Overall love - but the track pad is a little wonky
The display is great - pictures look vastly better than they did on my '08 iMac! Keyboard is a little noisy - but seems to work great. Startup is fast, launching apps is fast, rebooting is speedy, etc.... The only thing that's a little weird is the track pad. Best Computer Ever!!!

Decent machine
Its solid machine, there are some buggy issues and the keyboard is ok, wishing I held out for the new release, but it gets me through my work.

So Far So Good
I have always been a pc user, and am tired of OS changes, and glitchy operation. Don't know anything about Mac, but it's worth a try. Too early to say for sure, but so far I like it. Very fast !

Wonderful machine.
Writing now from the MBP 15, pretty stellar machine. I run a nonprofit media company so I edit video and photographs frequently, and the machine has no problem with Davinci Resolve or Lightroom. I'm an Apple fan (iPhone Xs, 27 iMac) and this product keeps my brand loyalty alive and well. Expensive? Sure, but when the vast majority of what I produce and generate revenue from depends on my laptop or desktop, I'm more than happy to ensure I get the best product I can. Enjoy yours!

Beautifully made and works well.
Have been using Macs since 2008 and preferred the ease of use compared to Windows. No slow downs after years of usage. Didn't have to defrag HD and all kinds of other procedures to prevent PCs from being sluggish. Easy to backup and restore OS system if something goes wrong which rarely happened. Probably only did once in 8 years of using my 2008 MBP 17 inch. Won't be going back to using a PC anytime soon, even if it's cheaper.

fast as heck
i didn't know how slow my old machine had gotten till i got this. i will add though that it gets hot fast when doing heavy image processing and that the battery life is not what i would have expected. Even doing super low-intensity stuff the battery only seems to last 4-5 hours.

Great Laptop
This laptop was just what I needed to be able to edit my photos when away from my iMac. I use it with an external hard drive. If you are running Photoshop and Lightroom I do suggest at least 1TB. Screen nice and clear. Easy to set up.

Responsive Delivery
2012 MacBook Pro with all my business on it crashed with no solution in sight. Needed this in a hurry, and B&H delivered it on a Saturday, the day after I ordered. It took me most of the weekend to get all my data migrated, but I was up and running on Monday. Lifesaver. The machine of course, is as advertised. Expensive, but it works. 2012 machine was laboring with Adobe applications that I have since removed and now looks like a good backup. It was time for a transition and this was about as painless as it could be.

PROBLEMS WITH THE STAND BY MODE
I love my new Mac. I only have one problem. When I close it, it doesn't put in Stand By and the battery goes down. Even if I press the Stand By button and close the Mac, it keep consuming the battery. I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem or if it's a software problem.

Sure, the machine gets warm. Sure, the battery does not last a full day of use. But does it matter? Well for me, not necessarily. I purchased the machine because I expected to give it tasks that are practical in environmental conditions that are normal. At times, I will execute scripts and tasks that take days to complete. I purchased the macbookpro and immediately after opening the laptop I inspected the camera and it was blurry. In fact it was blurrier than my older macbook air which does not even have retina display. I don't know how this could be ?

Battery life is never as advertised
I enjoy the computer. The keyboard has a new feel that I was a bit caught off guard with, but I have gotten used to it pretty quickly. On the inside it's a creative workhorse. The display is nice, but looks the same as the 2013 model I replaced it with. I had to spend another couple hundred dollars on a thunderbolt hub which was annoying. Fast and Reliable
This is my 4th MacBook Pro and the upgrade was easy. Transferring the old stuff from the older Mac to this one took about 12 hours but everything works including adobe suite and I didnt have to find the serial number. The machine is fast and Im happy. I dont know why the dark grey cost less but thats what I have.

New isn't always better
I bought this MBP to replace my old mid-2015 MBP. This new machine has four USB-C ports; I needed to buy an adapter to be able to attach my legacy USB and Thunderbolt 2 hard drives, and my HDMI monitor. Expensive but very good performance!
Works well on Protools and Premiere with 4k videos. I'm still trying to make better use of the touchpad but I think it might be an interesting tool for editing shortcuts. Only thing I can not understand is Apple take out the SD card slot. That was a stupid decision. Other than that I recommend the product!

Touch Bar and keyboard are not how it should be
Touch Bar is a completely useless feature. Keyboardis not convenient for real work. Make sure you try it well before you buy it. Apple has gone crazy with these features. There must be better options on the market.
