I am glad that I got the M2 with the smart controller. No need to do connect the phone and go through the trouble to connect to the remote control. M2 performs really well and fun to easy to fly.

Shipped with known defects
Controller stopped holding a charge right before the warranty expired. Dji will not replace or sell one individually. On average with the terrible customer service reputation they have created since the original phantom 1

This is a jewel !!
The Mavic 2 Pro is a my 6th drone and my first compact. Now I can hike into wilderness areas and do some interesting filming. It's solid and holds it's own even in winds up to 22mph. The camera of course is top shelf and I plan to get my moneys worth out of it. The setup takes some time and patience but take your time, it's well worth it. The controller is worth every penny too. Give this one a try even if you are not a pro.

Solid product
I'm switching from a Phantom 4 with an iPad mini monitor w/Hoodman sunshade. This set up is a nice improvement over my old system in many ways. The seamless pairing of the smart controller to Mavic is wonderful. Quick startup and flights are important to my work flow. The camera output is a clear improvement over the Phantom. However, the dumbing down of some features on the Mavic is unfortunate and almost a dealbreaker for a working professional - lack of ATTI flight mode, and lack of Course Lock are two examples.

Hardware Issue Out of the Box - DJI Mavic 2 Pro
Unfortunately, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro had a hardware issue right out of the box and I had to send it back to be exchanged. The accelerometer was giving a Data Error no matter how many times I calibrated. Upon researching, I learned this was an error shared by quite a few DJI Mavic 2 Pro users, and the B&H department for aerial equipment issues confirmed the unit would need to be replaced. I'm anxious to get the replacement and expect to be pleased with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro once I have a working unit.

My first drone, WOW!
This drone is fun and easy to learn how to use. I like the smart controller because of the larger screen (rather than using my phone). I am not a tech savvy person, nor do I play video games, but this drone is a lot of fun. I still have to learn the photo and video part but I plan to use this to take some aerial shots of some forest land I own. It will be handy not having to traverse the land on foot and still get a good idea of the condition of the trees.

The perfect choice
The legendary hasselblad brand speaks for itself but that is not the maximum point if we talk about this drone, in this occasion its price and gifts were the main reason for the purchase since it is by far the best drone in relation to quality price that I could have got.

Amazing quality!
The build quality on this drone is second to none. The images produced are the best you can get for this size. Only draw back is DJIs no fly zones that practically cover most cities in their entirety. But if you fly out side of the city this is the drone to get.

To zoom or not to zoom, that is the question.
I struggled for a while between the M2 Zoom and the M2 Pro. I am a Part 107 pilot and do aerial work for money. Ultimately, it came down to the ability to zoom that won me over to the M2 Zoom. Sketchy after opening
I am writing upon opening the box. I got this unit from a deal zone sale. I couldnt believe it was that low of a price so I pulled the trigger. Just opened the plastic wrap, lofted the seal and took out the drone. After taking the clear ball dome off, I see a small scratch thats etched on the top. After further looking, I see a couple small dings in one of the feet. So now Im thinking that I got an open box or refurbished model.

It came with the seal broken and the box was dirty inside
I bought this unit as a new one but after I took away the plastic wrap from the box the seal on the box was broken, also the bow inside was dirty... I dont understant at this stage DJI keeps failing on the quality control, now I dont know if the drone in the box is new or an open box unit wrapped in plastic and sold as new....

Manual Will Not Tell You How to Operate It
I have not yet flown my Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller, but I have a few hundred hours flying other DJI products commercially. Mavic 2 Pro
Still getting used to the Smart Controller, so far I like the convenience. The interface is the same as the other DJI Go Apps but this controller can go online. The drone flies exceptionally well and is easy to control and fast, plus with the new propellers, it is much quieter to fly. I think the Smart Controller is actually 8gb Capacity internally.

Just buy one
This thing is incredible. I had never flown a drone before last week , it only took a few minutes to figure out the flight controls and have it up and running. Everything is super smooth and the pictures/videos are incredible even at night. Ive only scratched the surface of what this thing can do. On another positive note this thing is built like a tank which will be awesome for how hard i am on equipment. Its not the cheapest drone but it is a bad mammer jammer.
