcasting? OH YEAH! It's a dynamic mic so it doesn't need phantom power. I love the proximity effect because it doesn't get out of control. At its price point it competes with an SM58 or 57. But its design favors a boom mount and it doesn't break the bank. Go for it!

We're very pleased with these mics for our company podcast. We don't have a great place to put up sound treatment, and we work in a pretty noisy building across the street from a busy recycling center. These mics work flawlessly with our RODECaster Pro and do a fantastic job cutting the noise without any fuss. My audio workflow has sped up considerably now that I don't have to do wild audio clean-up in post.

After doing research for a great affordable XLR mic, I came across the Rode PodMic. This is my first XLR mic and I couldn't be happier! Everyone on my work Zoom calls and to talking with friends on Discord say I sound amazing and clear! Great quality mic and kudos to B&H for the free expedited shipping! If you are looking at this mic, don't hesitate! These things have been on backorder everywhere.

Awesome podcasting mic that I've been using for voice overs and ADR for short films. Solid construction, built like a tank. Although there's an internal pop filter included with the mic, i recommend picking up a separate pop filter, as the one built in doesn't completely get rid of plosives. The built in shock mount works well.

It's the best quality you get for the price This mic is dynamic i had an issue with reverb echo and noise around me this mic isolates your voice lovely also no phantom power needed I make youtube videos i love how it feels Now i'm not worried about the ac noise kids constructions outside This is the best thing i bought so far I can't think os a downside maybe it's heavy so you have to get a hard mic arm if you gonna install it on the side of your desk

I'm super happy with the overall build quality and the audio quality. The integrative pop filter works great for my needs and keeps me from having to get another bulky pop filter. I would recommend picking up a microphone in line preamp if you plan on using this without a mixer as the audio for dynamic mics are lower than a condenser mic Other than that, hands-down will buy again whenever we need a second mic!

I use this in conjunction with the Rodecaster Pro, so it has a nice setting for this mic. That being said, I still needed to tweak some things. Even without the little tweaks I did, it had a great sound. It is also a very robust mic. It feels like it will last really well and the looks are fantastic on camera!

Love this kit. Got the rodecaster pro to to go along with it all, and won't need anything else for quite some time. The only thing worth mentioning is be aware that the cables come installed inside the arms, so if something were to happen to cause the cable to stop functioning, you may have to replace the whole thing, I'm not sure how easy it would be to remove the cable. Would buy again. Definitely advise buying the rodecaster pro to go with this set.

The Rode Podmic is probably the best budget xlr microphone for YouTube, Streaming and Podcasting. I wqs looking for a mi for podcast, so audio quality is of very high importance. The audio is crisp and clear, the plosives are there but nothing a pop filter can't fix. I spent about a month watching reviews and reading on different options, AKG, Shure, Samson, and I am glad that are after several reviews, this mics was highly recommended and now I know why.

I'm not an audiophile, but as someone who decided to upgrade from a mediocre gaming headset to a proper setup? This is absolutely incredible. This thing is built like a TANK and since it's dynamic, it no longer picks up the noises of my family moving around the house. I've been told on several occasions that I sound great, and I suggested this mic for a friend who just received theirs. For $100, you can't go wrong.

I initially tried to pair the PodMic with a Presonus Audiobox but was getting a bunch of white noise after recording. So, I purchased a Scarlett Solo to split test and behold the power of the PodMic (said in my Disney villain voice). The sound is perfectly clear and I'm in love. Please keep in mind that the PodMic is dynamic and you'll need to be kinda close to it. Great value for the money A++++++

This is a podcasting mic. It's designed to work with the Rodecaster pro. Put with that recording system, these are the best mics you can buy for podcasting for any price. Period. If you're comparing them to other general purpose mics, it's a very good $100 mic that holds it own, but that's not what it's for. It's for podcasting. Podcasting folks. Use it for what it's designed for and you'll be very happy.

Overall the Rode Podmic is fantastic. My only issue is the mic records a little to quiet. On my audio interface, I need to Gain 75-90% to get decent levels. Might want to consider combing the mic with a cloud lifter for more control. Besides that the build quality is outstanding and the audio quality is great for the price.

Was looking for a perfect match for my Rodecaster, and the PodMic is a solid performer, especially for the price. Compact size, solidly built, with great sound. Good upgrade from a condenser mic if you are looking to upgrade without breaking the bank. Just be sure you have a good audio processor if you want to hook it up to your computer.
