Simple, effective solution
This soundbar is incredible. I’ve searched the net for a soundbar that’ll suit my tv and came across this smart, classy looking device. It does what it says, amazing sound options and bass is deep! Some people complaining about the bass but it’s immense for me! I had to turn it down...maybe because my stand is made of glass which is where the soundbar is situated so it bounces of it, or size of my room, which is big. Best if you have a Panasonic TV that supports HDMI ARC and has viera link,

Panasonic soundbase
Bought to enhance the sound on my Panasonic 4K UHDTV. The difference between the TV sound and the soundbase is incredible. The soundbase is quite simple to set up, unobtrusive but the quality of the audio from it is astounding. Speech is crystal clear, music fills the room and base fantastic. It connects via Bluetooth to my smartphone and tablet easily. A huge improvement over the normal sound from the TV and friends and family have been so impressed by it two of them have bought identical units

Panasonic SC-HTE80EB-K Soundbar with Built-in Subw
I brought this as I have a Panasonic TV & find that Panasonic products work & last well,this work great with my Panasonic TV as I can use my sky controller to turn the soundbar up & down once connected to my TV HDMI socket.It also turns on & off automatically with my TV.The sound is really good with so many different setting that are easy to understand on a blue LCD display.My TV is 50" I can't put it underneath as my TV is too big.The soundbar is the size of a DVD player mite be a little bigger

Neat tidy,perfect base with Panasonic TV.
Perfect fit with a Panasonic TV as TV sits directly on the sound base.No blockage of infra red sight as with other sound bars running along front of TVs. Reasonable sound and bass.Gave 4 stars for sound because I believe sound bars are only as good as your own hearing,in this case it's probably better than mine.Setup is virtually plug and play with my old Panasonic HD.Definately much better sound and appearance than my previous Goodmans soundbar. Twice the price but more than twice the benefit.

Sleek piece of sound heaven.
Make sure you use a compatible hdmi cable, not expensive just compatible 1.4 or higher . My first mistake. Once sorted, the setup was easy. The remote was only needed for initial setup. I did not place it directly under the TV but in an open fronted wooden cabinet, thought this maybe a mistake but the sound is still fantastic. Best linked to a Panasonic TV with viera link and ARC hdmi. Linking soundbase to Bluray gives good sound. All in all an amazing bit of kit and worth every penny. Enjoy

Good TV sound bar
We bought this to replace our old tv sound bar. It does not quite have the power of the old one which had a separate sub woofer but it pretty much does the job. Could not be easier to set up, just plugged it in and it worked. The remote control is quite solid and the 0-100 volume on the display is useful. It was also very simple to tune my SkyQ remote into the sound bar. If you want absolute cinema quality sound it's probably not for you but for general family TV, films and sport it's great.

Bought to enhance sound from the telly particularly for films. Chosen as subwoofer all in one so only needs one plug. Initially struggled with set up - needed an optical lead as TV not got arc connections but once sorted sound great and adjustable for different conditions e.g cinema, stadium. Neat and relatively unobtrusive - sitting under my sky box (too small for base of TV). Instructions somewhat sketchy for set up but managed it once I realised optical lead required. Sale price too!

A great addition to anyones tv/audio set up
I've read quite a few comments about this sound base being dissapointing regarding its lack of punch in its bass setting,I don't agree,it's a superb product,and most certainly gives out powerful thumping bass output,the key to this sound base is tinkering with its audio settings,it's so easy to do this and it couldn't be easier to do so as its so easy to set up from the off,everything is easy to figure out,I didn't need to consult the user manual,this product is well worth anybody's money.

Much improved sound over flat screen TV
Paired with a Sony 42 706 TV a and much improved sound quality with depth of effects and background sound. Box is too small for 42inch Sony to stand on but placing in TV cabinet made no sound difference. Very small remote but sound activates with and controlled by the TV anyway. Channel indicator is bright but can be turned down. Obviously not as good as a surround system but decent punch and a good sub for the pale sound of a flat screen TV. Easy to set up and use. Pleased with purchase.

Very good value soundbase
for the price paid I cannot fault the Panasonic Soundbase. HDMI with arc which works a treat with my Sony TV (6 years old) so only need the tv remote to alter the sound. the sound is very good especially the dialogue function which means it is much easier to hear speech, there are 4 settings for this and also 4 for the subs. when playing music with heavy base the subs cant cope if they are at setting 4 however that was only with a few songs. No issues with lip sync using HDMI connection.

Good for the money
If you want to hear people talking on your tv then this unit is great, set it for dialogue and turn the base down to one. I find that for action movies the base is plenty strong enough if you set it at maximum. Play with the settings and you can get a reasonable sound from your music. I found setting it up was as simple as plugging it in, I do have an old Panasonic Vierra tv, The tv, dvd and music (via bluetooth) all worked straight away. No issue with speech lag or with size of handset.

Best sound bar by far
What can I say. Sound is amazing. If you love a deep rich base, then do not hesitate to buy this. Dialogue is very clear. I personally have mine setup to Base Level 4, and V.High Base selected to On, and Sound Mode set to Cinema. Plenty of input connections. Optical, Phono L/R, HDMI (Arc) and Bluetooth. It also has an HDMI input, so if you have any other device e.g. Blu-ray/DVD, Sky, Freesat HD, Xbox one etc, this will connect directly to this sound box, rather than directly to the TV.

Compact and great sound quality
Excellent addition just amazed how it produces the sound and base it does from such a compact unit. Used for general use, ps4 , footy , films from Disney to actions and just adds to cinema feel. Can't rate it high enough for its size and eas of setting up. Never going to be as good as surround sound speakers dotted round the room but it was not what we wanted so it's ideal for us. One hdmi cable into our Panasonic tv and works with the remote no probs. excellent bit of kit well chuffed

Great disappointment
I've had many Panasonic items, but this has been a great let down. Despite all the reviews I have found the sound not at all impressive; just a too powerful enhanced bass which needed the volume reduced. The speech/news setting seems to make no difference at all. HD channels the sound level drops dramatically so the volume level trebled! The remote is exceptionally thin, light weight and very awkward to hold, indeed very poor quality. Sits well under Panasonic TV. Regret the purchase,

"Small but BIG sound"
On the 11/06/16 hubby and I treated ourselves to a new 40" Panasonic Smart TV from Argos, got it home and loved it from as soon as we set it up. We had spoke about treating ourselves to a Soundbase/bar, didn't know what to do for best, then 1 week later we found this beauty. Panasonic AGAIN - neat, compact, may be small but the sound is BIG. Absolutely love it, just like the TV, so easy to setup, looks good, well worth getting. Hubby and I are both extremely happy with both products.

A Sound Choice
With it's neat, compact design this is a great choice for anyone looking to enhance the sound of a flat screen TV. Multiple sound settings to suit programming (cinema, stadium etc.), and the Bluetooth facility is a really useful feature. No cables included - so if your TV does not support HDMI ARC, you'll need both an HDMI cable and a Digital Optical cable which can be fiddly to fit. All in all, this is a great buy. You'll really notice the difference when you turn it on (and off) !

Good Soundbase
A good product that makes dialogue clearer and provides good sound quality. It is possible to have loud volume without distortion. There is no reverberation that occurs in small TV speakers when certain notes are sounded. It did not work with an HDMI connection but required an audio optical cable. The soundbase is neat and any television set weighing less than 30 kilos can stand on it as long as the stand is of less width than the soundbase, making for a very neat arrangement.

Worthy purchase Excellent
Good sound and very easy to set up and use. Connected Toshiba TV and sound base using HD MI arc cable which allows the TV remote to control sound base volume. The sound base is used in a small room and we had to turn the base down. Did not want to annoy neighbour's. Having a proper display shows you every setting and is far better than small led lights found on sound bars at this price. A worthy purchase and I would recommend it as it far superior than the sound from your TV.

Soundbase has revitalized the TV
The speakers on my old Panasonic HD TV were starting to not sound too good. (On some channels, they buzzed, especially on spoken sound). I looked at a few soundbars, but they would be obtrusive in the room. Then I found this Soundbase, which sits underneath the TV. It was easy to set up, and has totally revitalized the sound from the TV. Better still, , both the TV and Soundbase work off the old Panasonic TV Remote! For the money, its made a big difference in sound quality.

A big improvement over the standard TV speakers
Having had this soundbase for over 6 months I feel I've put it through everything you'd expect a product like this to be able to handle. The Bluetooth works brilliantly, and pairing is simple via the Pair button on the remote. Connecting to the TV isn't particularly difficult, with the hdmi option being the easiest as it's just a case of plugging in the cable. The bass is pretty good for its size, but don't expect wall shaking sound. Overall, very happy with the Soundbase

Excellent piece of kit.
Dont have room for a soundbar. This base fits neatly on the shelf under my TV with blu ray and sky q on bottom shelf. Connected with optical cable (soundbase to TV) Everything perfect, great bass in fact had to turn it down from default! Various sound options but standard works fine with most programmes. Can be controlled using one remote except for turning on! Overall far better than I expected for the money literally more bangs for your bucks and 1st class service from Argos.

Makes watching the tv more enjoyable
I recommend this Soundbase to anyone who wants to enhance the sound they get from their TV. It was easy to set up. Please be aware that it doesn't come with a cable. If you have a Panasonic Viera TV all you need to get is a HDMI lead which plugs into the ARC. It links up perfectly.You can change the sounds for music, stadium, home cinema etc. I can hear everything clearly now. It comes with a small remote control (button cell battery included). It looks good and sounds good.

definite improvement over the TV speakers
had to buy HDMI & optical cable before I could get any sound, but apart from that setup was straightforward. Unfortunately even though I have a Panasonic TV I can't get viera link to work. Sound is clear even at high, or low volumes. Speech is improved over the TV speakers and music is clear and crisp. No more large increases in volume when the ads are on. The base of my 40" TV is slightly smaller than the soundbar so fits nicely on top. To sum up, I'm pleased I bought it!

Great Sound
Bought this item because the speakers are at the back of my TV and my hearing is not great, certainly improved the sound especially for movies. I hear sounds which I didn't hear before, how ever not quite so good for news or voice tends to be a little bias towards bass sounds in my opinion. For me not being technology savvy a little tricky to set up but managed it more by good luck than understanding. Sits nicely under the TV. Value wise bought nothing to compare it to.
