Good quality camera
Good quality and relatively easy to use (my first ever camera). My only issue was with the Sony app on my iPhone. I had to use a different app called imageEdge to transfer photos straight to my phone.

Great pictures but?
Great pictures from this camera and a very good zoom but the buttons are very close together which is obvious with a pocket/purse camera, occasionally a wrong one is pressed but turn it off and on again to get back to normal. Very good camera if I am careful using it.

replacement camera
This is an excellent camera and the picture quality is excellent both at the extreme zoom range and close up but the macro photos are incredible. The camera itself is quite small but is solidly made and feels really comfortable and easy to use. This was a replacement for a Sony hx 60 that I dropped onto concrete but I reckon this is a much better camera as it has a Zeiss lens even if it is down on pixels. Overall I am extremely pleased with this camera and have no hesitation in recommending it.

A nifty little camera
This camera is nice and compact with the benefit of a viewfinder to use when it is too sunny to view the screen which can be tilted to view a selfie. Also has a pop up flash.

Excellent camera
Excellent build, great lens and rich in features. Simple to use if needed but may take a little time to learn all the options if you haven't used a Sony before. Well worth the effort as the creative possibilities are just great. For the price this camera is hard to beat!

great little camera
Compact and easily fits in a pocket. Good picture quality and a large zoom range. Although at the higher end of magnification stability can be an issue and sometimes it struggles to focus. I particularly like the option of the spirit level on screen when taking a picture. I also like the electronic viewfinder and that you choose for it to pop up only when needed. Tilting screen can be useful. The on/off button is too small but the other controls are easy to use. Overall, very pleased with it

This camera is small in size but big in features.
I love this camera, and it's small size. Great for holidays and days out. Great zoom and a viewfinder is one reason I bought it. Not having to try and see the screen on bright days. Loads of features and setting's or just use on auto. Can even take selfies with the titling screen. Picture quality very good even in low light and flash is good and hides away when not needed like the viewfinder, leaving a compact design. Would recommend this camera to anyone though not for professionals.

Great Camera
This is a upgrade to an Old Sony camera in the H range. Its an amazing camera takes great pictures. Has a selfie mode. Just as good as my old one. This is more compact and has a bigger zoom.

Usefull
I have purchase this camera as i would like to began vlog videos and this camera is perfect for ! Auto focus is amazing to be completely honest video quality is much better then the picture quality ,so perfect for me. Loads if fun options and the sounds perfect .. definitely worth its price

Poor ergonomically, too fiddly to use with ease.
Disappointed after owning a previous version for 7 years. The camera is now too small and fiddly to use. Good points are the NFC & Wi-Fi picture transfer to your smartphone and 180 degree swivel screen that allows selfies.

its,i am sure a return
it camr in a bag the box was open there was even a foil in th instruction book ,but mainly it was not packeged right tried customer service and they said we dont send returns,anyway i left it then ordered another ,box was sealed camera packed as ot should have been i could tell it was new and unused paid argos off and never again will i order from them

A little cracker
I wanted a small compact with some manual control not just point and shoot and this camera ticks all the boxes for me. The zeiss lens is superb and the zoom is very quiet compared to some others. Picture quality is excellent and the camera feels very well made. I bought the genuine case for it which is perfect and makes handling the camera much easier. The pop up viewfinder is very clear and is great in bright conditions. 100% recommend this camera and great service from Argos.

Lovely compact camera
This is a lovely camera and the viewfinder will be a godsend on a sunny day! Not happy that the camera has to be charged through a usb rather than providing a battery mains charger. These are available elsewhere but are pricey add ons.

Sony HX80
This Sony Camera is Great, with an amazing 30x optical zoom by zeiss, and 18mp the only down side is the controls are a bit fiddly for a Mans fingers,but i am getting used to them.

Great mid range camers
Great point and shoot camera, I use for recording my training sessions , the quality is great, not 4k but of a good standard (FHD is 1080p)

Excellent go anywhere camera
Very compact but easy to use camera. So much better than a Panasonic TZ80 (which we bought from John Lewis but returned because of its very poor low light performance)- this gives very nice pictures, good low light video and images and straightforward wifi- iPhone connection. Zoom is great and elevates it above phone cameras. No touchscreen but the interface is so easy to use it was no problems and in some ways easier to use. Overall very pleased.

Very good little camera
Very good little camera. Easy to use. Fit without problem in my jacket pockets. The tiltable screen is great for the selfies. Sony always make products with good build quality. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Worth the money.

The camera is really versatile
This little camera is very versatile & packs an incredible amount into an amazingly compact body. I love the tilting screen, the pop up viewfinder & flash.. Despite the small sensor size the picture quality is very good & the 30x optical zoom makes it an ideal travelling companion. The auto modes are good but having manual controls helps with creativity. The video quality is full HD. I highly recommend this camera.

This is a really high quality camera
I’ve always rated Sony cameras highly, they are well made and have great lenses, in this case a Zeiss sonnar lens. The one feature I rate above all other features on the hx80 is the pop up viewfinder which is a great help when composing pictures. the Wi-fi is easy to set up and use in conjunction with the Sony camera app ( iOS and Android). In all, this is a great camera.

Exceptional Camera
Small enough to fit in your pocket full of features. Expect Sony build quality and ease of use with this stunning camera I was taking quality pictures within minutes of first use. Full HD video, built in WIFI, hidden flash and view finder. Just remember to buy memory cards.

More impressive than at first appears.
I have been using Sony cameras for some time becaus ethey work well, have fantastic zooms, and use the same batteries. This one appears less than it is, and the eye-level viewfinder is good, but a nuisance because it has to be up or down, and if you need to adjust the dioptre, it means more than simply lifting it. Also the dioptre range is inadequate for all eyes. Still, very good and useful in bright conditions. The main screen does not fold out or down, just up for selfies,
