Bush 19 Inch HD Ready LED TV/DVD Combi
Picture quality is excellent (requiring correct settings). Very user friendly. Using as a monitor for my PC. Poorly designed stand and unclear instructions to remove stand completely . It leaves an irritating box of plastic below. Ill be taking my tools or a hammer to this soon. Otherwise good purchase. I would recommend a larger screen for Tv functionality but this is sufficient for the use i require. Added CD player, a good feature, unused as of yet.

alba dvd tv
bought this for the kids play house, easy to set up and install, pictures not bad at all once using a hd receiver, could do with a few more hdmi connections for sure and the Ariel port is downward facing in the back wich means you can connect a sky magic eye straight in the back without making a short lead. not to sure on the in built DVD player as yet as ive never had one last that long in a tv so i guess we'll see on that one. but over all very pleased.

Excellent TV/DVD Combo for the kitchen
This sub £120 unit does the job in style receiving over 100 programme services - including 64 Freeview TV channels using just an indoor aerial from a 41 mile distant transmitter. DVD and other inputs all work as advertised. Picture is superb - strong, bright with well saturated colours. As you would expect sound is a bit "tinny' given the small size of the speakers within a confined space, but still better than many. An excellent product - highly recommended!

Much better than my previous!
Although I couldn’t find a 16””screen (previous and ideal) this 19” Alba is such a great difference it matters not. The sound on my old one was so hideous it was unbearable. Finally, I can now sit in bed in comfort! Although I could not entirely adjust the picture to my liking, it seems to be settling, and is entirely acceptable. Haven’t used the DVD yet, but looks easy to understand. Overall am very pleased with it. Package and delivery excellent.

Brilliant for a bedroom etc
Fantastic small TV for the price. Connecting it to a satellite box was easy (we haven't got a TV aerial), switched it on and within seconds it set itself up !! Its so light as well, I wanted to also use it as a DVD player in a room without satellite etc , picked it up, plugged it in, and within a minute or so, was watching a DVD. The picture is brilliant, and the sound OK for its size. Looks good as well, and its got a remote. Well pleased with it.

Ideal for bedroom
Television is easy to set up with Freeview. Picture quality is excellent but sound quality is very tinny which is probably to be expected for price. I set it up with a Sky Link to pick up the Sky box downstairs. This was easily done scanning on the analogue scan setting. However it proved impossible to link up the Sky remote with the television to control the volume and on/off button as nobody could provide the 4 digit code to programme into the remote.

Perfect for a kitchen
My other half wanted a TV for the kitchen. Not only did this come in at the right price, it also hada number of handy features. Picture and sound are acceptable given the cheap price. DVD player works well, as does recording onto a USB stick. User interface is not very friendly and needs some work. No HD tuner despite TV being capable of 720p. Haven't tried playing back video media from a stick. My other half loves it, that's all that matters really.

Excellent value, picture, sound, etc but.........
The one I bought was great for just a few hours but then the remote failed to work the channels, although the set registered it was receiving the remote signal. Argos will exchange it, and so it's a minor inconvenience. No point in slagging Argos off or the manufacturer. There is no such thing as 'perfection' in any production method. When tested, it worked, it worked in my house, for a while. It won't put me off the make or model. We like it.

Problems with picture quality and programme guide
Picture quality poor. Need to have brightness to max to get any colour in the picture. Programme guide has 2 options but neither gives you what you want. One option is just a list of channels without telling you what programmes are currently showing. Second option is a list of programmes showing on ONLY the one channel you are currently watching. So no option to scroll down through programmes on each channel. Wish I hadn't bought it.

2 in 1
A great little tv for the bedroom or kitchen. I already have one of these and find it reliable , unobtrusive and clear. I particularly like the DVD function, keeping everything streamlined. This is why I chose it as a Christmas present for my granddaughter - her first tv and she was delighted. Its only weakness is maybe the sound - I have to turn it quite high to hear speech clearly, but I think that's usual in this price bracket.

Bought for my daughter's bedroom...
...and for this purpose it is perfect. It is really light weight so easy to move if needed. We only have it for her to play DVDs on in her bedroom, so it is not connect to live TV. The only downside I would say is that you have to be sitting straight in front of it to watch - even if you sit at a slight angle from the TV the picture quality is not good (the colours seem to distort) but for the purposes we wanted it for it is great.

Very good value TV
We bought this TV to replace one which had a separate DVD player. This saved space as it is used in the kitchen and mounted on a wall bracket. For the price the quality of both picture and audio is very good and the built in DVD player is great. It was particularly easy to install especially the initial tuning setup which was completed very quickly. Would recommend highly as the instruction manual was well written and easy to follow.

The info box is too small to read.
Everything is in too small a print. You have to stand right in front of the set to read the info details or the channel listing and that defeats the object. After buying 3 x Hitachi TV's from you which were great, this the worse set I have ever purchased. If you had a 18 or 19 inch Hitachi set, that is the one to buy I will never by Alba ever again. I am sorry to say all this, but I am completely dissatisfied. with my purchase.

Great TV for a bedroom or kitchen
This is a great little TV. We needed to replace a TV in one of the bedrooms and this fits the bill perfectly. The in built DVD is a particularly nifty. The picture quality is great. Clearly as it is a small TV you are not going to get fantastic sound quality but it is perfectly good for the size of room and with a little playing with the audio settings you can get it how you want it. Very good very pleased and so simple to set up.

My tv is perfect size for a bedroom ,the sound is excellent ,the picture is good quality,the tv pics up many programmes ,a main fire stick cud get more programmes ,I would recommend anyone to buy it argos delivered when they said they would ,Argos was exerlent service ,friendly with the customers and very helpful,the prices in Argos are fare and competitive xy yyou can always find what u want in argos I wouldn't shop anywhere else

perfect as a first Tv for my 7 year old
The screen size, weight Is perfect for fixing to plasterboard wall, My son watches DVD’s and children’s channels which can all be controlled with the excellent password protected parental control features that enabled me to lock specific channels DVDs not suitable for his age. My son is over the moon with his birthday present. The sound isn’t the best but then again he can have it on without disturbing others in the house.

Excellent TV
Ideal for the Bedroom at the moment. So easy to set up just plugged the roof aerial in and plugged it into the electric and it came on - asked which language - set to update programmes automatically and it set its self up in minutes. Put the batteries in the remote and off you go! Good picture and sound OK. Just the right size for on top of the chest of drawers. Great price with freeview and DVD. Very happy and would recommend.

Adequate and meets a need
If you want a compact unit with built in DVD (which we did) then this fits the bill at a good price. The picture is excellent when viewed directly, deteriorates quickly when viewed from below the horizontal, so if mounted higher up then you need an adjustable bracket with good tilt. The sound is a bit tinny but can be improved by increasing the base. Overall not a bad unit and it works well with just a couple of limitations.

My little telly is a ‘Godsend’
Bought this little telly as I was going into hospital for a condsiderable time. Excellent value for money AND has the advantage of having a built-in DVD player. Good picture and reasonable sound quality for the price. Only drawback is the headphone socket (which is essential in a hospital) is in a very awkward and hard to reach position. Great service from Argos and, without this little ‘Godsend’, life would be unbearable!

Perfect size and quality for what I needed.
This TV is small, however, it is perfect for spaces that need a little entertainment. Being used in my daughters play area, it's screen resolution is brilliant and not too harsh to the eyes. The sound quality is ace for such a small device, perfect for crazy Daddy and daughter dance time. The inbuilt DVD-Player is great for movie time. The only fault I have, is that there is only a single HDMI socket. Perfect purchase for me!

Ok for the money but no DVD subtitles
No subtitles when watching DVD's. As it was for someone with a hearing disability this was obviously and issue! Odd that in this day and age a TV with built in DVD doesn't support a simple thing like subtitles. Argos were happy to collect and deliver a different TV on the same day so it was resolved pretty quick! Overall, TV great for the money and does what it's supposed to do unless you need subtitles on a DVD!

Don't expect too much
Picture is fine if viewed from the front or close to it, the further to the side you move the less distinct (and more blue) the picture becomes. I bought it for a bedroom where it is only ten feet away from the screen so no problem. The channel guide is very small and cannot be read without moving closer to the screen however. Overall if you're not expecting too much it's a perfectly adequate set for a small room.

Screen guide small
If you use the TV guide on screen do not buy this product. The guide is so small that you have to be up close to read it. I had to send mine back as I wanted this for my bedroom and the TV was only 6ft away and was only able to read the screen if I got up and went within a foot of it. I was told by customer services that all Alba TV's are like this so I exchanged for a Hitachi and the guide is a full screen.

Cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for.
I needed a small TV that would take an HDMl connection to attach to a Sky Q mini box. It was replacing an ancient small Tv with DVD, so I chose to take the DVD option on the Alba. I am perfectly content with this TV. It does the job I wanted, it looks very smart in the corner of my kitchen, I dare say a TV buff could pick a thousand holes in it, but I didn't need anything more expensive.
