The perfect pairing with the a7RII
I'll let the other reviews provide the technical breakdown, but trust me - this lens is awesome! Fast, sharp, and, when paired with my a7RII, brings out the best in both. Like peanut butter and jelly, mash potatoes and gravy, or finely aged wine and a great steak, we have another perfect pair!

Great lens and big results!
I really love this lens. I love the focal length and it has an amazing amount of uses. I have used it at a wedding and I plan to use it on multiple other various shoots. The various focal lengths allow for many different shooting opportunities and the autofocus and Boca are awesome!

Sony 24070 G Master Lens
I bought this lens for the Sony A6300 camera.. What a fantastic lens. The sharpness is unsurpassed. Sony hit a home run with this lens. It is very large, 82mm and at almost 2 lbs. I sturdy professional, high quality strap is very necessary. You will not be disappointed.

it looks like a dream, but its not.
i just bought this lens. and it has defect. desharp and doubled image at left upper zone of pic. i can see it well at 100% crop on a7r2. (24mm f2.8-f5.6) i also have a7s and even with 12mp 24-70 killed image. best fail in the world for verry high price. thanks sony.

I love this lens!
I have 4 other top of the line Zeiss lenses but this is my favorite lens since it is almost as sharp as my Zeiss Batis 25mm and 85mm but it is more versatile. It is the sharpest zoom lens I have seen so far. It is heavier and more expensive but it is well worth it!

I love this lens!
I have been using this with my A7Riii and they pair for high quality photos. It has sparked my photography and gotten me out shooting more. I'm so excited to have this lens! The only down side is that it's a bit heavy, but I guess that comes with the territory.

Im loving this lens.
I have recently move to Sony after 16+ years as a pro Canon user. I sold my first canon lens - the 24-70 f.8 L when moving to Sony. The Sony lens is incredible sharp and along with the eye focus, is amazing. Id recommend this lens to everyone as a base lens!

The wait was worth it!
This lens complements the Sony 7RII large sensor and 5-axis stabilization. The focal length covers most of my shooting. Although the lens is pricey and heavier than I had wished, it is a very sharp especially after applying the firmware recommended by Sony.

Good lens but not for me
Knowing in advance that it will be heavy but I thought I could handle the FE 70-200mm F4 then this should not be a problem. Somehow this lens just not comfortable for me to carry on the A7RII for a long time. I don't use tripod so this does not work for me.

A++ product
amazing lens for all sorts of photography, I use in conjunction with a7rii for amazing quality and sharpness throughout the frame. highly recommended for photographers in search of in depth detail shots at multiple focal lengths without sacrificing quality.

Glad I upgraded
I owned the 24-70 F4 and I read the reviews of the f/2.8 and decided that the reviews were so good I would get it. I am super happy with the results. The pictures are much sharper with this lens and my Instagram likes have gone up substantially!

The best lens to ever have. Literally its an all around lens. Its always been my to go lens wherever I go. I have it for half a year and its the best decision I have ever made. I know its pricey but its all worth it. Good combo with my a7 iii

Amazing quality and best color
I switched from canon gear to Sony. I was really impressed how beautiful colors and great quality this lens have. It definitely feels different from Canon. But I love how Sony improves and ahead of the game so I am not switching back.

5 star lens
I went from the Sony 24-70 F4 to the 24-70 2.8 GM and the step up was worth every cent. I'm so pleased I made the upgrade. I only wish this lens was available from day 1. It's not just the speed but overall quality at every level.

Sharp, Versatile, Amazing All Around
Its expensive. Its heavy. It doesnt have stabilization. But its sharp. Its a standard zoom. Its a fast zoom. And its well built. The image quality it delivers is unrivaled. A very versatile lens in an event photography space.

Best all-purpose lens
It's pretty expensive and kinda heavy, but its the best lens I own. Exceptionally sharp edge-to-edge... its amazing the images you can create paired with the A7Rii. If I could only pack one lens, this would definitely be it.

A very nice Kit lens :)
I am traveling with the Voitlander 12mm, the FE 24-70, Loxia 50 and the 70-300mm. I've gotten use to the size of the lens, and on those days when I am going to be in one place for the day this lens is my primary companion.

A great lens
This is a very sharp lens following in the line of G Master lenses. It resolved 80 lines/mm, corner to corner, in my testing. Tests were run with the new a7RIII. It is a heavy lens but it does provide high quality photos.

Excellent Sony lens
This lens is excellent coming from canon and switching to Sony is in my opinion the best decision Ive make to enhance my photography and creativity . Contrast is excellent and sharpness is incredible. Very happy!

Sharp and versatile!
Good versatile lens. Potraits carry a good bokeh and landscapes are sharp. It does not feel too big either, just about the right balance for the 7RII. Definitely recommend as the first lens to go for with a 7RII.

Top Notch Big Glass
This GM is the bomb. If it's 2.8 you want, go for it! Fast focusing, tack sharp, and pro build. This is a beast of a lens, even beating out the 70-200 F4 G, but it's the go-to for those mid range focal lengths.

decent, but for the money...
Generally a solid lens. However, at 24 mm end of things, the distortion is unacceptable. In fact it's atrocious. I would think that for that kind of cash, Sony could have done a better job with correction.

Great Glass
The image quality of this lens is amazing, it comes with a great case to store it in as well. It feels solid in hand and the zoom is smooth. It is a bit heavy but it is a 24-70mm so that's to be expected.

Sony comes through with a sharp quality 24-70MM
The lens is big and expensive but it lives up to the reviews. I'm using it with an A7RII. It compares to the still shots I get with the Nikon 810 and Nikkor 24-70 F2.8. I haven't tried it with video yet.
