After 4 weeks of field test. the initial conclusion is: the 24-70mm gm lens is very sharp at entire focus range. while f2.8 create beautiful boken when object with distance from camara ang background.

Creme de la creme
Big, Bulky, Heavy. First thought is that this is not what I got into mirrorless for. But, once you look at the sharpness and seperation from the background, you will never want to take this lens off.

Best lens I've owned
This is easily the best lens I've ever owned. Sharp as a tack and it's fast. Focusing is easy with the electronic focus and build quality is amazing. It's a big lens, but it fits well in my hand.

Excellent Lens
This is a well built lens, fast focus with a 7ARII, colors and contrast are wonderful, images are good, but not as good as Sony Distagon T FE 35mm f 1.4 ZA lens, however it is a versatile lens.

not sharp
I was excited for this lens after all the talk about how sharp it was. In real world use I have found it to be soft. A Canon 24-70 with the Metabones adapter is sharper then the this Sony lens.

Not as big as people have been saying
Works great so far, after just a few days of shooting. Superb image quality, and nice balance on an a7rii. The size is not so extreme as people were saying, in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Needed to be sharper
I didn't find this lens to be worthy of the price . At close focal lengths it was really sharp but out to 70 it wasn't even when on a tripod. Maybe i got a bad copy anyways i returned it .

I absolutely love this lens!
I absolutely love this lens on my A7r. This is one lens I keep on my camera for all types of photography. This zoom lens is almost as sharp as best prime lenses. You only need this one!

Perfect rendition of 24-70 2.8
Very nice. Great lens. I always wish the G Master lenses were smaller and lighter, but the quality is always amazing. So there you go. I suppose physics is involved in size decisions

Wish I had this years ago
This lens is excellent, sharp, smooth in auto focus, and manual focus. The perfect focal lens for everyday use - you will be very pleasantly surprised with this lens, get it....

Well built and sharp
This lens is really nicely made, is sharp, almost too big/heavy. I like the programable button on the side of the lens. This is a work horse. I am very happy with this purchase.

My favorite new lens
The sharpness on this lens is incredible! It's definitely weighty, but for the past several weeks all of my photos have been taken on this fella over 3 different photo shoots.

Lovely lens
I got this lens more or less for landscape photography with my A7RII. Haven't had a chance to get out with it yet for that but it is also perfect for wedding formal pictures.

Great Lens
The lens does everything you would expect from a product of this quality. It does; however, defeat the goal of a lighter camera using a mirrorless (a7rii This lens is heavy.

Expensive Versatile & Excellent Lens
So far, this lens appears to be a great performer. The biggest downside is the cost! It should also have a tripod mount since it creates quite a cantilever with the A7RII.

Excellent lens!
I just got it and made a few test and the bokeh at f/2.8 is outstanding. The lens is very sharp all the way even at f/2.8. Is an expensive lens but is worth every penny.

Amazing Lens - Big but worth it !
I own this and the 16-35mm 2.8 G Master as well as the 85mm 1.4 G Master and in my opinion the 24-70 is the best of the G Master lenses - amazing quality and sharpness !

Wow.
The captures are amazing. Sharp, sharp, sharp. Lens itself? Heavy, heavy, heavy. Not an ideal casual walk-around lens, but when you're doing something serious, it rocks.

Ordered this Lens before my trip to Patagonia and all I can say is wow! Sharp, clean, a great all round lens for the A7Rii. Order one for yourself, it is worth the $$$.

A Must Have
All around go to in just about any situation. I've shot portraits with it but mostly use it for video. Ultra clean images and awesome features makes this a must have.

Excellent lens
This is the first native lens that I purchased for my Sony A7Rll. The optics are amazing! extremely clean with fast focus. Like image quilty better than my cannons.

Expensive, but it truly is an amazing lens!
I use this lens with my Sony a7sii to shoot automotive events. Super happy I got this lens instead of a different one. Very fast and dead quite when autofocusing.

Fine Glass
This is one of the better glass and lens that I have had.. and the interaction with the Sony a7rii are tuned together as a fine tuned engine. Very happy with it
