Great camera
I brought this for a future trip a broad to take photos and videos. Not used it that much but on first impressions it’s great. Although it’s quite tricky to get the photos/videos off the camera app and onto my iPad as I don’t have a computer so the only way I can get them is buy using the Sony app for the camera.

Great little camera!
Got this camera in preparation for our first Orlando holiday. Wanted something with great images and great video, and this has both! And has the flip screen so great for selfies and vlogging, which is what we will be doing. Great camera at a great price!!

Great compact
I wanted a compact camera to take in my cabin baggage for a recent trip to Holland, to avoid the weight of my full size camera. I haven’t used it to its full potential yet but so far am happy with the results. The zoom seems great and I also took action shots using the continuous setting which was easy to use. A great feature is that there is help built into the camera for each setting, by just pressing the “?” button which has been very helpful. Quality is good too.

The image quality is amazing

Brilliant little camera. copes with everything.
How do they do it? I just leave it on auto and it takes great pics. Burst shooting great for catching the kids. And i don't know how it worked out how to catch them without blurring on the trampoline.

Great camera for YouTube videos
Works really nicely for filming videos for YouTube, imports quickly on to my laptop and the quality is great. Still pictures come out really well and the zoom is excellent.

My ideal travel camera
I bought this camera after a lot of research because I wanted it to be pocket sized but have a long optical zoom and several other key features. All boxes ticked and I've been particularly impressed with the lack of camera shake at long zoom lengths. The flip up screen and the ability to take picture bursts have been surprisingly useful too. In my opinion, hard to beat as a pocket sized all round camera for travel, sports and wildlife.

Amazing for the size

Good solid built camera.
Fancied a new camera for an upcoming Florida holiday and after reading lots of reviews I decided on the Sony hx-80 because of the good price and good picture quality on both stills and video, also the 30x optical zoom will be a good addition. Loads of features to play with.

An easy to use camera with a powerful zoom
This is an easy-to-use and compact camera with a powerful zoom. The pop-up viewfinder is a great help. If you wear glasses, you need to pull out the tiny pop-up viewfinder screen - otherwise you cannot see through it.

My camera very easy to use, very compact

Faulty item: Returned
I never got to use the camera because it won't accept an SD card. Turns out that the camera was faulty as confirmed by a Sony expert/dealer. I had to return it to Argos for a refund.

Good but very small
A good camera with excellent features and zoom. On the minus side it is very small so some controls can be awkward if you have less than nimble fingers. Excellent value for money.
