great for the price!
for the price, the U2412M is just great. crisp with good black levels, it is very easy on my eyes. i'd really like to get a second one to replace my acer al2412w, which is just all washed out compared to the u2412m.

Great for photographers
I am a photographer and love the size and quality to view all my photographs. Had to adjust the angle of the screen to prevent getting a sore neck since the screen is so big. I also sit back further which is more comfortable.

Buy two if you can
This monitor is so good, I just bought another to use for a dual-monitor setup. Colors are vivid and accurate, setup is easy and quick, 16:10 ratio, eIPS panel, LED backlight, DP/DVI/VGA input, multi-adjustable stand, low power use, and the list goes on. I would buy this product again
I bought this monitor for my home office and I liked it so much, I bought one for my office computer. The 24 size and clarity definitely makes working on the computer easier. Highly recommend.

I like the 16:10 format. It's the perfect aspect ratio for working on horizontals in Photoshop. The pallets fit perfectly to the side and no room is wasted.

Glad I made this choice.
I bought this monitor to use with my new MacBook Pro, primarily for photographic work, and I'm very pleased with it. Crystal clear display, excellent resolution, easy setup with the Mac, and it takes up very little real estate on my desk. If I had to find a fault, it'd be that the USB connectors are difficult to reach -- it pretty much requires turning the monitor face down to see what you're doing. Other than that, it's great.

Bright, good contrast and color
An improvement over the previous Dell model (the U2410M). Excellent color, brightness and, most importantly to me, warm-up time. The previous model was excellent, but took way too long to warm up and shot true colors and contrast.

Never before seen viewing!
Phenomenal color and clarity! As a JPEG-only shooter, sRGB is all that matters, and this monitior has sRGB covered! It's size makes it convenient for photo editing. Not to be overlooked, the 16:10 aspect ratio over 16:9 means more height for vertical viewing. There are larger versions available, but for the price point, this 24 is a great value! I highly recommend a Dell Ultra Sharp IPS panel from B and H today!

Very clear, high quality monitor
I had a 24 Dell 2407WFP from 6 years ago. I am using this, together with that one, for a dual monitor setup. I was very satisfied with the old one. I think the U2412 model has an even higher quality display though the stand is now all plastic--lighter but not as sturdy--though it does extend higher and so is more ergonomic. No dead pixels. Great quality image!

Monitor Very Good - Ports Hard to Reach
Got this monitor primarily for working with photographs and editing video. Monitor is very good quality for the price. Good resolution, very good colour, and easy on the eyes. It's much easier on the eyes, in fact, than an iMac. Only real problem with monitor is the ports, which are very inconveniantly placed. You have to tip the monitor over to get to the ports.

Great monitor for the cost.
Though I am only a novice with regards to Lightroom editing and IPS monitors, I have been very happy with the picture on these monitors so far. I have two of these next to each other and it is finally enough real estate to do all my work. Highly reccomended, but I have no frame of reference for more pro photo needs.

Big and beautiful
I use this monitor mainly for various types of graphic work, and it was time to upgrade a Dell 20 monitor of 2005 vintage. I really like all the USB ports and the fact that it rotates 90 degrees if I need it to. Picture clarity is excellent. Hopefully, it'll last as long as the 20.

Great Quality - Great Price
We didn't buy these for the tilt & swivel, but We've found that it's pretty useful. We bought 3, one of which is used for our video/graphic design computer. The size is perfect, not too big or small. The quality is excellent for video, and the contrast is great for business related tasks. This same product sells directly from Dell for a lot more than it costs here!

Great display
This is a very popular monitor, especially among budding photographers on a budget, and it certainly lives up to its reputation. Solid build, great color accuracy, and good adjustability. The panel looks gorgeous. The only notable downsides are no HDMI and no USB 3.0. It also doesn't have built-in speakers, but Dell sells soundbars that attach to the bottom that are pretty inexpensive.

Solid monitor at great price
This is a very good monitor at a solid savings. IPS but not fast, good for editing not gaming. Colors are excellent at this price and really like the size plus functionality off portrait and landscape setting we can arrange monitor by hand in seconds. a minus would be no speakers and no hdmi. but other wise a solid performer for any one on a budgit.

Great Value
I edit video professionally and use a FSI monitor for color correction. After my older Apple Cinema Display died I decided to try a new Dell to replace it. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that after calibration I could adjust the colors to very nearly match my FSI broadcast monitor, something even the Apple was unable to achieve. This monitor is a tremendous value and I almost can't wait til my second older monitor dies so I can buy another one.

Excellent monitor
I use this monitor to connect to both a PC and a Mac laptop. The display quality is excellent, but what I really like is that the controls are physical buttons, facing the front, so it is very easy to swtich between the two sources.

Decent Monitor
This monitor was purchased to use at my place of work. I am a graphic artist for a company that creates awnings. This monitor is more than sufficient for the type of work I do in photoshop, illustrator, flexi. Ive had for about 2 weeks now and no real complaints. It was basically plug and play, I havent really tinkered with any settings.
