Great camera
Have Canon 7D and 50D for sports photography. Purchased the Sony A6000 for travel camera. Great choice

Affordable beast!
Right out of the box with this kit lens you can get a variety of shots... Ranging from portraits to landscapes with the 16-50mm focal length. With 24.3 mp on an aps-c sensor, this is an affordable beast! This is my first camera purchase, so I'm still learning, but it seems mirrorless is the way to go.

Great Pictures!
I needed a new camera to replace my Canon S3IS. Although I loved the Canon's super zoom, the pictures were always soft. I purchased this camera with the Sigma 30mm f/2.8 lens and all I can say is, wow! The sharpness, detail, and color is incredible. I love all of the manual features available, but even the full auto modes are really quite good. This is a fabulous camera if image quality is paramount, but you don't want to spend a fortune.

Brilliant mid-range camera
The a6000 bridges the gap between high-end point-and-shoot and mid-range DSLRs perfectly. In terms of low-light performance, it handily beats a but one or two in either of those categories. And at the current price, now that the a6300 is out, it is an absolute steal of a deal. Loving it, especially combined with the SEL50F18 prime lens!

Ready To Go
I purchased this kit less than a week before I left for my trip to San Francisco, as an on-the-whim purchase. I have a D7000, but I didn't want to lug it across the country, and I was severely limited in my luggage space because I wanted to get away with not checking in my suitcase. So I wanted a smaller and lighter alternative that wouldn't compromise quality, but I wouldn't feel like I am carrying around a sack of rice as I trudged up and down ... Show More

A great camera
A great all around camera for the enthusiast. It's light, small and easy to carry. Picture quality is super. This is my second a6000. I thought about the a6300 but had a hard time justifying the additional cost since I don't shoot video.

Amazing Value
I bought the a6000 a couple of weeks ago with the 35mm/f1.8 lens as a starter mirrorless kit. After shooting with it, I have to say that the value this camera provides for $450 is unmatched. First, what everyone else has said is true- the autofocus capability of this camera is incredible. I have put the camera in burst mode shooting 11 fps of my dog running and later during post-processing found that just about every photo was crystal-clear and p... Show More

Just What I Needed But Didn't Even Know
I got this so I could take more pictures outside of work. It's too hard to carry around my dSLR and I was tired of taking poor quality photos with my phone. I ended up taking this to one of my jobs just to test out (I shoot cars) and I love it! I don't have to lug the dSLR gear out every time now. Very excited.

Great travel camera. Compact, yet does everything (and more) that you would want a camera to do! Great value for the price.

Outstanding little camera
Extremely happy with this little camera. We'd had an old Cybershot for years but decided to go a little smaller. So happy we did. Love the option for the viewfinder in particular because of how much I shoot outdoors. Nice to have that option to get a better picture of what I'm shooting. The LCD works fine even in full sun but squinting sometimes gets old and hard to compose the shot. The ONLY two things I'd change after having it two weeks is tha... Show More

Smaller, lighter camera delivers
We own a Nikon D5000 DSLR and use primarily for family / vacation photos (VR 18-55mm) and kids sports (VR 55-300mm zoom), but by comparison the Sony alpha 6000 with 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses outperformed for these applications. The Sony was lighter and smaller for easier carrying. It had faster auto-focus (both lenses), and produced better low light and zoom pictures for sports action. The Nikon, even with the VR lenses produced a comparably bl... Show More

Very NICE Camera!
I bought this for my mother who didnt need a big dslr. But who wanted a nice camera thats smaller and easy to use amd this was it she LOVES it. She likes that she can get differsnt lenses for it the future but that it is small. The lcd screen on the back is awesome and the digital eye port is nice aswell. We also noticed the battery charges very fast and last a good while. When taking photos it captures quickly and focus is very fast. Over all great camera for the travel as her and my father go on cruises alot.

Goldilocks Was Right!
I bought the a6000 to replace a point and shoot camera and a Nikon D60. So far the camera fits the bill nicely. Easy to figure out, high quality pictures and easy to change lenses. The WiFi connection to my iPhone was very easy to set up, the WiFi to a computer, not so much. The manual is terrible.

Excellent kit
I bought this kit with the A6000, 16-50mm lens, and 55-210mm lens on sale in December. I'm very happy with the A6000, I also own an NEX6 and I believe the A6000 feels more solid and professional than the NEX. The camera came with the latest firmware installed which included the XAVC-S codec for video. The shutter noise is much quieter on the A6000. The buffer for shooting multiple shots is much better (though RAW will fill the buffer much quicker... Show More

Outstanding Service & Product
I'm an amateur and take pictures for a Veterans' Home. Yhe first camera I ordered did not have a viewfinder (my mistake). I exchanged it for the Sony a6000 and am very pleased with the product. I'm also very pleased in the way B&H handled the exchange. They made everything very easy and were able to help me choose the right camera for my use.

Amazing Camera
I use the A6000 for personal photography. I have taken a few pictures that are printed on aluminum and acrylic and hanging on my wall next to professional photographers and you can't tell the difference! Love the ease of use once you figure out where everything is in the menus. Wifi works great and the transfer to phone/tablet is an awesome feature for the social media crowd.

Great little camera
Myself: Photography is a hobby and by no means a professional photographer but love to capture life as much as possible. Summary: Great camera for travel and all purpose photography. I have a Canon 70D and a few lenses. Wanted to a small form factor during my short trips. Bought a 35 mm lens with the camera instead of the stock lens options being sold at costco and other stores. 35 mm gives me a good wide angle view you can use it for portraits a... Show More

HUGE DEAL in such a little package!
I do a lot of hiking and while I did have a Canon DSLR before, I found it way too heavy and bulky to take along on top of a day pack in the woods. I sold it in exchange for a GoPro and while it was a lot more convenient in size, I did not find it as use friendly and took up too much time to turn on, set up the right settings, connect to my app on my phone and bring out all the right accessories. So I recently read up on forums for recommended hik... Show More
