Only wish I purchased this audio interface prior to the 48 volt phantom power unit I bought to power my condenser microphone. The Scarlet 2i2 connects easily to my Mac via USB and I love how it's powered by the Mac itself.
good product BUT. I dont know if Id buy this again.

I used this to record my albums. Im made about 15 albums within a year and a half and now the audio is gong in and out really loud. this is aggravating especially when making a song or listening to music. I dont know why this is doing it, should have gotten the extended warranty, Id have a new one right now but. Didn't so I might buy another one and get the warrantee.

I use it just to drive my KRK Rokit 5 monitors and it does a nice job of that. Clean and simple interface with a really nice aluminum casing and tactile feel on the knobs. Set up in seconds with no software installation required on my Macbook Pro.

Needed to change USB interfaces because my existing would not work with Pro-Tools-First and the latest MAC OS. However, neither will the 2i2 without the download firm ware fix. Yes, it now works. That issue aside, the unit is a solid product in every respect.

The device built amazingly! All the buttons are very conveniently placed. Easy to follow installation and setup. Focusrite youtube channel contains videos with instructions on how to set it up in different DAWs. The set of complementary plugins is awesome!

I like the finishes and design of this interface. I hooked it up to my Mac and it just worked. There's included software that I might delve into at some later point, but for now quickly hooking up my mic and Cloudlifter is exactly what I needed.

Bought this unit to accept multiple audio inputs into a laptop in support of video conferencing. It works like a charm. The attached photo shows a condenser boundary mic to pick-up conference table audio and a single channel Wireless GO II input for the presenter.

There are a lot of USB interfaces out there and only one Focusrite Scarlett, I like that the XLR plugs are on the front of the unit and not on the rear which means less fumbling for things. Thanks for a great USB interface.

We are using this card to get audio directly from a sound board to a PC that encodes sound and video for streaming. The setup eliminated an interference that was driving us crazy. Very easy to use and configure!

I use the Scarlett 2i2 in my home studio and am extremely pleased with its productivity, build quality, and compact size. The Scarlet has top notch pre-amps and produces a professional warm sound and the monitor capability allows for a smooth workflow.
Software crashed my computer

I ended up spending $300 and a couple of weeks to diagnose and repair my windows PC after installing the scarlett software and having a fatal crash. It created a BSOD/start up loop that was not self repairing after the interface was removed from the computer. Upon research, this is a known problem with the software for this interface. I returned the unit and will purchase something else.

Easy to setup, almost plug-and-play. Using in combination with 1/4in jacks to JBL studio monitors for video editing. I LOVE having a physical dial to control volume instead of click-click-clicking around with a mouse. Included with free audio software!
