Great value
Great images for a low price. Overall a fast lens with good sharpness and a very nice rendering. Only downside is if you shoot RAW there is a fair amount of distortion, which can be easily removed by most modern image processing programs.

Pure Excellence
I purchased the 28mm, f2 for use with my a6000 and I'm blown away! Color rendition, sharpness, both outstanding! Now using this gem 90% of the time. If you're looking for an excellent lens which is suited for most situations, this is it.

It is as sharp as I need it to be and it is super light.
This is everything I ask for, sharp enough to produce anything within my liking and light enough to travel anywhere without feeling anything in your hand. A little more expensive than I expected, but again, so is everything else in life.

Great Picture Quality & Focal Range
I think everyone should have a Fixed Lens with a Wide Focal Range in their and this is a great starter lens for a reason price. I am not a pro by any means, but I feel like one when I see the results of the images when I use this lens.

tops for sharp images
This a a great little lens and a perfect for my new A7 III. It's small, light and produces very sharp images. The f/2 is fine for producing a shallow depth of field and I have no need to go larger. A winner and I would buy it again.

Awesome sharp and lightweight
I use this lens on the a7s and take it everywhere. From weddings to panos at Yosemite. Its so lightweight I love having a full frame camera with me again recreationally. Its super sharp and am looking to get the 21mm adapter next.

Surprisingly good lens
For the price, I had low expectations. But it's pretty sharp! And since I shoot video, this is pretty good when you do manual focusing even if it's focus-by-wire. It's small and light and wide enough for a great walk around lens.

First lens you should buy if you're on a budget
Best bang for the buck full frame e-mount lens available right now. Retains sharpness throughout the center and edges and AF works well on it. Can be converted to a ultra wide or fish eye lens with the Sony converter attachments.

Pretty Nice
Reasonably sharp by F3.0 or so. Not bad wide open though. Focus speed is pretty good. Overall works well with the A7RII. Distortion is corrected well with the LR profile. When used outdoors with ISO 50 the results are stellar!

Not as sharp as I expected
I did a comparison of this Lens on my A6000 at F4.5 28mm with the kit lens. The image quality is about the same, and the kit lens is sharper in the corners somehow. Maybe I just received a bad copy. I am going to return it.

Great affordable wide lens for your Sony E-Mount system
Either use it on your full frame or APS-C Sony camera, this lens performs great. It is one of the best low priced prime lenses in the Sony E-Mount collection. Should be part of every E-Mount camera owner's collection.

Best 28mm in its class
Small-lightweight-quiet-fast AF-fast aperture-Sony has done it $ lens that Zeiss and others are 3x the cost. Super for travel full length portraits and landscapes. It is perfect for video shoots on A7 in low light

Great value
The quality and value of this lense is great. The price was good for its value. I am impressed with Sony effort put on this lense almost close to Zeiss 55 mm. I am looking forward to buy also the Sony 85 mm f1.8.

Excellent afordable lens
This is a great lens, focuses quickly and quietly, has nice bokeh and minimum focus distance. It has fairly high distortion which is meant to be corrected with software, either in camera or post.

great buy
Awesome lens for an affordable lens especially for a full-frame lens. It did the job and works well with the Sony A7 series with the option of APS-C mode for more flexibility. No regrets here.

Small and Sharp lens
When you go out for an outdoor shoot and need prime lens for landscape or wide angle. I recommend this lens. I like to bring this lens and 55m 1.8f when I go traveling. perfect match!

This one is a must
I've been shooting with 55mm zeiss which is more than twice the $ as this one, yet it's nearly as good and focal range with the white angle adapter makes this lens for the price a must

Perfect for street and travel photography
If you are like this focal length, then this is a must have lens for your Sony A7Rii. Personally, this is currently my default combo for travel and street. Image quality is amazing.

Love it!
Probably the most portable AND affordable FE lens for the Sony E-mount. Quality is excellent and the available fish/wide converters make this a very versatile piece of glass.

Solid lens
This is a great lens for the price. It is very crisp and light weight. I use it on a Sony A7r so it has a great compact feel. Pretty solid bokeh and is nice for low light.

Light lens that's a heavy hitter
I bought a Sony 24-70 mm for my new Sony 7Rii but it is just too heavy (1.95 pounds) to use as a travel walk around lens. The 28 mm is light & perfect for my needs.

Spoiled by the sharpness of the Sony 55mm F1.8
Sony a7r with the 55mm is a beautiful combo, unfortunately my copy of the sony 28mm was lacking sharpness.Hopefully more wide angle options will come out this year.
