I use this shotgun mike on my Sony video recorder. The increase in audio quality is amazing. Don't forget that audio plays a big part in the overall quality of your recording.

This is a good mic - well built, versatile (battery powered). Audio quality is good - no one will mistake it for a Neumann KMR 81, but hey, it's a tenth the price :)

Did the job, but don't use with an xlr to 1/8 wire. Its gonna produce static.

... This mic does a great job picking up distant sounds. I video tape weddings and have been doing so for 15 years and believe me you can not get a better mic for the money.
