Fantastic, light perfect for Caravan or Motorhome
We were on holiday in the caravan and our tv died, however, caravan has specific mounting place, ideally 15-18” max but none local to where we were, though Argos in Fort William had this, their smallest TV! Picture is fantastic, it’s a lot easier to control. It was easy to set up using a phone app to get the direction of the Ariel, it came with the mini cables needed to connect R, W and Y cables and R G and B (I think it’s B) cables, we needed R W Y to connect the caravans own dvd system.

Perfect as a bedroom TV
The TV itself is 720p, so not full HD, but the picture quality is surprisingly good and the resolution is fine for the screen size. Good strong colour and even worked with a cheap indoor aerial for us (which was a surprise). The DVD player works as expected and is a perfect space saver for my daughters bedroom. The only downside is that you cannot adjust the angle of the screen on the base stand, but we can live with that - and I suspect most people may use a wall mount anyway. Great purchase.

The jury's out on this one!
We got this TV to replace an old TV in the kitchen because we'd had it a long time and it began to crackle loudly and even with having a new aerial (because the old one fell off the roof!) it got no better. To be honest, apart from the crackling I preferred the old one. It still crackles a bit actually, but not as noisily, and I don't like what passes for a picture in its new-fangled way. Why do people assume this is progress? Apparently this review is too long, I've cut it. Don't ask me again.

A Very Basic 19" Television
There is only just enough room to plug in the aerial but not enough space to plug in the magic eye for our Sky box. We had to purchase a right angled adaptor online from elsewhere and had to wait for it to arrive before we could connect to Sky. We also found that the sound is very poor quality in that it sounds very "tinny". As we needed a TV urgently and have paid for it with an extended warranty, we will just have to put up with it but we will certainly look elsewhere before purchasing again.

Not bad for the price
Bought one of these to replace another one of these I managed to break (a little too easily in my opinion) by tipping over. I'd like to point out that I do actually think this combo is good value for the price it is. But picture quality is ropey. Blacks lose their blackness if viewed from any angle other than straight on (although probably good given the price.). The sound is a bit tinny. So you get what you pay for. But it does the job perfectly adequately- if you're not expecting miracles.

Excellent value
Got this for our caravan. Just the right size. Easy to set up.. Unclips from stand easily. Picture quality is good but you need to be fairly square on to the screen and at same level for best picture.. Adequate for the caravan but less good in larger room viewed from wider angles. However, sharp image and colours are good. DVD works very well too. Sound is thin, to be expected in a set this size. Might get an additional speaker to boost it a bit. Overall very good value and does the job well..

Good value second set
This was not my first choice but I have bought many Alba appliances and know they are value for money. This is more complicated than I would have liked and was a bit of a juggle to fix to its stand. It also has a tendency to switch itself on if placed too close to anything on one side. The manual [which is thicker than our local phone directory] is not easy to follow and I am still uncertain whether my set has all the features it refers to or whether the manual covers several different models.

Sadly, not a good buy
As usual, the service was excellent. I ordered the tv on line and had it delivered to my local Sainsbury store where it arrived the next day. Sadly, the picture was only acceptable when viewed head on. Move slightly up or down, left or right and the picture quality was very poor. The local Sainsburys was very good, took the set back with no quibbles and refunded the money to my card.I tried to order an alternative for just another £25 but sadly it was out of stock and I had to buy elsewhere.

Sleek look and great value.
I would highly recommend this dvd/ tv combo. It is mainly used for gaming & the quality is fabulous. Sharp & sleek looking. Enough ports /connectors to satisfy anyone. Easy to set up, actually my 14 yr old did this. Does everything it says on the tin. Alba has come a long way, just replaced an older version that had well outlasted its estimated life. I hope this one has the same longevity. Happy customer & thankful son for the upgrade on graphics /sound to continue his gaming interest.

Nice little TV
I bought this to have in my Den so I can play keep fit DVDs when I exercise and so my grandchildren can watch videos , (and leave grandpa in peace in the main lounge with the big tv ) I chose it as a small TV which fits on my bay window without dominating the room. The picture definition can be adjusted and I have chosen ‘ dynamic’ which is a more vivid colour than the standard Very pleased with it. Obviously it’s not what you may want in your large lounge as it would be too small

Cheap n not so cheerful
Bought this as one of the only small flat screen TV/DVD combo that will fit in a specific place in the bedroom. I knew from the reviews the manual was rubbish along with the sound quality but bought due to space limitations.. It was easy enough to set up, although one page of the manual says the DVD should face one direction and another page says the opposite! Colour is like everyone has been tangoed and the sound is very tinny with the options to adjust the bass and treble are unavailable.

very versatile, shame about the sound
Very versatile, originally bought as a replacement for my failed computer monitor. As a VGA monitor it is great. I bought it with the DVD option for flexibility in case I needed it. It is brilliant for recording freeview tv programmes (on USB sticks not DVD) and has been used extensively. TVS is not the most useable format for playing back the recordings on other devices. Its only real shortcoming is the poor sound quality. It is a shame that freeview radio programmes cannot be recorded.

Easy set up, excellent features inc. USB record
Quick and easy purchase. Viewed both TV options in store (TV only and TV / DVD / USB Record) to compare thickness and weight. Purchased TV / DVD / USB Record model for £10 more, as only slightly thicker and heavier. USB record feature an added bonus though not simple or straight forward to set up but provides ability to record TV to USB stick. Viewing angle and sound quality comparatively poor, but as it's intended usage will be in a touring caravan, hopefully shouldn't be a problem.

Tv for grandson
I bought this tvdvdcombination for my grandson's 7th birthday to replace the dvd player he has used since 4. He was so happy and excited. He received it on the Thursday and got to watch dvds on a larger screen. Unfortunately on the Saturday he had some friends over for a sleepover and one of the children threw a soft toy (it had plastic eyes and beak) and it hit the screen and it shattered totally. So wouldn't recommend that it goes in a child's room. Heartbroken grandson and no tv.

WORST TV EVER PURCHASED
This was a dreadful TV. The sound quality was appalling (with no option to amend it) and resembled bad reception toy radio sound rather than even the cheapest TV. The menu option was in such small print that it was impossible to read with no facilities to amend or enlarge this. It really is an appalling television. However, Argos couldn't have been nicer and when I returned it to the store within 24 hours they gladly exchanged it for a Hitachi TV which works, looks and sounds perfect.

Great TV for the Kitchen Diner
Our ageing TV in the kitchen diner pack up one lunchtime. I went on line ordered an exact replacement from Argos and it was delivered 2 hours later, FANTASTIC service! The TV is slightly different within its menu function but easy to follow. The picture quality is very good however the sound is a bit tinny, I have yet to play around with treble and bass settings, so that may resolve the concern. All in All, no complaints and would certainly recommend this as a very worthwhile buy.

Great value for money ideal for caravan/motorhome
The 19" LED Alba combination has excellent picture quality & lots of key features that you would expect with more expensive models. We purchased the TV/DVD to use in our camper van, as perfect for viiewing , without carrying a large unit around. The freeview is very user friendly & when coupled with an inexpensive portable magnetic aerial gives superb digital program quality. The DVD is very easy to use and with excellent playback quality. Overall I would strongly recommend this TV.

t v and combined dvd player
A very neat tv and d v d player , the d v d is very good clear and nice sound , the tv is very good picture , as long as one dose not move around , I use it to watch the tv whilst running on my machine to help throw away the boredom, a very good choice might I say , but as I have said previously, the picture is good whilst staying in one position , but as one moves the picture colours become dim and mix up with each over , but overall a very good price , well worth the purchase .

Good basic TV, but a couple of buts.
Easy to set up out of the box, with good quality picture and sound (but I'm not fussy about HiFi). However, it has a peculiar habit of turning itself on at random times with no relationship to timer settings. (I don't know it it then uses auto-off to turn off when I don't catch it and turn it off myself.) If it is recording at the time, it may stop doing so, or it may carry on. This appears to be random. I bought it in order to be certain to have recordings made, but I can't be.

Great TV And DVD combi at great price
We are really happy with this TV and DVD combi unit. Purchased for daughters bedroom which it has proved ideal for. Set up was very fast and easy and the unit comes with a stand or is wall mountable. We mounted it on the wall to save space. Picture and sound are great for a small screened product. Ideal for our purposes and great value for money. Comes with HDMI and Usb connectivity so firestick can easily be connected. As a result we had a very happy daughter on Christmas day.

Could be better
Overall good item but a few problems. The power supply cable is not very long. The sound was a bit thin so we had to adjust it's settings within the system. Also the channel setting did not always work less than a week from buying Sometimes had to push channel button several time before the tv would go to that channel. Rang the helpline who helped me do a factory reset.This seemed to work but we don't t use this TV all the time so will need to monitor that problem for a while.

Not impressed
Sound on full (100) is still v poor Dvd slow load / unload & rumbles when in use Previous tv switched frm tv on loading a dvd, this has to be switched over - button on remote so ok not problem, but to switch back press Input & press again for DTV (at the other end of a list) Not v happy with Argos return policy - can't return electrical if used - how do we know abt sound & rumbling etc if don't use it?! Would not recommend - spend a little more and get a different make!

Check your purchase
We bought 2 of these for our spare rooms for when family members visit. They look very slick & picture is good but sound only average. Unfortunately we didn't realise until after we'd spent a great deal of time trying to hang one of them on a restrictive wall bracket that the HDMI socket was faulty. My husband was not inclined to dismantle everything so we used the scart lead but, none the less, this was a fault. May I suggest you check it before you hang it in the wall.

My little 19" TV.
I am very pleased with the little TV fits just nicely on our sideboard in our living room without being obtrusive, and is good value for the money, and with the in built DVD player, it is ideal for viewing films etc when the grandkids come round. The down side is it does not have a full power off/on switch built into the set, so you have to leave it in sleep mode, or switch it off at the maim socket, other than that it's a great little set, and has a 2yr warranty.
