Great picture quality, worst OSD
I bought two of these for my dual monitor setup. As far as picture quality goes they're great. However, the interface is absolutely awful, as well as the 'touch' buttons on the front panel for navigating the OSD. They are very unresponsive. It's like the touch screen on the first Android tablets, it doesn't accept half of your pushes. The LED power lights are very bright. Have plans to tape over the lights if you use these monitors in the same ro... Show More

Best 16:10 monitor.
One of my concerns about the U2415 was the possibility of it having intermittent blackout periods when connected via a Display Port -I had read and seen some users experienced it in the first batch. However, this never happened to me and can confirm they are working properly now. When I got it out of the box, I had a great first impression of this monitor. It's sturdy, well designed, and has an extremely thin bezel. The main reason I it was to ex... Show More

Great for Windows. Below expectations for OS X.
I wanted a monitor that would work equally well for Windows and OS X based systems. My primary use for both machines is coding and various documents, and in part drove the choice towards a 16:10 format. My other monitor is a Dell 2209wa (UltraSharp). After a great deal of research I settled on this Dell U2415. I've set up the Dell Windows machine using HDMI input via a DVI-HDMI adapter. The OS X MacBook Pro Retina connects using DisplayPort input... Show More

Works well with Mac Pro (late 2013), but with a caveat
I added this as a second monitor for my Mac Pro. The image is super and it was great that it had been calibrated at the factory. I initially thought that setup was pretty straightforward, but I quickly encountered a problem that stumped me for a while although it was finally resolved. I connected the monitor to the Mac using the included mDP to DP connector. I expected no problem since the Thunderbolt 2 ports on the machine are backward compatibl... Show More

Love the color, but 1 out of 2 was defective
I really wanted to love this monitor. The color in general is so great. White really looks so good compared to my old monitor. I was super impressed that they include a factory calibration report with the monitor, using the Minolta Color Analyzer CA310 which from what I've found looks like a rediculously expensive professional calibrator. After a week, I liked my first one so much I bought another. However after receiving my 2nd monitor I wa... Show More

Great 16:10 monitor, a dying breed.
I bought this to replace a very old 2407WFP, which has served me very well. After reading many reviews I decided to go with this one. I primarily use this monitor for graphics work (3D, AE, Pshop, etc.). I game a little too (BF4) and every thing looks sharp with little to no ghosting, at least from what I see. Pros: 1. 16:10 ratio (1920x1200) 2. Super thin bezel 3. Color calibrated (to a certain extent) right out of the box. Cons: 1. IPS Glow - w... Show More

My first step into high-end-ish monitors.
I have only ever used bargain bin or second hand monitors that felt cheap compared to this bad boy. I am a big gamer, and I have been revisiting old and new games alike with a wild bewilderment of how beautiful these colors are. This monitor was a breeze to set-up. The stand just snaps into the back of the monitor. The connection point still has some wiggle room which is kind of annoying, but doesn't really get noticed other than when I put the m... Show More

Stop looking, you've found the monitor you need ...
Wow - what a sea of monitor options there are ... it's overwhelming, right?! I didn't a lot of research on a monitor for my XPS 8900 - I thought it was going to be a straight forward process - wrong! I wanted a quality monitor for web/mail/documents and more importantly pretty standard photo/video cataloguing, some editing and viewing. True color representation and balance was really important and I was torn about whether I needed to get the extr... Show More

Fantasic Picture!!! You won't regret this purchase!
I purchased this to replace an aging (10 year old) BenQ 19 monitor. I can say without any reservations this is the best monitor I have ever used. The picture is phenomenal! There were no dead pixels and everything hooked up easily to my 10 year old video card via a DVI to HDMI cable. It looks great sitting on the desk as well since the bezel is essentially non-existent. I use ViewSonic and Samsung monitors at work and this is monitor blows them a... Show More

Excellent ergonomic monitor
I needed an external monitor so I could create an ergonomic standing desk setup off my Macbook Air, and this product was the perfect choice. I'm a journalist, so I researched quite a bit. The Wirecutter advocates for essentially the 2012 model, but I see no reason not to get this 2015 model instead. The resolution is great. The thin edge is attractive. But more importantly, the 16:10 ratio lets me minimize my mouse movements, as does the ability ... Show More

Little Disappointing but Acceptable
Purchased for resolution and color for Photo Editing. The appearance of the monitor with limited bevel is nice. I also own the U2412M. I question if I should have purchased another of those as that monitor was excellent. I thought I was getting a slightly better monitor, but that is unclear. Cable access is annoying at best, but most monitors are clumsy that way. Disengage it from the stand to plug something in seems to be the best access. The di... Show More

Crisp text and nice saturated colors
The best monitor I have ever used. Considering the price I find it a bargain. I normally use very basic monitors and this a great step up. Not sure how it would compare to a $500 monitor. Pros: The colors and crisp and nicely saturated. Text looks good too. I prefer glossy screens for the bright colors but this one seems to be a good compromise between a matte and glossy. I didn't notice much glare with my average lit room. A super sunlit room mi... Show More

This monitor kicks butt
I'm loving this 24" monitor so far. Right out of the box I calibrated it with my i1 Display Pro and honestly, it didn't really need it. It was already pretty spot on. I'm using it for video and photo editing. I love the thin bezel. I only have one of these monitors but this bezel makes it perfect if you wanted to add a 2nd monitor. People have said some negative things about the OSD (On Screen Display), but I don't have a problem with it. I use... Show More

Best choice 16:10 monitor for me
I needed a 16:10 monitor to match an existing Dell 16:10 monitor I already owned. Reviews for this one sounded better than for other brands (I was not locked in on a Dell!). No noticeable dead pixels. I required DP and HDMI connections on a 16:10 monitor, and this was the best choice for me. I'm not super-picky about colorimetry. I found the default setting to be acceptable. The thin bezel is smaller than my old existing monitor, but that isn't d... Show More

A Superb Monitor for Photographic & Business Use
Hard to beat this superb Dell monitor at any price. Great resolution, great color, very even illumination across the entire screen, and being an IPS type display, this monitor has a very wide viewing angle vertically. Another reason I love this display is that the screen has a matte cover, so annoying room reflections are non-existent. Finally, I love the aspect ration of 1.6:1, or a pixel count of 1920 x 1200. For this 24 monitor, fine enough fo... Show More

Big difference from my old monitor!
I was previously using a 22 monitor, with a glossy screen. Depending upon the time of day, the reflections were terrible. This monitor is wonderful. I see no reflections whatsoever. I primarily use this for photo editing, as well as lots of number crunching. Moving from a 22 to a 24 didn't seem like much, but it really is a noticeable difference. Plus, this monitor is a 16:10, so you get the extra bit of height. The screen is very bright, in fact... Show More

As a scholar, reading pdf while taking notes / writing ideas / revising papers is critical daily job. The 24'' 16:10 screen factor is great in that parallel display of two windows is pleasantly achievable. Usually I have a pdf window to the left, and a Word window to the right, using screen split function. With this monitor, the size of characters on pdf could be the same as on a regular paper, which is great. The pixel distance on this monitor i... Show More

Capable monitor for photo editing. Doesn't cost a fortune
This monitor will tick all the boxes for enthusiast photographers. Good resolution and the color gamut is reported to be 99% accurate sRGB (which is great for a monitor in this price range). Color calibration seems to work well and images display wonderfully. The aspect ratio is 16:10 and not 16:9 as many other modern screens. Another Great Dell Monitor
I have only owned this monitor for less than a month but so far I find it a worthy upgrade from my Dell U2412M, which still is an excellent monitor. The U2415 does seem to be much better out of the box and the factory calibration is very useful. Most of my critical work is photo editing so screen color accuracy is very important. Great monitor!
I am so pleased with this monitor in so many ways. The image is sharp and colors are well balanced. The Dell software that came with it is actually quite useful. The best monitor from Dell for normal work
I absolutely love these monitors! They work great in a multi-monitor setup (I have 3 of them and most people in our company have 2). The speaker bar mounts very nicely to the monitor itself. On the newer monitors from Dell the bar mounts to the stand - which takes up space and looks very awkward. The people who use these run them at 100% of normal resolution. Some who got the U2719 (27) monitors find the characters too small and therefore run the... Show More

I bought two of these monitors for my wife to use in a dual monitor setup. The bezel is thin enough to not be noticeable, and my wife really enjoys using it for work. Great Professional Monitor
As expected, the colors on this monitor are really good. On purchase my main concern was that Dell used to have rather grainy anti-glare coating. This is no longer the case, at least not with this monitor. There is no noticeable grain at all and glare is nicely controlled. A big advantage of this monitor for professional users is the 1200 pixel height, 16:10 ratio, rather than they usual 1080, 16:9. Those extra pixels mean a lot because once you ... Show More
