Great tech! Great Display! Keyboard works with iPad!!
Graduated to this from a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard. The large display makes working on more than one doc or image so easy and the Retina 4K is a revelation, literally. All Solid State!
I converted to Apple in 2012 when I got a 21.5 iMac. It was a beautiful computer. However, I wanted a solid state drive for greater performance. Looked at replacing the hard drive with an SSD but did not want to take the risk of damaging the computer or not having the conversion work correctly. Out with the old, in with the new...
My early 2008 iMac was so slow with El Capitan that I knew it was time for a new iMac. Some add new components, but my activity monitor told me more memory would not help and I didnt want to bother with a new SSD installation. Even iMacs get old. Our old and currently my wife's 11 year old iMac was terminal, but she couldn't stand the idea of CHANGE. Finally she allowed me to get her a new base level iMac. So far, so good!
I tend to hold on to electronics until their breaking point, as evidenced by my 8-year-old 15" Macbook Pro that had finally reached its limit. I bought this iMac to replace an essentially identical 6 year old iMac that was causing me fits with frequent freezing when using it for emails and occasionally in Word. When our Windows based computer needed replacing we decided to give Apple a try. We have used Apple phones and iPads with great satisfaction. Very pleased with our purchase and love so much about the iMac verses our Windows computer. My wife loves the Photo app and says the photo editing is outstanding. Apple 21.5" iMac
It's been nine years since purchasing my last iMac. There have been so many changes including OS and security updates, peripheral upgrades and audio/visual enhancements. The computer is definitely lighter in weight due to the absence of an internal optical drive. Not powerful enough for Adobe Premiere
I was warned by a colleague but didn't want to spend the money for a more powerful processor, reasoning that I wasn't going to be doing a lot of graphics or other demanding tasks when editing on Premiere . . . but it is very sluggish with this software. 2017 21.5 inch Imac
I replaced my aging 2009 iMac with this 2.3 iMac. I wouldn't have replaced my old one as it was running fine, but no longer supported by Apple and programs I used would not run on it anymore, so I had to buy one. I don't think it is a whole lot faster, as I had put in 8 gb of ram into matching this one. It's an iMac...What's Not to Like?

Great Machine
This Mac is our 10th machine since starting our business so were loyal purchasers to begin with. This is the first that we have ordered with the SSD drive preinstalled having added after the fact on our last 2 machines. We also run Windows 10 with Parallels on a virtual machine for our Quickbooks. This machine and the SSD speed handles and meets our best expectations! The visual of the 4K Retina is amazing. Got this one Black Friday at a great promo price including the SSD Upgrade and no freight or tax. Great value to service a new employee running on our wireless network.

This is a great computer
This is amazing. I have always been a Windows compute person. I started out with DOS and had all the upgrades. I liked win 7 but then they cAme out win 8 and 10 and I hated both of them. If you dont work with win 10 everyday you forget where things are located. It is without a doubt in my opinion the worst version of windows I have used. I decided I wanted something easier and apple has the right way of doing things, no crashes and so far I havent had to restart the c computer. As I get older I find that I want to uncomplicate my computer us and the Mac has done that.

Gorgeous machine
My godson wanted a new computer for his tenth birthday and I said "sure, you will get a MAC". B&H had a discount on this machine so I ordered one. As usual, they shipped it in no time! He had been using some cheap "plasticky computer" and when he opened the box, all he said was "WOW!!". We fired it up and he was a happy camper :) I am still using this 8 year old MacBook Pro and this iMac is a different animal for sure. The latest MacOS is awesome. Maybe I should upgrade mine as well and I know where to shop one at = B&H.

This is the best Mac I've owned yet!
I'm a graphic artist and have owned macs for over 20 years, the display on this iMac is blowing me away. Definitely the best mac I've owned yet. I always buy the largest amount of ram possible because graphics programs require a lot of processing speed and with this iMac the files are being processed almost instantly. The keyboard and mouse that come with it pair immediately, very handy. They are rechargeable so I'm not always looking for new batteries. You really can't go wrong with this workhorse computer.

Superb iMacComputer
The mid2017 iMacs are highly rated, and my new 21.5" 3.4ghz is superb in every way. It is my second iMac replacing a 2010 model, and is used for everything, including photo editing. I rarely use my Macbook Air anymore, unless I am traveling. Typical Apple product ...... Beautiful, well engineered and seamless with my three other Apple devices. In his book "The Innovators, Walter Isaacson described Steve Jobs attention to detail as "genius", and the tradition holds!. An expensive, but worth it upgrade!

SUPER DEAL!!!
I needed a new Mac and did a lot of shopping around and price comparing. The Apple store online, Amazon, and various online computer outlets. If the price was more affordable, it was generally a refurbished computer. My friend told me about B&H, so I immediately visited their site. The price was for a brand NEW iMac, expedited shipped and no sales tax. It arrived in a timely manner, was packaged perfectly and I could not be happier!!! I would recommend B&H to anyone. Beautiful machine but...
Making a big jump from Mac Mini with mountain lion OS to this one with High Sierra. Migrating files over was easy, but big pain is that when I try to open and use my Downloads folder the whole finder hangs. Can't access those files directly. Could not find a solution online, but did find people with similar issue. Are things faster than my old Mac. Can't really tell. Apps are working better, but that was b/c my old browser wasn't working well with the most modern websites.

Great machine, great operating system, great apps. The movie playing app that comes installed REMEMBERS WHERE YOU WERE IN THE MOVIE, even if you ejected it. Just one example. This machine is made by people who are genuinely thinking about your user experience. And my every contact with their support people is good. For people who have already used/owned a Mac, this may not be news. I cant compare it to other Macs, only with the Windows/PC world. Why did I wait so long?

excellent desk top computer
I have owned two macbook pro retina laptops but wanted a much bigger screen. I received this as a Christmas gift. It is very easy to set up. I love the larger screen - perfect for watching videos and for making movies in iMovie. The shipping time was super-fast and the computer was very well packaged. The only thing I have to get used to using is the somewhat smaller chargeable keyboard. But that is minor. Highly recommend this iMacm retina colour is brilliant!
