Very good guitar for the money

I have played guitar for 50+ years and have owned several. Let me start off by saying that once I got this one set up, it is as playable as any I have owned. Out of the box, the action was way too high, but after cranking down on the truss rod (with the included wrench), I got it down to where it plays pretty good. The only caveat here is the bridge is set a little too low at the high end (G-B-E strings). Im sure with a string change and a little... It sounds really good for its size unplugged with great sustain, resonance and harmonics -- but plugged in, it blew me away. The electronics are really good. The shape of the body, with the slightly shorter neck, makes it extremely comfortable to play sitting down. While the workmanship is pretty good, it seemed to fall a little short cosmetically of the pristine quality I have come to expect from Yamaha in the past. But all in all a very nice guitar at this price point. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. Its close but just not quite a 5.Show Less
