I was sceptical about the noise cancelling. I shouldn't have been. It is very, very good and the sound quality is marvellous! I'm used to bluetooth earphones, but these are much better, despite being wired.

Good solution for travel
These ear buds are pretty easy to adapt to and cancel out plenty of ambient noise, despite the fact that they are in ear rather than over the ear buds. They also make it very easy to listen to a movie on a plane. They also pack up nicely into a small pouch that is travel friendly. I'm happy with the purchase.

Still Great After 1 Year
I purchased these 1 year ago, and they are still working just as well as brand new. The price is steep, but I use them literally every day. I have them on during normal work hours and use them to hear/speak during my online classes. Best gadget EVER
This headphones is the most precious piece of technology I have. I use it: during flight, bus travels, bike ridings, crowded city walks, in my home when my two daughters are yelling around... And as I am photographer in parties, I use this to avoid losing audition due to extremely loud music. I doubted when bought it but thank universe I did.

Great Sound and Convenience
These little headphones kill the drone of an airplane as well as my over-the-ear model. But their compact size is what sets them apart - they fit easily in your purse, briefcase, or pocket. The only downside is the price (hence the loss of one star). Highly recommended.

Ive got Bose over the head sound cancelling headphones and the normal Bose in-ear buds. Theyve worked great for years but I wanted a more portable alternative to the headphones and these are it!

New version has inferior noise cancellation
I purchased the previous version of these buds about 3 years ago and really liked them - excellent sound and noise cancellation. Over time I started getting static on them. It seemed the wired connection was breaking down. I paid about $100 to have them replaced with the "newer" version. It looked nice and sounded good but provided very weak noise cancellation. I was offered a second pair but the same problem was present. Very sad to see the quality of an excellent product go downhill.

Great for work and travelling
It is my first noise-cancelling earphones and I simply love it. I personally preferred the in-ear since it is more discreet and compact to carry anywhere. Tried it on an international flight and it easily cancelled out the engine and crowd noise. I also use it on a daily basis at work. My third pair!
It is very good, but this is my third pair in 5 years. The rubber membranes covering the battery compartments for both pairs peeled off after just about 1.5 years. Then, both of them died after a little over 2 years on the same cause, the left piece died. I am dependent on it for traveling on the airplane, it is easy to carry and function well. So, I brought my third pair.

Great sound but didn't hold up
I really like these but they are not made to last as other reviewers have noted. Mine developed an intermittent short that caused a lot of static. It is out of warranty and Bose wants nearly $200 to replace it. Great deal for Bose, not so great for the customer.

Great Noise Cancellation, So-So Sound Quality
Purchase these for noise cancellation, not sound quality. Very boomy/muddy bass, too bass-forward which veils mids and highs. I purchased these mostly for engine noise mitigation on long-haul flights which of course these excel at. If you don't need noise cancellation, look elsewhere.

Positively surprised
I am surprised how well this work even for non-stationary noise (like voices / conversations). Allows me to concentrate at work even when somebody is talking right next to me.

Love these headphone!!
I love these headphones! They are comfortable and you can easily wear them for hours. I wear them at work in an open work space setting when you turn on the noise canceling it is like sitting in your own peaceful world.

Finally found my best noise cancelling option
If you travel on planes or try to talk on your phone in a noisy environment, noise cancellation is a must have. My wife and I have tried numerous on ear, over ear, in ear options. These earbuds do the job. I walk through the neighborhood with traffic, lawn blowers etc. and with the noise cancelation turned on I can only hear a distant, very faint something which is so much better than my prior non-canceling earbuds. Compact and comfortable
Compact and very comfortable. After three hours in my ears, I did start to feel them, but it was nothing compared to the discomfort of listening to the drone of an airplane. I borrowed a friend's over-the-ears headphones a couple of times before, but they didn't work as well for me because I wear glasses. These in-ear headphones are great! They also stay in your ears, unlike my phone's earbuds.

Comfortable, amazing sound.
These in-ear headphones are fantastic. They really do cancel out noise. I use them on airplanes when traveling to client sites. I have no issues hearing jet engines, and it makes the flight so much more comfortable. The reason I got these over over-ear headphones is to not ruin my hair while using them, since I use them mostly during business hours. I suggest these to anyone that needs noise cancellation without the headband hair.

Excellent Product
I use these for about a week or so and I am very happy with them. They do sound great and the noise cancelation feature works well. They are expensive so I am hoping that solid quality comes with them.

Amazing noise cancelling
I actually wanted the headphones for some quiet time when I want to shut out any background noise. I read the noise cancelling (NC) was really good and it turns out it is brilliant. Ive used it on the bus the difference with the NC on was amazing - love them. And sound is pretty good. Bose quality. I few times Ive thought the sound of the music sounds slightly 'boosted' or artificial compared to others but then sometimes it sounds totally fine. Overall superb headphones that I glad I've bought.
